Cons: I have found the back USB to be unresponsive at times.

Pros: CheapGood connectorsCool running board
Comment:
Excellent, and cool running board. I haven`t had any big issues with this. Everything is spaced properly and has connectors where you need them. The back panel USB has given me problems at times, where I would have to take out a USB device and insert  it into a different slot. Overall I would say this is a solid board for the price.

Cons: sata port orientation

Pros: Very good Overclocking options, very stable
Comment:
This motherboard is very good for overclocking. It My e8500 is at 3.8ghz. The options are very easy to use as well. There are loads of usb ports. Only thing I don't like is that the sata ports aren't of the horizontal variety.

Great budget motherboard. It does it's job. I would definitely buy this MB again. I'm poor and still using old IDE hardware. This MB is able to support 2 IDE devices.

Pros: awesome, fast, stable

upgraded to this from a 780 SLI mobo, and it is just head and shoulders above anything Nvidia makes. Way faster disk transfers, overclock on my Q9450 is way higher now, ram can overclock higher. Great bios and setup, cannot go wrong with Gigabyte. Running my Q9450 at 1900FSB (3.8Ghz) and doing that with lower voltages than my Nvidia mobo needed for 3.6Ghz. Even Ram can run way higher too, awesome mobo for overclocking.

Cons: -Kind of basic on features.

Pros: +Inexpensive.+Low power consumption(it under volts a bit).
Comment:
I got this board to replace a friends dead EVGA board. It has worked very well and has a side effect of running the CPU cooler since it under volts it. This board does not have all the latest features, but is hard to beat at this price.

Cons: Clown-coloured PCB?

Pros: Quiet, low power
Comment:
This motherboard was purchased for my new gaming rig (well, new at the time), and it has held up well. I realize that LGA775 is a 'dying' breed, so I was happy to pick this rig up when I did.The motherboard works well, although when I got it, the smell of acetone was VERY strong - I had to let it air out before I put my new computer together.

Cons: NB gets super hot

Pros: Works well, seems solidly built
Comment:
This is a good budget board. It replaced a DOA AsRock P45XE, which I still think is a much higher spec board... if only it wasn't DOA and no stock LOL.Easily overclocked 5200 from 2.5 to 3.33 GHz, stable. Had a problem with OCZ 1066 memory modules running at spec, replaced with Kingston HyperX and all seems to work fine.Has its quirks: sometimes upon restart keeps on restarting, have to switch off PS with the switch, wait and switch back on - then all is fine. This is irritating but not too bad.NB gets very hot.Overall, a good buy for the $$$.

Cons: -Ram slots very close together(using four modules)-Not the best northbridge heatsink design, can run hot

Pros: -Price for P45 capabilities-Simple, basic overclocking-Reasonable layout-
Comment:
Simple yet capable budget performer! Overclocking on lower FSB or higher multiplier CPUs was a breeze and totally stable. This board gives P45 capability at a lower price point (and I got my rebate).

Cons: - Northbridge cooler gets kind of toasty

Pros: - Great layout, no hard to reach connectors- Solid feature set for the price- BIOS is straightforward, overclocking is a breeze- Tons of USB ports
Comment:
I chose this board for my first foray into overclocking. I have no regrets. Installation was smooth with no awkward connectors and the manual was clearly laid out. Using the BIOS to overclock was easy to master, even for a novice like me, and now I'm running my E5200 at 3.5GHz and my finicky G.Skill PC2-8000 RAM at its rated 1000Mhz speed. Highly recommended, unless you desire Crossfire, then get the UD3P.

Cons: bios options, pcie slots (but expected both of these for the price)

Pros: cheap, reliable, overclockable, full size atx
Comment:
Included everything I expected. Took a E5200 from 2.50GHZ to 3.33GHZ (prime stable) with only changing the FSB. Runs some G.SKILL ram at 1066MHz 5-5-5-15 as specified w/o problems.Great price for what this board is. I've been running other Gigabyte S775 boards (DQ6's, DS3's) with insane voltages for years and they keep going. I anticipate the same from this ultra durable 3 board. Can't expect more for the price. Cons: Lacking some of the options on the more expensive boards. (only a weakness if you need one of those features)

Pros: Inexpensive, fast, cool & SUPER EASY TO OVERCLOCK!
Comment:
My Biostar TForce 965PT died and I needed an inexpensive replacement that I could just plug all of my existing components into (C2D E4300, 8800GTS, DDR2-667) and maintain my 3.0Ghz overclock. The EP45-UD3L met the need, and exceeded my expectations. Overclock was super easy, my benchmarks where up to 9% faster, and the CPU ran a couple degrees cooler! I plugged in all my components, it booted first try...updated a bunch of drivers in Vista, and then started my overclock. With the 965PT the overclock was quite a bit of work, had to gradually work the clockspeed up while manually tweeking voltages, to find a 24/7 stable overclock. Also running a 1333FSB required the P965 chipset to be overclocked, since it was only rated 1066FSB. (possibly the reason for the failure after 2 years running 24/7 at 1333)With the EP45-UD3L the overclock was the easiest I have experienced! On my first try I set the FSB clock to 333, set the memory multiplier to 1:1 (the memory multiplier setting is a little confusing, but everything is explained on-screen in the bios), set voltages to AUTO and even left 'Speedstep' turned on. Restarted the computer, expecting to have to go back and tweek the settings. To my surprise, on the first attempt the system was 100% stable. Load-tested it with Prime95...ROCK SOLID! The auto voltage set the core voltage about 0.01V higher than I did in my manual overclock on the 965PT, however CPU Core temps peaked at 57 deg C under full load on both cores (about 6 deg cooler!! same stock Intel cooler, possibly better thermal paste made a difference, much cooler chipset probably made a bigger difference). Note that this board is rated for 1600mhz FSB, so overclocking the chipset was not necessary , and the NB stayed a cool 55 deg C under full load. An additional thing that impressed me is that the overclock remained stable with SpeedStep turned on. With the 965PT I had to disable all of the energy saving features to get it stable. With the P45 it seamlessly switches between 6x and 9x CPU multiplier, allowing the system to idle at 1998mhz and jump up to 2997mhz when any load is detected. The experience is seamless and stable, and I did all my stability tests and benchmarks with these energy saver features turned on. Should save me a few $'s on electricity and let me system idle a lot cooler! :-)Now for the performance details. I re-ran the "Windows Vista Experience Index", the CPU rating increased from 5.6 to 5.7! I re-ran 3DMark06, and got a score of 9507, about a 9% increase from the 8695 score I got on the 965PT. This is all the same hardware other than the motherboard! The 3 generation chipset jump from the P965/ICH8 to the P45/ICH10 actually makes a performance difference! In conclusion, this is a GREAT motherboard for an excellent price that will let me upgrade to the newest LGA775 QuadCore when the time comes. Unless there is a specific feature you need from one of the more expensive models (dual video cards, eSATA, dual NIC's, etc.) or you are doing extreme overclocks over 1600 FSB, then I see no compelling reason to choose one of the more expensive models over this board.

When I first installed this I had problems with my OCZ 4/1gb sticks of memory. I could only bootup with two 1gb sticks installed. Later after mixing memory around I am finally running all 4 sticks of memory. I have not yet tried to OC yet but if it is anything like my old gigabyte 965 I'm sure it will oc like a champ, I used to run an e4300 at 2.7ghz with stock voltage.

This board is great! Plain and simple! One of the best P45 chipset motherboards out there, besides the UD3P. It is hands down the best value for the dollar when it comes to skt 775 overclocking motherboards. I sure hope this company keeps up with this thinking in the future. Cons: No RAID Only 6 instead of 8 SATA slots

Pros: Good no frills board. Overclocks without too much difficulty. Has all the basics and drivers are easy to installHas no prob recognizing 8 GB of RAM
Comment:
My old p35 MB and since my system is a couple of years old already I didn't want to spend too much on a replacement. This seemed to fit the bill as it is able to handle my 8GB of good memory without a hitch and seems like a decent overclocker.Only thing is if you are looking for RAID and a few other frills look elsewhere but I like Gigabyte boards and this seems like another good quality one.

Cons: None, I precisely chose this board for the features it has; so nothing is missing; the bios has all the settings an overlocker needs; included instructions manual is prefect; all necessary accessories were included.

Pros: Price, quality and features. If you're looking for a E8400 or Q6600 board, then look no further than the EP45-UD3xx series from Gigabyte. Different models in this series will have the features you want, this particular model I believe has the lowest number of features, and that's just what I wanted.
Comment:
I had to return the first board because the bios was faulty (would corrupt on any change of settings). The rma-exchange board worked perfectly. I am very impressed and thoroughly satisfied with this board now. I was able to overclock my Duo Core to 4.05ghz effortlessly using a large Sunbeam HSF. My rig (e8400 + 7600gt) now only consumes 170watts at full load, while my older P4 Dell used 260watts. If this kind of quality and pricing options continue, then I will always stick with Gigabyte.

Cons: - Memory command rate locked at 2T- Slightly longer boot time with AHCI mode enabled- Audible grinding noise during full load- Dynamic Energy Saver causes interference with onboard audio. Leave it off.- No RAID, no 1394, no eSATA bracket (get the EP45-UD3R if you want these)

Pros: - Excellent overclocking board- Runs cool
Comment:
Some minor flaws, but acceptable for the price if you don't need any of the frills. I never use 1394 anyway, and if I ever need to, I'll buy a dedicated PCI-E card for it. (read full review) This review was modfied by poster z 03-05-09 03:14 PM This review was modfied by poster @ 03-05-09 03:40 PM
