Cons: M.2, SATA Express, and SATA3 4/5 connectors can only be used one at a time. The SATA3 4/5 connectors will become unavailable when an M.2 SSD is installed

Pros: Great Layout, Pretty good quality, works fine, Inexpensive
Comment:
I installed M.2 SSD right away after I bought it. Thought I could save extra SATA connector, and in that case I lost two. Spent couple hours checking my hard drives and sata cables, and the end got this.

Cons: Smaller than standard ATXTerrible audio interference on rear audio output

Pros: InexpensiveOverclockableSLI compatible
Comment:
I bought this motherboard after upgrading from an ITX build. After building I had no issues installing windows, installing drivers and updating the BIOS.however, whenever my GPU (GTX 980 reference) is under load I get huge amounts of audio interference in my headphones which are plugged into the green audio jack on the back of the motherboard. The interference gets louder and quieter when the GPU load changes. There is no coil whine from the GPU and I have never had any issues with my GA-Z87N-SLI while using my GTX 980, so it is definitely an issue with the motherboard.I'm very disappointed about the amount of audio interference especially on a motherboard which is advertised as having low audio interference.

Cons: Choppy frame rate in UEFI BIOS

Pros: Z97Great sound card for a motherboard (Realtek ALC1150)Great layout supporting both SLI and SATA Express
Comment:
First Gigabyte motherboard so we'll see how it holds up although I've never had a problem with other products from Gigabyte in the past. I prefer the UEFI BIOS on my older MSI motherboard but it's not the end of the world.

Cons: -Brown PCB! EW!-Red heatsinks MIXED with brown PCB! Double EW!-Not full ATX

Pros: -Nice UEFI-VERY nice onboard audio-Decent looking-Supports SLI-Z97-Not ASUS-Sata Express
Comment:
This board is very good for the money and I am very satisfied with it considering the build was in a windowless case. The Root beer PCB and red accents really are a no-go in my opinion and the fact that it isn't really ATX (it's narrower and dosent have holes for the most leftwards screws) would make me hesitate to order this to be shown off in a windowed case. The UEFI on this is good and I really like the fact that there is a legacy UEFI, "Advanced" UEFI and basic UEFI. I found myself using the "advanced" one and was happy that all features were consistent between classic and advanced. This board also has some weird legacy ports on it (probably because of the asmedia controller onboard). This board has good fan controls (thie system I built w it is genuinely inaudible at idle and makes a whisper at full load) and the software that comes with it isn't as bloated as the one I got with my ASUS. I used an i5-4590 with this so never got to try out overclocking.tl;dr Nice board while not the best looking (better than gold i guess). I'd step up to the Gaming 3 or 5 if my build had a windowed side panel. Nice that it supports SLI.

Cons: - BIOS has a few visual glitches, can be difficult to navigate- No optical audio out

Pros: + Pretty good documentation+ Drivers easy to find on Gigabyte's website+ Board is well laid out, easy to set up everything+ Easy to overclock my i5-4690K
Comment:
The motherboard is narrower than standard ATX boards... it will still fit in any case that supports ATX motherboards, this just isn't as wide and thus doesn't have the right-most 3 standoff holes that most ATX boards have.It would be nice if the labels on it were a darker shade of grey, or perhaps red... it doesn't look so hot in my case window with all the white writing on it... but on one of the most affordable Z97 motherboards that is pretty full-featured (SLI, decent overclocking, etc.) I'm not gonna complain over it.
