Cons: Lighter heatsink than I expected , and it stick out further than I was expecting. Doesn`t force the hot air out of the back of case causing heat to build up in the case after a while.
Pros: My system uses about 40 watts less while browsing.Runs cooler than previous card . HDMI port will be usefull . decent cooler. 2GB ram . Comment:
I bought this here last sale and it is definitely a step up from my old card which is dying.This is replacing my 8800GTS640 , and while it doesn`t seem as high end as the 8800 was when new , it is better . I have just used it for world of tanks and GPU usage only goes up to about 40% so far. I usually have a 120 mm fan beside the hard drives but the heat pipes on this cooler stick out enough that I had to lean it on an angle ,but it seems to be working out fine this way. Im not sure if the heatsink touches the memory on the card , but if I were to but again I would get a card that forces the air out of the case. I am still quite pleased with the card. |

Cons: The lack of 2xDVI

I've upgraded from an HD4870 512Mb GDDR5 to this card and I'm more than happy!This card is very fast, I can play all my games at very high details at a fairly high FPS. The design is very nice and it's not noisy. It has eye-finity with is great too.It's not that expensive compared to other cards in this range and I think I will buy another one in a few months to X-fire when the price will drop a bit!I would have liked it if there was 2xDVI instead of 2x mDP. This is the only downside I can think of.I recommend this card to anyone :) |

I didn't buy this from ncix cuz I was at overseas, but I'm a frequent ncix shopper.I only have good things to say about this card. I played BF3, SC2 and other games flawlessly. Some people suggested me to get nvidia but I felt like going with 7870, and I don't regret it at all. I think some people may have had bad experience from other companies like gigabyte or some other 'lower' quality builders. I trust Asus and even though their products are a bit more expensive, I think it's worth it :) |
Decided to try this card after my Gigabyte 460 failed, happy so far. Like the fact that it has a full size hdmi slot as I kept loosing my mini adapter for my other card.
