Low value. That's about the only excellent thing I can say about this MB. The beeps are really annoying. They are not the common beeps, so you can't figure out what's incorrect. The documentation doesn't aid either. My Computer keeps stalling for no great purpose. I'm running almost everything stock, no overclocking. I've had various motherboards in the past and this 1 is just appalling.I've had MSI items ahead of and in no way had troubles. So I can't criticize all MSI merchandise, but I certainly wouldn't recommend this one. I'll update this as I hear far more from MSI. Military class elements. 3 year warranty. USB three. and SATA six capable. The manual is decent -- the English portion is 32 pages long. Connectors and pin-outs are clearly labeled on the board and extremely clearly explained and illustrated in the manual. It installed effortlessly and POSTed with out problems. Coupled with the i5-2500K Sandy Bridge CPU it tends to make for a smokin' quickly method. There is small detail on the included utilities, so you pretty a lot have to set up them to see if they're helpful. The double stack SATA connectors aren't labeled as to which connector is on top rated and bottom (e.g., SATA1 and SATA2). The reduce numbered connectors are on the bottom, i.e., SATA1 is below SATA2. I utilized the Kingston memory that is on MSI's approved vendor list. The beeping in the course of boot is not addressed in the manual. The board beeps when for every single USB device detected and once for a effective POST. If this board has the function set you're looking for, I believe you'll be pleased with it. With the most up-to-date USB and SATA technology, it must have some longevity.Apevia X-Qpack2 caseMSI H67MA-E35 (B3) MoBoIntel i5-2500K Sandy BridgeKingston KVR1333D3N9K2 8 GBMSI N450GTS/OC VideoSamsung HD1035J 1 TBSamsung SH-S223L BurnerCorsair HX-650 PSWindows 7 Pro 64

Worked like a champ out of the box... No beeps, No challenges. Paired it with a i5 2500 cpu and a MSI 1gb 460GTX (Cyclone)... With all the video I can turn on set at 3840X1200 (triple monitor) I'm running 250fps in rfactor. haven't even thought about more than clocking. Not very expandable. No more ram slotsno 2nd video card Sandy Bridge rules

Right after post it appears to be operating fine. Lots of beeps at post with no documentation in manual or site with regards to how to repair this. Shows error codes but once again, no documentation. I attempted swapping all hardware in and out of the mobo with no luck. I attempted registering on the MSI web page and asking them but have had no reply. Correct now I have a post on the eggxpert site about this challenge and it appears that several other individuals are getting the similar problem with this board. My tips is to stay away. This mobo cost me far more than it ought to since I went out and bought added parts to solve this situation and it was the mobo itself that was the dilemma. Uncomplicated to install with a lot of connection headers for whatever you want to connect. Rear USB three. ports. Many internal USB 2. headers. 2 system fan headers, and 6 SATA ports with 2 making use of SATA 3 interfaces. You get all the connectivity of its massive brothers in a compact construct for tiny situations and HTPCs.Also the on-board sound quality is surprisingly rich. No UEFI. No internal USB three. header (though no micro-atx mobos have this yet afaik). Also, it emits numerous extremely loud beeps on start off up, but this is apparently standard. Absolutely nothing worth take an egg away for. I've owned three MSI boards to date and been very pleased with all of them. I'm particular this won't be my final!

UEFI + SSD makes for a quite quickly cold boot. Solid board for the cost. Onboard motherboard mic tends to make a screeching noise after boot. Goes away following a awhile.DVI port only supports DVI-D, the four pins that surround the flat pin is not present. Wish the SATA ports exactly where 90 degrees.

Pros? go look at the spec list. Rapid speed, quick overclocking, quick physical installation. None so far but only had for two days. does the recall concern with 1155 intel chips impact this board?

compact micro atx format, has DVI VGA and HDMI video ports (I am working with each HDMI to a Tv and the DVI to a monitor, both function fine below Windows 7), has two SATA cables included, cost-effective, makes use of the on chip video capabilities of the Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs. All H67 boards do not more than clock additional than about .four Ghz from your CPU's base speed, but that was fine for my application. I place this in a low end Silverstone HTPC situation for a highly effective media server and to run Reaper and Ableton Live. Running a stock Intel I5 2500K CPU at its native three.3ghz speed. Operating a FM8 or Massive intrument only uses about 3% of this quad core CPU, vs. about 10% for my old dual core CPU. Utilizing the on chip Intel video skills and HD MKV motion pictures play via the HDMI connector just fine with Boxee. Reccommended.

Effortless Setup, posted the initial time. While I don't use the USB three. ports but, it's nice to have for future use. This board is incredibly stable, even with a tiny OC'ing ~ mostly on the GPU side of points. Though i *do* like all the utilities to tweak, update and enchance points there are a few that just feel like bloatware. Great MB although. The bleeping beeps...I get five fast beeps and 1 post beep. Apparently, it's b/c I have five issues plugged into the USB ports. Following taking the complete develop apart, testing, and rebuilding, I get the identical results. At initially it drove me crazy, but now I just ignore it...It's never crashed or froze and is stable running WIN 7 64Bit. Just wish you could turn off those beeps. Manual is useless. Also, I don't know if the THX utility that you download truly makes any distinction. I couldn't actually tell considering that my HDMI goes straight to my receiver. I also had to muck with the fan settings in the bios, before and right after the update. It appears that mine was set to have all fans at full throttle all the time. So loud. I utilised this board in my HTPC (I know it's overkill), but I also wanted to be in a position to burn BluRay discs and some encoding. I wanted this box to last a although. I guess time will tell. I took one egg off for the bleeping beeping.

Worked out of box set-up was uncomplicated as can be. Each begin it beeps three brief beeps and a louder 1 but nevertheless boots to windows 7 64-bit and runs fine. I have no error codes and manual was pooor at very best for troubleshooting as well as MSI site. I have moved the ram tried the vid card in ands out to no avail to get rid of the beeping problems. That and mobo came with no screws to mount the mobo to the case. have it as a budget gaming machine and nevertheless rock solid no crashes or overheating concerns slapped 4 gigs ddr three 1333 ram into it and a 650w 80+ corsair PS in with a EVGA 570 GTX in a chakra case with a 250mm intake side fan. Easy to install and configure w/ Intel i7 2600. Newer drivers than the ones included on the CD in box are accessible from MSI website. Fantastic efficiency at a very good cost point. Even the fastest graphics cards on the market can not beat the performance of the SandyBridge HD 3000 integrated GPU in terms of video encoding/transcoding efficiency. No issues so far.

I had never applied MSI prior to this obtain and was a little leery. I totally adore it although. Prior to buying I known as MSI about a technical question that wasn't explained incredibly nicely on the website. I talked to a tech virtually instantly that not only spoke best English, but was quite beneficial and friendly. He had the question answered for me and I was off the telephone in 5 minutes.Right out of the box, every little thing worked wonderful. The Bios really communicates with the Windows utility. I have utilized boards prior to where altering settings in the Bios don't show up on the Windows application and it is a discomfort. Thru graphics and sound function excellent. All applications and drivers from MSI site work excellent. Will undoubtedly get MSI again. Only 2 Sata cables included. Even though you most likely won't be putting more than a couple of drives into a machine with a Micro ATX board, it would be nice to have the selection. The "Live Update" software didn't function very properly. Wouldn't recognize which version of drivers I had installed. Just download directly from the internet site.

Pros: Black PCB and slots to match black case interiors6 audio jacks for surround soundPCI slot for legacy sound cardsUSB 3.0 back I/O slots
Comment:
Pretty good board for a budget PC or an HTPC. The inclusion of the single PCI slot is great for those that still have expansion cards (like a sound card) that still use the legacy interface. No major problems in the 3 months that the computer has been running so far.
