HIS wows me again for their bargain preformance, just baught 2 of these for crossfire and they personal, overclocked 850񳂠 with ati overdrive...although you can jack them up over 1000 core clock with the appropriate software...stock WEI 7.7ǝ.9 overclocked @ 850񳂠 7.8ǝ.9 (x58 sabertooth mobo)...i'm assuming if i was to get a copy of trixx i could increase them to about 1010 core clock and get that 7.9 i want so badly...these were 165$...180$ without having mailin rebate fan is looooowwwwd...like...rediculously loud...never ever heard a vid card sound like this ... kinda surprising to me kuz HIS has a reputation for getting cooler and quietter, but its not the end of the planet individually they outbench a gtx 460...in crossfire they outbench a 6970 and are on the heals of the gtx 580...bang/buck...i think its the best obtainable setup, 2 of these in CF for 330$ that beat the crud out of 400$ cards

This card replaces my old 3870 and am really pleased with the differance in performance. I don't play hi-end games but this card runs cooler than my old 1 and video streaming is great. none. Thanks to ATI and HIS for coming out with excellent solutions.

I bought this card in the course of the Thanksgiving sale. I was doing a total upgrade and wanted a highly effective machine. I am partial to ATI so I was stuck deciding 6850 or 6890. I went with the 6850 due to the fact the ์ extra wouldn't have been worth it. I have to say that I am blown away by the functionality. BFBC2 and Vietnam run flawlessly on high almost everything. I mean almost everything; AA, shadows, water and so on... The only match I have observed have been Crysis operating everything extreme through higher intensity explosions the game froze and crashed and GTA4 with every little thing high (This was later resolved in a patch and now runs best on every thing higher). This could be due to the ram also or the truth I am only presently operating 1 card. Anyway, will be buying a second for crossfire within the next couple of months. None. No RMA, and the fan can't be heard. I'm playing games like bfbc2 at complete settings aa and vsync on finding extremely smooth game play my prior card was a vapor x 5750 and I believed that was very very good the difference is night and day. Takes a fantastic load of my cpu I am able to multitask when gaming. None as of yet. Bought this from other internet site with name of a well-known jungle, was tired of acquiring utilised and opened items from newegg. I have an micro atx case and simply because this card blows all the hot air into your case I had to upgrade my fans. Most recent drivers for vista did not perform got a black screen throughout install approach utilised cd drivers that came with card and was up and running.specsthermaltake lanbox litephenom x4 b35g.talent ddr3 8gbmsi 880gm-e43vertex ssd 60gbkiller bigfoot nic 2100Raptor x 150gbvista 64bitsamsung dvd burner

Great speed. 60fps with all wow setting maxed. Only one particular of my old VGA monitors can connect to the card. Now this is only a con lead to i failed to study that there is 1 DVI port on this gen 񨍢񴛆* of card that will help the old analog signal. My lack of display information at the time cost me ำ dollars 15% return charge plus shipping. So if you have 2 VGA monitors with DVI adapters only one will perform heh. Sadly I couldn't do a straight credit toward a 6870 so in a moment of nerd rage I bought the 6870 by means of one more website. But I nevertheless love newegg it was just a spendy lesson to understand.Oh btw, the 6870 cards are the very same set up lol.

The card itself appears capable of performing anything and almost everything I could ask of it.... But AMD's tech support when I was getting issues finding drivers that wouldn't crash Windows 7 was FAR much less impressive. "Go back to XP." was their complete e-mail response to the matter. I've been a life extended ATI Radeon user, so don't be surprised when you get a thank you card from Nvidia. I did locate a use for one of the two cards I purchased, installed into one more system to fend off the effects of it just being old until I can resolve the issue I contacted them about to start with. What ever happened to specialist tech assistance? Manufacturer Response:Dear Sevrun,Thank you for support in HIS. We are sorry for your predicament. Effectively, I got to use it for a single complete day and I gotta say this card is a big improvement over a 9600gt. lol Anyway here are the pros.-Cheap-Runs cool-Energy draw low-Quiet (Unless the fan goes hits 60% then it is slightly audible. Fan in no way goes previous 50% though.)-Runs Terrible corporation 2 on Max settings such as AA and Filtering(unless you're gaming above 1920x1080)-It takes extremely tiny power-Can be overclocked very easily (Pushed the core to 900mhz and the memory to 1200mhz and I saw no pixelation)-It's small, 9in can match in almost every single mid tower to date.-It's incredibly light so no be concerned on it causing tension on your mobo. Have to wait till x-mas T.T Buy this card... It's so low cost.

This card runs every game properly. It runs cool and quiet, and is a wonderful overclocker. The price has dropped on it since I got it on Black Friday, so even a superior deal now. I run C&C4 and Starcraft II entirely maxed out and get no lag whatsoever. It runs Black Ops maxed out as properly... ...while it does run Black Ops maxed out, there are instances in heavy battle and zombies exactly where it does lag and as a result leads me to want to choose up an additional 6850 to crossfire. I could back the settings off, but why the heck would I want to do that? Really quick card! Can final play Every thing at 1080p on my media Computer. Runs extremely cool, and I really like that it only wants to have one particular Power PCIE plug to function. Taking into consideration that this compares favorably to the Radeon 5850 and GTX460 1GB it's a hell of a deal. I can imagine this getting excellent in Crossfire, in particular if you have a 550watt맰watt psu that only has 2 PCI-e plugs. The packaging is effectively completed and in basic the card has a nice quality really feel to it. The Shroud is a tiny flimsy and doesn't route hot air like on the stock Radeon 6870񴛆. Also the shroud is a small misleading. As under it is a typical "Zalman" style Non-Reference HSF (BUT...it performs actually nice!!) The Fan can also get quite loud under load, but I'm gaming in those instances so the sound of explosions and engines roaring will supersede the sound from the fan roaring. At Idle, it's fine. Very good Card. My Initial HIS. The Packaging appears incredibly similar to Powercolor's and the card's excellent itself is very nice and comparable to Sapphire. Whilst the shroud is a bit flimsy when compared to even the Stock 5770 it replace, it is much better than just possessing the bare HSF so kudos on the shroud, make the card look classy

Fast in Crossfire (only way I've run it, can't comment on standalone functionality)Quiet - I have yet to hear the fans, even playing CoD:BO maxed out @ 1920x1080 - 120+ fpsLight - Unlike some cards, I don't really feel like it's going to rip out of the motherboard due to the weightGood kind element - fits nicely in ATX case None Bought this based on net critiques, they have been very optimistic, and, as it turns out, they were accurate. These rock in Crossfire.

-Fantastic value/performance worth. Particularly in single monitor setups.-I run this card in three monitor Eyefinity @ 3x1280x1024, bezel compensated to 4080x1024. 3-head for 赞?? Stupid fantastic cost!-Quite low power draw for what you get overall performance sensible.-Runs quiet and cool.-Tiny form issue as very good-performing GPU bricks go.-Will clock appropriate up under Catalyst to 840mHz+ core. -Why could HIS NOT include a DisplayPort-DVI/VGA adapter??? Why??? They are Incredibly challenging to discover if not impossible to source locally.-WARNING: the Complete 6000 series of GPUs is Completely unsupported by Catalyst for Linux as of Catalyst 10.12. Zero zip nada. No driver at all. I can\'t think AMD/ATi released a card devoid of a driver. -If you're running Eyefinity, you just can not max out setting on games and hold playable framerates above 40fps. Not on 1 of these cards. You'll want to drop your AA settings as the 1GB of VRAM simplay isn't sufficient to AA across four+megapixels in games

I put this Card in a pc for a church doing presentation stuff with EasyWorship application. It operates good for that. It allows you to drive 3 screens at 1 time. Nvidia doesn't do that unless you get one of their pricey quadro cards. I don't like that truth that the two dvi ports aren't the similar. One port is a DVI - I and the other a DVI-D. Most DVI to vga adapters are DVI - I. This sort of annoyed me. When i was working with this card, I discovered that if the computer shut off the monitors for energy saving, the displayport would not wake up. I was utilizing a show port to vga adapter. Not confident if that was the problem or not. In this application, I was ok with turning off all the power saving settings.

-Actually powerful in Crossfire-Finest bang for the bucks in CF-Really low-cost cards-Seriously good cooling, idle at 38C and load at 70C in CF-Ultimately good drivers but needed to wait until january... -Took a extended time for very good operating drivers-Drivers prior to january 2011 are really terrible...-None other that I have encounters... I got these card for the duration of the Boxing day with the 50$ refund from paypal. Great selection, all in all, I got two cards for 350$ anything integrated (taxes, shipping).Immediately after a lot analysis, I consider HIS genuinely take the crown for cooling solution and I can easily say that my Asus EAH4850 prime in CF have been truly overheating due to poor cooling options. This is a different globe and I thank HIS to finally created my Pc what it ought to have been because the starting. As for the DOA unit lately in critiques, each and every manufacturer got some negative board, but at least it's not a bad design. And for the drivers challenge, now the drivers are fine... and if you got a HD Television plugged into it, you cannot got 75Hz at 1080p... that's just the normal even if Windows inform you it is, it is not.

-Fantastic Functionality, can run most games at high settings with 40-60 fps.-Runs quiet, fan does not make allot of noise Fan does not do allot. With a quite terrible cooling technique this card can run Incredibly hot, up to 76 degrees Celsius, which is extremely near to the max temperature that cards can manage. I would advocate at least two 120mm fans some had been in the case. Great price tag, and when overlocked performs superior than a stock 6870 so if you are hunting for a low cost, higher performing card look no further.

This card is truly fast. Can't beat the overall performance for the value. HIS truly makes great items. This is the 4th card that I have purchased from them and all of them have performed flawlessly. I could be springing for a second card to run Crossfire. I missed the mail-in rebate by 1 day :( The plastic shroud over the cooler on mine was etremely flimsy. This isn't really a con as when you get it installed it doesn't genuinely matter. A thing to watch out for whilst installing it.

I just wanted to clear up one factor. I have had no complications with this card, save for overheating on oc, but thats my fault, not the cards... I in fact just purchased my second 1 for xfire 2 days ago. I mostly wanted to clear up the negative responses on this thread. The comment by Jack exactly where he infers this card performs worse than his old... WoW @ 7-20fps or such is not correct at all. If you have 1 of these cards that Operates, it can and will run WoW at 60fps Ultra Settings, x4aa x16a.. None... except it could be less expensive =D Careful if you unlock these with the ATI unlocker, the "Auto" fan doesn't appear to respond effectively and even though it displays the Temps about 45-50c, this is only 1Ǚ of the Temp meter and the fan only runs @ 25%. Even nonetheless, thats hot for me so I went to Manual manage and boost the fan to 80-90% to preserve temps in the 40-45 range. This is with an O/C of 825mhz base clock and 1125mhz mem clock. Stock is 775mhz base clock and 1000mhz mem clock

Fantastic all around card that will run almost everything you throw at it. Only the most extreme gamer may well want a lot more. With the proper drivers it enables all the most recent attributes offered from this chip. The cooler exhaust all around the card so if you have a cooling challenged situation get one of these that exhausts only out the back.

Looks nice and runs windows really properly. I have this installed in my new process and it doesn't work with any games whatsoever. I play guild wars, half life two, call of duty black op, etc, and the programs crash and when I appear at the error screen, it tells me it's since of the card. I have attempted three distinct drivers for it (the ones that came with the card on the dvd, the newest catalyst, and the most recent one particular on the website). Absolutely nothing appears to function. I have sent error reports to the game manufacturers as effectively, but haven't gotten something back. I'm just concerned that I have a large old paper weight that only functions in windows and not in games. I was looking to upgrade the monitor I have to a 1080p and hdmi so I could us HD graphics, but I am holding off on it.
