Cons: - None

Pros: + Inexpensive+ Gigabit Link+ Plug and Play
Comment:
Bought this switch to expand the network in our simple TV room. Connected Telus Optik, Sony Blu-Ray player and Wii with no hassles. Our home has CAT5e throughout. Please note that I received V2 of this switch from NCIX Burnaby so it's all white. I'm not too sure what else is different (specs, firmware, etc.) from V1 which is what is shown in the above product picture.

Cons: -VIP only for 1st port-big box package for a small switch-manual is a joke

Pros: -Gigabit Link-plug and play
Comment:
Just need a switch to extend my wired network for the extension to the renovated basement, quick and easy to setup as it is a unmanaged switch and works right away with auto-detection of the Cat6 cable. It is connected to a configured managed switch so no additional work is need to better secure the additional network as a separate and a private vlan. Only concern i have is why such a big box is need to package a small switch and the manual is a joke (literally, take a look at it and you'll be laughing)

Comment:
Got it to extend my wired network to the living room (wireless is just not reliable or fast enough for my file transfer needs). Connected to a D-Link DIR-825, and after upgrading to CAT-5e cabling (100-ft cable), it auto negotiates 1Gbps and transfer speeds are upwards of 800Mbps (limited by disk read/write speeds, so actual xfer speed could be line rate for all I know). Very happy with this unit.
