Lots of characteristics. Appears to be a great value for cost. This is my second board and a comply with up to my 12ቦ񳏊 review. The initial was DOA (well it worked for a couple of hours), the second one operates excellent EXCEPT the floppy controller seems to be negative. This is not a key issure for most of you, but I nonetheless use floppies and I can not get this board to format or reliably create to floppy disks. This problem is OS independent (even when utilizing DOS) regardless of swapping two floppy drives and cables I know to operate. I can Study floppies, but that's it. From my restricted internet search, this could be a BIOS challenge, an AMD chipset challenge, or just a bad floppy controller. I've contacted Gigabyte and am waiting for a response. I hope Gigabyte high quality control is better than what I have knowledgeable not too long ago.

quite strong, high quality, properly produced board with nearly each and every function you could want, and i mean it driver set up is relatively simple but does take forever. i didnt know what to expect when i purchased this for an upgrade, replacing an asus board.the box will impress you, open it up, and youll be even a lot more impressed - i see why this is a customer selection.

Wow six cores compatibly. Fairly great for a dual bios mobo. I could not resist mainly because i am to inexpensive so stuck with my old ram and this why i purchased this mobo. and positive has saved me money. no troubles so far everything runs cool on idle. but heat on cpu is problem but i assume it was terrible thermal paste. Cores run real cool at 25 and 15 C. on idle. What i really like about this board is usb has two time energy. was simple to set up. none

Every little thing on the board has been performing flawlessly. It shipped with bios version F11 (which supports the x6 1090t). The on board audio has excellent sound good quality as effectively. Confirm the default voltage that the motherboard applies to the CPU. The default voltage for the x6 1090t is 1.35 volts, but the bios wanted it set at 1.475 volts. The motherboard requirements heatsinks on the mosfets (by the CPU socket) for overclocking. My x6 1090t processor is set at three.82 ghz with the CPU's voltage is at 1.40 v and it successfully completes AMD's Overdrive test. Prior to performing this, I attached Enzotech's MOS-C10 to the mosfets.

When its operating it is a perfect answer to my htpc make From the get go I was having problems with this board. I purchased it and was not able to use it for a month or so because some private difficulties came up. When I ultimately got about to installing it the problems started.None of the back ports worked...vga,hdmi,mouse,usb you name it.. absolutely nothing would turn on yet the board clearly had power. I replaced the psu which seemed to repair the difficulty. everything was fine.. i installed win7 and began using it. Then it would just turn off or lock up and when i tried to restart the back ports would not perform until immediately after about 20 attempts to turn on and off. I have swapped known good ram, cpu and energy supplies in and out and every thing performs often and often not. I really want a reputable machine but regrettably am previous the solution of exchanging it with newegg.I know this is a fantastic item I just got a undesirable board.. make certain you verify proper away if it operates Manufacturer Response:Dear Buyer,Thank you for your comments. This motherboard's IGP is capable of hybrid crossfiring with some of the newer low finish Radeon cards., I tested with an HD 4550, and it worked perfectly. I've been told that it also works with the low finish DX 10. Radeons (the 2400 Pro and XT) But that the array will then only help up to DX 10., I don't have an HD 2400 so I can't say for certain no matter whether or not this is accurate. As for the rest of the board, I'd say it's excellent for a micro-ATX HTPC. With a great Audio solution onboard, and the three most essential (in my opinion) consumer display outputs, placing a low power Sempron or Athlon II on this board must give you much more than adequate horsepower for 1080 and possibly some post-processing as well. Now, I comprehend I nitpick, but I would have liked to have had some marking of Pin 1 of the LPT pin header on the motherboard itself (I still use such ancient things). For a board like this, I personally would have liked to see a coaxial audio out in addition to optical, but this isn't some thing that is by any implies a deal breaker.

Decent board in particular for it's value. Lots of great characteristics. I personally haven't had any troubles, but I reccomended 1 to a family members member and he RMA'd two of them in a row. So, apparently, decent board if you get the ones that perform =/.

Decent Onboard Video, HDMI, Optical Sound, ACC CORE unlock function in BIOS, Steady, Final of the decent DDR2 boards specifically for HTPC. None. Despite the fact that I just bought 2 of these from the Egg I've been operating these boards in more than 20 builds for buddies and strangers that I purchased elsewhere. Cause I like them is that they are mATX, supply HDMI and playing BluRay motion pictures is flawless. Not to mention the onboard sound that offers 7.1 etc. Paired up with AMD 250 processor these are rock steady and quick even for decent gaming rigs with Radeon 4850's and 5770 video cards thrown in! Each boards from the Egg came with the most current revision and booted up fine! I'm sorely going to miss these boards when they disappear as they've given me problems absolutely free use thus far, the oldest develop has been operating for over a year with energy on 24ǝ in a dusty atmosphere. Gotta like it!

Wonderful board, I got mine inexpensive with a Athlon X2 5000+ (AM3) for about ๠ total much less than a year ago through a shell shocker deal I consider. Just upgraded to a Phenom II X6 1100T nowadays, didn't have to deal with upgrading my ram or all my other elements. Note: 1100T is not officially supported, but I dropped it in and it recognized it and booted instantly on the F12A firmware. None that I know of

Wonderful mobo; working with for HTPC; unlocked AMD; setup couldn't have been less complicated. On board video is OK - naturally, if you require more graphics horsepower then a video card addition is probably the way to go.

What a bargain. I had an Athlon 3800+ X2 and 1 GB DDR2 533 given to me by a buddy and decided to use this board to upgrade an old P4 method.Benchmarks are great for the hardware with the AMD 785G chipset. Lots of choices for overclocking if I decide to get a critical cooler and RAM. Even though the onboard Radeon HD4200 gets regularly slugged by reviewers expecting it to run Crysis, it's Far more than sufficient for far more dated and lightweight 3D games, such as what was on my P4.It clearly outperforms my P4 with an FX 5900 AGP in FPS and load times for practically any game I've compared. Far Cry, Urban Terror, the older Battlefield games, and Command and Conquer Generals run much better and at highest detail on 1024x768, 60-80 FPS. It's not a replacement for a good PCI Express card, but that's not undesirable at all!Streaming web video is clean and smooth even on incredibly higher resolution settings. Gigabyte's software program utilities for the board are outstanding and the BIOS has everything you n Windows XP users need to have to make sure they set up Service Pack two or 3 ahead of running the driver installation on the disc supplied by Gigabyte. Although Gigabyte does have a slick multi-installer that rolls Windows Installer 3.1, .NET three.five and various of the necessary chipset drivers on all at when, it's not aware sufficient to alert you that you require SP2/SP3 for .NET three.5 and what occurs is that it botches the set up of .NET and many of the device drivers for the motherboard. The result is that you have to go back and manually uninstall numerous drivers and .NET, which is a pain mainly because the installer doesn't generate an uninstaller in Add/Remove programs. You have to go to the individual function set up on the CD to do it. Following SP2/SP3 is applied, the auto set up operates excellent.I'll admit that may well have been in the printed manual, but many installers of that variety verify for prerequisites and notify the user of any that are missing. Exceptional features. Really flexible board that could be portion of practically any form of significant residence personal computer create: Each onboard IDE and SATA, as nicely as floppy for great backwards compatibility. Accepts AM2 CPUs all the way up to AM3 hexacore Phenoms, as properly as DDR-2, from 400 MHz all the way up to 1200 O/C. VGA, DVI and HDMI. PCI, PCI express, as nicely as headers for RS-232 and parallel.Firewire and eSATA on the back for mass storage and media devices.3-year warranty. This is a fantastic, economical entry level board for somebody maybe stepping up from an early Pentium 4 or older Athlon setup. Retain your IDE drives, keep your DDR2 (if you have it) and purchase a couple of inexpensive adapters for your energy provide. Beyond that, an ๠ motherboard and a ุ CPU and you have a platform you can really develop on that will accept some actually very good modern hardware whilst letting you get some additional life out of your old hardware. And it will run your old games lots effectively.

Appears nice. Cost was fantastic. Initially purchased as a present for a person, but they changed their thoughts, so I kept it for myself since I liked the advertised attributes of the board. Doesn't function. Fans come on but Bios won't boot. Monitor doesn't obtain signal. Tried the VGA and DVI Ports with no results. Added a video card with identical benefits. Really hard to total the project when the Mother board doesn't function.

CPU Compatibility (works with the new 6 cores also) Still make use of your old ddr2Integrated graphics can handle 1080p (although I use a gt220) Digital audio outIt's a great HTPC board, but can also handle getting a difficult little gaming rig. If utilizing a extended graphics card some sata ports will be blocked. Mine started off as a HTPC, then got promoted to temp gaming rig while I awaited new hardware. It did a great job operating a AMD X6 1090tʄ.00Ghz - 8GB of ddr2 1066 - GTX470.... but is now back to becoming a simple HTPC with an old AMD 5000+ʃ.00Ghz - 2GB ddr2 800 - gt220I received v3.3 which is the newest.I consider the image shown is of v1.. The only distinction appears to be updated USB to superior deal with charging gadgets and much better colour scheme.(no red, yellow)

Works great. Appears like a good strong platform. Running Windows 7 64 bit and unlocked the 4th core of my Phenom II X3 740. Disable the floppy drive or Windows 7 will take forever to load. Requires a little bit of trial and error to get the bios settings suitable for Windows 7 to run snappy. Don't use the on board video or your graphics will be a bit sluggish and Windows 7 won't be as snappy. Once I disabled it and installed my ATI HD2600 the sluggishness went away.

Bought this board right here. Enjoy the reality that I can use quite considerably any AMD processor made. Have an x4 9750 in this puppy appropriate now. Soon upgrading to an x6. Awesome for a microatx to have four spots for ram. Upgradeable to GB. None. First one particular had a blown video card, wouldn't do anything other than turn on. No screen, HDD wouldn't boot.. Sent it in for an RMA and got a new a single in return.
