Snaps in, functions as it need to. only Draw back is it's a little really hard to unclip.... there's a little metal plate you have to press quite really hard to pull out... May well just be my large clumsy fingers. Functions well in my antec 900 case. plently of attain.

Rated for SATA3. Black. Excellent latches. Transfer info from the motherboard to my tough drives. They aren't attached to a better computer. ten" isn't as extended as I believed it would be. (That's what she said)

Quick cables don't clutter up your case like overly long stock cables. Black blends in nicely with the silver and dark case interior. Showed up with packaging that indicates SATA3 ƖGb/Sec). Look to be loose. Locking clips are too major for some connectors. I plugged one into the side facing, edge mounted connectors on an ASUS P6T-SE and it seemed really snug, then I saw it cracked the leading of connector housing. I was in a position to get rid of the locking tab easily adequate and didn't feel about it once more. The normal ports utilized for SATA5/SATA6 on my board seemed to accept the locking connector fine. Recently I was trying out yet another drive in my machine and my optical drive wasn't recognized in the BIOS, wouldn't boot. Located the cable at fault. Examined a stock cable and noticed the gap inside where the contacts are is wider on these cables than these laying on my perform bench. Not only was the space wider, the contacts seemed more flush and less sprung out. I purchased some 10" SATA cables two-3 years ago from Newegg/OKGEAR and haven't noticed a challenge in that build. Wanted to clean up my new make a bit and I feel now I'll have to uncover a replacement mainly because I don't feel I can trust these cables. At the identical time I ordered the ones with right angle plugs on a single finish and they appear to have the exact same problems listed in "cons."

Locks in solid, short length is best. It replaced a a lot longer cable supplied with my case that kept receiving in the way. none Just make positive that you know how long you in fact want. This was the best length for my technique but could be as well brief for other folks.

I purchased these mainly because the distance to two of my four difficult drives to the mobo's connectors was beneath seven inches, and I didn't want to start out to clutter up my otherwise pretty neatly arranged technique. These cables perform perfectly for the job. Latches are incredibly secure, yet not challenging to connect & disconnect. I've had them for far more than the 3 month mark that other reviewers seemed to have trouble with, and I haven't had any difficulties with mine at all. I haven't seasoned any. Oh, I know, each solution has some con, suitable? Okay... The massive con for this solution was that it wasn't cost-free! Properly, c'mon, really! I highly propose these cables if you just have a brief distance to bridge and do not need to have a lot length to do so.I believe other reviewers shouldn't let a poor knowledge with a product that may well have slipped by means of QC lead to a product to get seriously low marks if NewEgg and/or the manufacturer remedy the issue. My expectations for this product exactly where that it would do the job, and wouldn't be low quality due to its low value. This product surpassed my expectations, and could have commanded a greater price tag. Glad it was priced suitable although.

perfect they match far better than the cables that came with my mobo. the 10 inch is perfect for me, much less cables in the situation they dont genuinely lock in, but they fit snug the stock cables had been falling out and causing undesirable dvd burns and tough drive studdering.

I purchased this one and the 18inch model. The ten" run perfectly to my HDD's and the 18" run perfectly to my DVD Burner The connection may be as well secure, I virtually feel the connector on my MOBO will rip off just before this connector gives up.
