Lame if you ask me but i did have a comparable challenge with an Asus P5N32-E Sli board so no huge deal the problems with electrical components grrrr oh nicely I have to wait for rma to send me a replacement. So for now I give it 1 eggy but not for negative performance but for now being able to fully test it and get pleasure from it. So preserve checking i will adhere to up when i get a new board. This board has everything you want except a Television tuner to make a fantastic little HTPC. The HDMI carries audio perfectly, and the on-board GPU is capable of handling HD video without having any efficiency difficulties.Making use of with the following:C2D E72002GB DDR2 800WinTV HVR-1250OCZ ModXTreme 500 modular PSULite-On Blu-Ray drive1TB Hitachi 7200 RPM three.5" HDLian-Li Computer-Q07 CaseWindows 7 Household Premium The GPU runs massively hot - mine idles at 72 C, and went up to 87 C soon after watching a 1080i recorded Television show -- I don't even want to know how hot it would get if I attempted to play games on it. I don't assume my cooling is a dilemma; even though I am employing a tiny case (Lian-Li Computer-೫), I have the power supply's enormous fan moving air more than virtually the complete motherboard. For comparison, my CPU appears to be idling around 33 C - 40 C. I may attempt adding a small fan to the chipset heatsink, but I seriously don't want to increase the noise level if I can enable it. I didn't install the WiFi module, as the case has enough wired crammed into it currently.Verify which PCB you get prior to you set up the board - you will need it to decide which BIOS update to use, and it can be a pain to figure it out when the board is installed and the case is closed up. I feel its printed on the board along the memory slots.

The nature of the case necessary a Dynatron server CPU cooler, but it does the trick without receiving too loud. Windows 7 had all the drivers except the chipset and the wireless (which were accessible from Zotac's internet site). Temperatures on the GPU preserve getting higher although playing blurays, could have to invest in an active cooling strategy. All round a great board.

Little type issue, packs a lot of punch for it's size. Good overclocking, tweaking BIOS Wireless DOES NOT work. Zotac is horrendous to deal with. DO NOT Get THIS BOARD. If you have to, buy the non-wireless board for cheaper. NOT WORTH THE 贬... It wouldn't be so poor if the prospective of this board wasn't so high. With suitable help, up-to-date functioning drivers, and a wireless module that worked, this board would be great and exactly what I wanted. Nevertheless, I believe I paid TWICE Too Considerably for what it presently is...

This board has fantastic flexibility with all the a variety of ports, and the onboard video is gorgeous on my 32 inch Television. Haven't tried to do something more intensive than watching DVD's, however... The GPU indicates a temperature of virtually 80C. I comprehend this is fairly high, given that it is reporting this temperature from standstill, not soon after gaming. Getting study the other testimonials on this page, I'm going to try to greater secure the heatsink, but I'm loathe to take the machine apart once more. Mini ITX isn't entertaining to assemble in the initially location. I realize I could just put a discrete card in, but I thought the point of outstanding onboard graphics was that I wouldn't need to place in a discrete card. Also, the WIFI module is useless. I don't suggest selecting this board more than an additional for it. The four eggs are for the prospective of the board, the ding was for me worrying it's going to melt by way of the case and the hassle of trying to repair that.Technique setup is:This board / Rosewill mini ITX case / Core2 E7500 / Stock cooler w/arctic 5 / Hitachi 500gb / Plextor burnerEverything reads 30-40C when the GPU is 80C.

excellent specs for current generation mini-itx board I had a lot of challenges until I found stock cooler pushing against northbridge heatsink. Half of the feasible orientations of the stock heatsink press on the northbridge heatsink which explains the percentage of poor ratings on this board. The manual isn't extremely valuable. You'll be far better off using Google for any concerns you have during installation.AMD's new platform is coming quickly which will have superior integrated graphics.

Good motherboard. Operates as expected with no problems. This is my second Zotac motherboard and I have been quite pleased with both of them. It took 3 tries to get 1 that was not broken in shipping. Vibration had triggered the chip heatsink to break loose and knock the crystal off the board. I don't think the shipper was to blame as the boxes had been in perfect situation. Perhaps Zotac desires to safe the heatsink much better. In any event, Newegg handled the RMA's quite rapidly and efficiently. Excellent RMA procedure on Newegg's element. Not certain why the harm occurred as the chip heatsink is not that heavy. Just terrible luck I guess. Anyway, it performs fine now.

Fully featured ITX board that can socket a quad core if you need to have it. Low energy usage at wall from the board itself. Integrated nVidia 9300 operates flawlessly with five.1 audio and video over HDMI. Dual channel memory, three SATA ports, and solidly constructed. Northbridge (which homes the 9300) runs a little warm, but not a problem passively cooled in a Silverstone Sugo 05 (with the fan not running). Just make certain when you're handling the board and running cables that the somewhat flimsy heatsink unit on the Northbridge is not becoming pushed on by cables or turn out to be unbalanced. Has been running steady in 24ǝ operation because I bought it. Couldn't ask for much more for the characteristics.

Little kind aspect. Superb capabilities for an htpc. Wake from S3 does perform. I am in a position to wake with my Gyration remote and keyboard as effectively as my Logitech Dinovo Edge keyboard which utilizes a proprietary bluetooth dongle. Won't wake with a generic bluetooth dongle and my wacom bluetooth tablet, but I assume that has to do with the bluetooth dongle and not the board. Alas, I can't use S3 since of the fan issue (see cons). I don't have any heat troubles (gpu stays around 50c and cpu 35-40c). I have the board in an Apex MI-008 case with a 120mm case fan, 4GB pny ram, stock psu and wd black 640GB hdd running windows 7 64 bit rtm, no dvd/cd drive. I don't have any heat concerns (gpu stays around 50c and cpu 35-40c). I have the board in an Apex MI-008 case with a 120mm case fan, 4GB pny ram, stock psu and wd black 640GB hdd operating windows 7 64 bit rtm, no dvd/cd drive. I would have provided 5 eggs if not for the cpu fan challenge. The cpu fan is underpowered immediately after waking from S3, regardless of bios setting, so a lot so that some fans won't even come on. Even if the fan comes on it is at a incredibly low setting that may well not be adequate. If you use a PWM fan you'll want to verify you technique temp and make confident that it is running cool enough right after S3. Most probably with a 4 pin cpu fan S3 is out of the query. Zotac is conscious of this difficulty and they say they are functioning on a bios update to fix it. Thre are perform-arounds. For me, correct now I'm just not utilizing S3. Also smartfan setting in bios doesn't do anythig (fan stays at prior setting soon after turning smartfan on). I have the GF9300-G-E rev 04. My cpu fan is the Silverstone NT07 775. Various people have reported that the SS NT07 will not come back on after waking from S3 with this board. Fans that have been reported to come back on are the stock intel fan and the Zerotherm Atom, which is stated to fit the rev 04 version superior than it did earlier versions. One particular person reported removing the pwm wire on their NT07 then it will start out up immediately after resuming from S3, but it will run full bore 񢈊 rpms) which could be too loud (I know it is for me) and also could wear the fan out mainly because it isn't meant to run that rapid. For the discussion that this info came from google the AVS forum and come across the gf9300-d-e thread. Also, all reports so far indicate that the rev 04 board is what individuals are receiving which has a spdif header on board.

Typically performs as advertised. A excellent platform for folks who want a smaller media Computer operating Windows 7 but need to have more energy than a thing like an Atom-based solution. There is WAY also much thermal grease caked onto the GPU/northbridge!!! Out of the box, I was receiving GPU temps as higher as 80 C. So I took off the integrated heatsink, cleaned off all of the grease with alcohol, and replaced it with a thin layer of Arctic Silver 3 I had laying around from earlier builds. Now my GPU temps max out about 65 C when pushed hard, a significant improvement! I wonder if this is why so quite a few men and women are experiencing latent board failures? The wifi module spontaneously disconnects whenever I begin a Netflix streaming movie, which is a genuine disappointment because I constructed this machine to be a media Computer. Going wired for now. Check THE THERMAL GREASE. Clean it and replace it with your own. Much better but, take the push-pins off of the integrated heatsink and replace them with real nuts/bolts/washers for added reliability. The on board graphics are fine for lighter gaming which serves my purposes just fine, but if you like to ramp up the detail, invest in a genuine graphics card.

Had read all the testimonials about the rebate troubles but bought it anyway simply because it seems other than the rebate and DOA difficulties it sounded to be a very good motherboard. So far it's been operating fantastic for me, so fantastic that I would like to buy yet another but I won't until Zotac sends me the rebate for this one particular. The way I figure it is if Zotac is prepared to shed a satisfied client more than a ฤ rebate then so be it, I'll just acquire from a different manufacturer.

Named back and a person took my name and telephone number and stated that I would receive a call either right now or tomorrow. Not holding my breath.Buyer service is outsourced. Get the board if fits your requirements, it is a good solution and does match a niche. Just don't factor the rebate into your final expense, it's only been two months for me but I have read some pretty bad items about Zotac rebates. The motherboard has a lot to supply in such a compact package. See 'Cons' as to why I can't list anything else. The a single I ordered came defective and I have been dealing with Zotac for ****ƪ MONTHS***** attempting to get it replaced. The firm is HORRIBLE to deal with in each and every respect. If you get a working motherboard shipped, hope you under no circumstances have to deal with any person in their firm. They've lost my paperwork, no one calls back (if you can get in touch in the very first location), processing something takes a minimum of 30 days. Purchaser BEWARE! On paper the board looks excellent. Permits you to use a 775 processor in an itx enclosure. On paper it is the best design for HTPC applications when you want much more punch than an Atom processor. The board does not enable for smartfan manage and s3 suspend to be applied in conjunction. If the program goes to standby then the fans will be undervolted upon resume ans at times will not spin up. Couple that with a sub-par northbridge cooler (could you at least have incorporated copper and some heat pipes) and you will run into extreme complications attempting to use this board in a low noise HTPC application. I attempted everything, from deciding upon the processor with the lowest thermal signature, to drilling a port for an additional case fan, to updating the Bios, to using high top quality thermal paste, disabling s3 suspend. Absolutely nothing resulted in a stable method temperature over time. I am going to keep away from this manufacturer's merchandise from now on. I have spent weeks attempting to get this method to work with no luck. I applied a Lian Li itx case. It is huge and must have outstanding airflow compared to other ITX cases, specifically with my modded intake fan on the front of the case.Thankfully I have returned the board for a refund. Out of the 100's of computers I have built and the 1000s far more I have serviced, this 1 board is my all-time least preferred.

Tiny. Fantastic idea for HTPC. Just about any connectionyou can think of which includes PCIE x16 expansion. 1st board had to be RMA. Would not pass BIOS Verify Sum. (Quick replacement from Newegg) 2nd board worked for 1 month until CPU began going to one hundred% on boot till Windows 7 entirely stopped responding. Event viewer showed problem loading network services. I disabled on board ethernet in BIOS (turn off LAN MAC address) the issue was solved. I was employing WIFI so it was not a bid deal. This Mobo is brilliant. Correct HD video out through onboard HDMI operates perfectly. No need for a pci GPU. Dolby digital up to 7.1 out sounds amazing. I put this into an HTPC create for my household theater such as an Optoma HD65 with 92" screen, Yamaha A/v receiver and 6.1 Klipcsh surround sound and this tiny Mobo sends the A/v program totally great picture and sound high quality with out any glitch or lag! I've put a Celeron E3200 Duel core two.4 CPU and only 2 gig memory stick on this board and it run fantastic. Even plays WoW on med-high settings just fine. No added GPU required. Plays BlueRay HD motion pictures completely. If you can't get this on sale, its a small pricey. If you can't get this on sale, there are other Mobo's that are a lot cheaper but are not mini/itx size.

Within a week the board would fail to POST, hanging on "Verifying DMI Pool Data" message...there is a BIOS update to fix this problem, which doesn't do you a entire lot of very good when you can't even boot to any devices. Incredibly lame. Returned it and going to give Zotac one more shot at redemption with the subsequent revision which they've already announced, due to the fact there aren't a lot of options.
