Cons: Clear QAM not supported in Canada, and not by Rogers, Shaw or Cogeco. Have to request the Clear QAM firmware update  that adds features to the standard firmware as shipped with the device.

Pros: An excellent alternative to cable television and the ability to record on the fly or schedule recordings of your programs, unlike many other devices out there. Clear QAM support for countries other than Canada, small and flexible as well.
Comment:
This is a great device to get free OTA television service without paying for service. You'll have to pair it with a very good antenna with a decent amplifier and noise filtering, and then you can easily receive many digital television stations and radio channels. You can record on the fly or schedule program recording but you can't use the device while it's recording so setup a splitter before the unit to your television or monitor and you're set to go. Its great for those that only have 1 or 2 tv's in their home or need it at their cottage.

Cons: UI is clunky.

Pros: Excellent value - Get off Cable, get PVR and Digital Media advantages. Buy this unit if you are looking to save money while still having access to HDTV station broadcasts in your area.
Comment:
The unit is excellent value if you are considering the option of going off cable and want to save money. You will not get all the speciality channels that you were used to viewing (spike, food, oprah, whatever). But you will have access to the Strong HDTV broadcasts of your local stations so you can keep in touch with the news, and other local interests. You may get lucky and pick up some of the strongest US broadcasts if you are close to their border/transmitter.Check out TVFool on Google. It's a weba based utility that will quickly estimate the TV stations you can pick up in your area based on postal code.If you are WAY far from City centres, definately check out TVFool before picking up this unit. You may only have CABLE as an option if you are too far from transmitters. You *WILL* need an HDTV antenna to pull in the signal to your HOmeworx unit. The bigger your antenna, the better your reception. Budget for the cost.Make sure you have all the necessary cables (coaxial required from antenna to homeworx unit).Enjoy! PVR'ing on this is a nice convenience, and you can play music/photos/videos from your USB key/USB HDD.

Cons: No HD, Low Software features

Pros: Small, It just works
Comment:
Bought it on Sale, - $45. I will buy another one before the sale is over - LOVE IT, HDTV - I can pickup 7 Channels in East Van. 75-100% signal - I have line of sight to Seymour towers. No HD but it keeps cost down. You can add your own USB ext - for PVR and pause live TV - Works GREAT! USB Stick are too Slow and makes recording choppy. Electronic Program (TV GUIDE) is nice. Software could use some improvements. Needs SLOW MO playback, chapter skipMy antenna is an old coax cable, the ends is split into a T shape. Google it to build your OTA./shoe box. Works better than the ones you pay for. Try this first - Its free.CUT the cable cost - GOOD BY SHAW CABLE! I don't watch enough TV. I got Netflix/Crystal Clear HD - 7 channels - I will miss my Hockey but I'm SAVING $$$$$$$$$$

Cons: Not much, but coudln't find a way to find progress when playing recrding except when minimising the pay window.

Pros: For the price excellent device. It has PVR, time-shift, EPG, HDMI output and RF output (by pass).
Comment:
Great device for OTA PVR and EPG. Unencrypted recordings to external usb drive and time-shift. I ought another device for TV in basement after testing this for couple of hours.

Cons: interface lagsignal indicator not too accuratenot that easy to change aspect ratio

Pros: pvr capabilitiesusb media player
Comment:
If you're looking for a digital converter box for an old TV, this works great. It has a lot of features you wouldn't expect to find on something so inexpensive. Just make sure to have a good antenna so you can get reception for all the channels in your area.
