Its a good board with alots of characteristics, Strong board as you would anticipate from Gigabyte. Didn't post the initial time, had to mess around with it for at least three hours. I had my memory in slots 2, 4, and six, so I decided to modify the memory slots so I utilised 1,three, and 5 and all of the sudden it posts. Very probably the problem was with one particular of the memory slots. I will not be adding a lot more memory so I can reside with one terrible memory slot. I just didn't want to go by way of the complete hassle of taking everything apart and sending the mobo back. One more problem with this board is the BIOS, at present its at F2. They require to update the BIOS quickly due to the fact its causing all sorts of challenges when attempting to OC.

Excellent brd for the income. Lots of characteristics. You hardly have to look at the path. I don't typically rate things, but was upset by the ethernet driver.The drivers on the cd bad . If possible download from the Gigabyte web site ahead of booting, The ethernet driver doesn't operate so you are dead in the water for updating drivers. Also, the audio driver is not good either. If you want to do sli/crossfire, the second pci-x16 slot would be tight for a massive video card. Also, I would have liked far more fan connections.

bought as part of a new i7-950 create. Appropriate out of the box it worked fine. I haven't tweaked it at all, just build the rig and off she went. I had some problems w/ a previous giga mobo (x35), but it wasn't something I truly cared about, and this one has no issues at all. Would purchase once more... remember anything w/ the wiring up of the audio connector, but whatever it was, wasn't that severe, just a hassle...resolved and it works great...

Board appeared to operate fine. Board appeared fine, and I utilized it for a day or two with my new i7 build. But after I actually sat down and tried to hook up my headphones it started acting crazy. Auto detecting jacks getting plugged in and removed for no explanation, thinking that I had a headphone and mic plugged into the front ports (even though I didn't even hook up the HD audio from my case for the front ports). Just wasnt receiving any sound. I spent aprox. six hours messing with every single attainable setting/driver/device manager ect,... and even went so far as to reinstall win7 on a spare hd to see if that was the case. Still got the exact same behavior, and no soundEven though performing some research I found out that this is not an isolated incident with this board, there are other individuals who have had related audio problems, such as some reviews currently posted for this board. After the time I spent troubleshooting I dont feel I am bothering with a replacement, just going to get a refund. Just glad newegg has far far better client service than most suppliers. I have Gigabyte video cards, and gigabyte is typically known for excellent stuff so maybe i just got a undesirable one, but it's nonetheless exceptionally frustrating to devote a bunch of time on a make, then troubleshooting, only to have to take it apart and get another board to do it over. The board setup looked really nice. I had to do an RMA for a DOA board three times and at some point just got an Asus Sabertooth instead. Installed easily and the guidelines are straightforward to stick to. The added BIOS software is also simple to use and incorporates various capabilities. Mine arrived with a defective audio "box". Not specifically confident what is wrong but I suspect there is some bad solder or connections as I've attempted 3 diverse sets of speakers and the device "Connected" and then "Disconnected" notice in Windows just goes haywire... it apparently thinks that I am plugging in and unplugging the speakers at about 20x/sec. This would surely get an additional "egg" or two if the RMA replacement works and I get to use my new box quickly.

None Because of this board, my new create Computer had to boot twice to get into windows. I although it was PSU challenge or Memory issue. But immediately after I attempted replace every single module, I lastly figured out it was the motherboard issue. And now, immediately after I used this motherboard for 3 months, and the make in audio card is down without having a cause.

Quite nice function set, wonderful hunting board. I paired this up with a DF-30 Antec case. I'm running this (well, now the UDR3 given that I created an epic setup error) board with an i7 920, working with a Revo Drive as the major boot. Rapidly!@! Don't bend your pins.....!!!!! Not really a con. Just be aware. Gigabyte goods are great. BE Careful@@@!!! The LGA1366 pins are ON the board socket (which is why it is covered).... I had a bent pin on the initially board I ordered, paniced... attempted to fix it, b/c 99% of retailers will not take back or exchange a board... and it VOIDS the mfg warranty. I ended up screwing it up worse... Now I've got a ruined board that I'm considering framing and hanging as proof of my stellar incompetence. It's bound to occur now and then to a person..... DON'T LET IT BE YOU, BE Cautious!!!.. Later I picked up a UDR3 at a nearby shop. Which is an great board... like this one particular, but with a couple of additional attributes.

Fantastic value point, exceptional layout, Gigabyte quality. Very good caps, dual bios, 2oz copper, lots of usb, no IDE or floppy connections ; ) Actually the only factor you can choose on with this board is the lack of Sata 6Gbs, but I have yet to see something use that bandwidth. Its not a 12 phase energy, but I assume these ridiculous overkill. This is a good board receiving you into higher overall performance with i7. I had zero troubles functioning with the board and setting up. In reality it was one of my fastests builds to date. I"m running a i7 950 with a H50 water cooling setup. My temps idle at 41, I have seen them get up to 60 but haven't totally attempted to burn it yet.

Utilized this board for my very first develop and worked completely. Fits into ATX case with no dilemma, lots of PCI selections as well as SATA interface. lots of USB as nicely as USB 3. which will be good for future things. Core slot has a lid that wasn't made for i7 cores, it's a bit of a tight match but it worked, with a tiny force. Also no q connector for the front pannel connectors so that made it a bit hard to get tiny connectors in the mobo. These are small things, i nevertheless give it five stars. Got this less costly here at new egg than when I did at a retailer! 100 dollars less costly here. Runs fantastic, no problems with this board. 1 I purchased in individual came DOA. I put the RAM in the incorrect slots at initial, initially build mistake. But the board is running fantastic so far, hope to expand on it soon.

None Could not get this motherboard to function. Apparently putting in the cpu the right way and making confident anything this is set nonetheless enables for the mobo to get fried. Sent the mobo into newegg and was told that Motherboard was received with apparent finish-user caused physical harm to CPU socket speak to pins.Various CPU pins have been burnt. Functioning in tech help and obtaining installed fairly a couple of new mobos, I know that it is extremely challenging to screw up putting the cpu correctly into the slots. USB three.,the general layout of this motherboard is really carried out nice.BIOS was decent.Nothing to confuse a newbie or a person who knows what they are executing.Packaging was nice.I constantly believed that the all round color scheme and look of Gigabyte motherboards was adequately accomplished. I have not had any pieces break,chip or bend on my 2 boards.I have also performed three other builds with Gigabyte motherboards and no concerns.Price was also correct for the features. I have not had any difficulties so far other than not sufficient 3 pin fan headers but who will gripe about anything incredibly miniscule like that I am certain if I dig via my boxes of cables and screws,I will locate an adapter. I normally update a evaluation if a significant challenge presents itself. This motherboard replaced an ASUS P6T6 WS Revolution that was plagued with problems and continuous RMA's.I have not ran into any troubles with Gigabyte,of course one day possibly but for now they are batting 1.000 and I suggest this board to anyone seeking do go 1366(i-7). I am working with this in my HTPC.Yes a little excessive for a HTPC but I got the i-7 950 processor for cheap so I could not pass the chance up.So far...nicely pleased.

I applied the board along with i7 XE three.6Gz Ɩ-core). It performs at the initial energy on. The setup is uncomplicated. I have however to attempt out OC capability. Realtek HD audio keeps popping up audio device unlugged message. It is seriously annoying and I have to disable the message. 1. The front panel connector on the board is a little as well far and I have to really stretch the connector in the case to connect to it.2. SATA connectors face to the side, which are incredibly close to the hard drive bay. They are not uncomplicated to access buit it is not a massive deal.

This motherboard, with no a doubt, is the ideal board I have ever owned. I paired it with a i7 930 and 6gb or corsair ram and finally a GTX460.I found the number of sata ports to be just the ticket.USB three3 X energy more than UBS to charge an iPad or a high amperage device. It will also charge an Android phone a lot quicker than a normal USB port. None yet. Every little thing functions as it must. I plan on shopping for a different 1 for a VM server with 12gb ram

Initial i like that it takes 24GB ram total, and 8GB just install running windows 7 and i7 960 at eight cores. I do lot of video editing and this encode decode took me 15 minutes as an alternative of 4 hours on old Pc's and USB 3. stunning transfer rate. I use to go with ASUS but generally had problem right after 1 year something has to go wrong and its often due to bios but Gigabyte i have yet another a single also the ep45-ud3p for quad core which is nonetheless running smooth without having any difficulties. cool thing is it has dual bios which is sweet mainly because your personal computer never ever crash it recovers corrupted bios. I will only buy from Gigabytes since it has Japanese capacitor and two-oz maintaining board stable and cooled. wish if they created motherboard mac compatible so just set up mac CD and completed. I can still install it but have to use diverse way to do it.
