runs quite excellent, i have only purchased gigabyte boards for the last few years simply because of value and quality Intel HD integrated graphics chip sucksenergy port locations I was not expecting a lot with integrated graphics but i thought it would at least play videos and low end games flawlessly but it does not, which is why i gave only a 4 rating. all boards really should stick with nvidia or ati chipsets |

Employed this board for a replacement computer system for my dad. I paired it with an Intel Core i5-661, 4 GB of Corsair XMS3 RAM, a WD Caviar Black HD, and Antec PSU. It booted the initial time and hasn't given any troubles. The integrated graphics operate wonderful offered you use an Intel chip that has the capability. |

I purchased this motherboard specifically to run Mac OS X. My present computer (a two.5 year old Dell Vostro 200 Core 2 Duo) runs OS X. I installed a Core i3 560 three.33ghz cpu on this motherboard, GSkill Ripjaws 4gb and swapped in the hard drive (with a 10.6.6 Snow Leopard install) from the Dell. On the 1st boot, OS X froze on begin up and stated to press the restart button. I then went into the BIOS and changed the SATA mode to AHCI and on the second boot, OS X began up perfectly. None. I bought this particularly to run my current OS X installation and don't see a lot of cons. I haven't tried sleep but don't count on it to operate. Also, the integrated graphics doesn't function but I am using the old EVGA 8400gs from the Dell. Downloaded the Realtek drivers and the onboard ethernet functions perfectly. Have Also installed Windows 7 and had no challenges switching among tough drives. |

To the owner that reported his board as DOA under, the Video for these boards will only operate with Core I3 and Core I5 Clarkdale dual core CPUs, your I7 will not function because it does not have on die video. none |

This board has just the appropriate quantity of capabilities and required virtually no configuration. No try was produced to OC this board as it was for a modest business develop.It was stable and smooth suitable out of the box. I set two things in the BIOS and I was off and operating. Although it's just a MicroATX board, an additional fan header or two would be fine. Though it's an H55 board, I applied an i5 760 with GT 210 for graphics. It was the least expensive 1156 socket board at the time and was nicely worth just about every penny! |

I appreciate gigabyte borads. I adore New Egg but... I check all boards for connections all the time, how I missed this I have no idea. WARNING this board does not have IDE connections onboard. You will want to obtain a Sata DVD drive. Do they make sata floppy? |

Anything performs and is totally compatible with the components applied: i7, 4GB DDR3 1600 Ram Onboard Graphics chip was DOA. I built the technique and installed almost everything appropriately. Booted method, it turned on and every thing was fine, except there was no display. Reset BIOS and so on. to no avail. Rebuilt technique and checked for loose wiring and so on. to no avail. Plugged in a spare PCI-e Graphics card and I was in a position to see post screen and load BIOS. Came to the conclusion that the onboard graphics processing unit was DOA (even soon after setting it to the major graphics adapter it nonetheless did not perform). Too poor, this has been my initial mishap with Gigabyte, and I was not expecting this following hearing all the other excellent reviews.Negative eggs happen I guess.. This is a nice compact motherboard board. Installation of the board and components was a snap. With an Intel i3 CPU, 4GB DDR3 ram and an EVGA 9600GSO graphics card, this is great for my wife's internet browsing, word processing and video entertainment. It is worth-priced and came with a free of charge, promotional 4gb USB thumb drive. None I'm embarrassed to admit that I never ever even checked to see if this board had an IDE information connection. It does not! This need to not be a surprise on this size board. It also only has one particular chassis fan connection. I'm now waiting for a new SATA DVD-R drive and a fan 'Y" cable connector from NewEgg. I'm also obtaining prepared to sell two IDE DVD drives. Oh,nicely! |

Board booted appropriate up immediately after getting slapped with each other speedily to get a method replaced. would rather have much more pci-e than pci slots nice features for the cost. -Steady-Low cost-Excellent onboard audio-3 year warranty -Only 2 DIMMS (not a big deal really... even four gigs of RAM is adequate for gaming)-No SLI/Crossfire. Granted most matx situations won't function for that anyway.-DDR3 1600 (and, I assume, superior) will be downclocked to 1333 unless you go into BIOS and fiddle around. I'd purchase it once more in a heartbeat. If you're going into BIOS to get your 1600mhz RAM fully utilized, do a search on gigabyte boards downclocking RAM. Some uncomplicated guidelines on what to do. You'll have to change your advanced processor settings to enabled alternatively of auto if you allow XMP (which is what you'll require to enable to fix the downclocking). It's really no biggie. Anyway, get this board. I tried a a lot more high priced ASUS GENE III and got burned. Study from my mistake. |

Wonderful cost, apparently fantastic evaluations from other individuals. had the elements I wanted. MOBO stopped working after about 5 days. Did a restart and all I would get is 2-three seconds of power on, then power off... cycle repeats indefinitely. Unplugged all components, unseated, reseated, nevertheless not even make it to the POST. Replaced components, power provide, no avail. Could be a configuration dilemma... I'm as well fed up to mess with it any longer. Not worth it. Just want a mobo that functions reliably.Do your self a favor: ahead of purchasing this board google: "gigabyte ga-h55m powers on and off" and study the stories. Switching to ASUS. I'm confident the RMA will go smoothly... NEWEGG rocks! |

A lot of Bios settings to tweak, Gigabyte supplied GUI hardware dashboard app allowing three hasslefree overclocking profiles with customizable threshhold alarms for fans and cpu temp. All around strong board, good quality with fraction of the cost. Was shocked with the lack of advancement of the cpu hs/fan style,(push plastic pressure pins in and turn). They've gone backwards from the socket perimeter base employed for latch locking. Need to install cpu/hs assm 1st to verify pins are completely thru, then set up mainboard in chassis which poses further perform when upgrading. Extremely satisfied with Gigabyte products and Newegg for carrying them. |

Built eight Ƙ) systems utilizing this board for a client (law firm). Though it is not clear from the online specs, this board *does* help dual monitors. (Unless you use pricey "active" adapters, a single of them should be analog and the other need to help a digital DVI connection). I liked that the board has only three audio ports on the back; six ports would have very easily confused my client. No eSATA, no HDMI, no USB3, but if you want those attributes, go acquire a far more expensive board, particularly from Gigabyte and Newegg! Two day shipping (for the price of three day shipping) from Newegg rocks! |

No RMA ;)Straightforward setup Window XP sp1 not compatible I have purchase 6 Gigabyte boards from newegg.No difficulties with any 1 of them so far.Cant speak for the assistance side of gigabyte, simply because i never had to deal with them.......a excellent thing i quessTo set up windows xp you require atleast sp2 to get to boot screen. There appear to be some driver or memory concern if you attempt it with XP sp1. Other than that window 7 and XP sp2 had no concern.....Sp1 = bsod |

bought it as an upgrade for one of my kidspurchased a zotac gt 9500 to go on it but this board has the abilaty to overclock the on chip gpu the i3 performed beter then the zotac on windows expnumerous bios seting was realy impresed with this 1was tempted to replace my biostar th55xe but it had far more attributes still this is quite good worked fantastic no isues not a con but if you wana use a pcie gpu card you require to set the bios to pci not peg or it wont display got it for ๋.00 cant complain :) unless your geting a gts240 or beter use the onchip gpu its incredibly good performer |

1. Paired with Corsair 4gb, i3-540 and 9500GT to make Good inexpensive Hackintosh. OS/X installed with out a lot trouble. Network and Sound took a incredibly short time to solve. 1. I can't get sleep to work in OS/X. Bummer.two. No IDE ports. Didn't recognize it at the time, but all the spare optical drives I have laying around are IDE. Oh well. Overall package is excellent, not much else you need to have. HDMI port is a fantastic feature. Gigabyte tuning system makes a minor speed improve simple and fairly protected. Tiny but not flimsy. With an i3 540 at default speed, it runs Super Pi 1Mb in 13sec, which was insane speed only 2 years ago. As stated by other individuals, onboard graphics are not for really serious gaming. This is the fault of the CPU, not the board. RAM FSB is a little low, but what do you want for 80 bucks? If you want a fantastic little program for your kids, friends, or relatives on a low spending budget, get this and an i3 540 CPU as the foundation. If you discover the graphics inadequate, you can constantly add a graphics card for 75 bucks and 5 minutes. Runs as advertised... at initially. I had this operating with an i3 560, 4GB DDR3 Ram and an nVidia GTX 460 Following about four months usage, it started reboot looping on me. I repartitioned my HDD and it reboot to finalize the adjustments... never happened. It restarted and started looping. It doesn't even reach the BIOS screen and shuts down. Starts up then shuts down after literally 1 second... put this on a neverending loop and you have my problem. I have accomplished no adjustments to my setup except partitioning the HDD so I don't know why it's doing this. It ran wonderfully till now. I've tried disconnecting everything and reconnecting, and now I've nowhere to turn. Hopefully I can get this replaced truly quickly as it's under warranty but now I have practically nothing to do my homework on.. I'm searching forward to resolving this ASAP. I've looked about on forums and quite a few times I see that people say it frequently can be the energy supply not delivering adequate power to the technique. I doubt that's my case as my computer system has ran for virtually 5 months just before crashing on me.
