Although this worked as expected setting up a Secure Connection Required accessing the web interface which there was not alot of instructions on how to do this.. Also had to upgrade the firmware and the configuration software in order to do the initial setup on Windows 7.. All in all a good product was setup and working.

Have my wireless router in the bedroom and 3 laptops scattered through out the house. The Hawkins is installed between the router and the furthest laptop. I have seen a considerable signal improvement since my purchase last week. The only drawback to this item is the price....you can pick it up online at Walmart for $53.00.

This Range Extender does an excellent job for about $80 and is very easy to install. Out of the box and up and running in about 30 minutes. It has a lot of bells and whistles that are more than what is needed.

Could not get installed. First time I spent 45 minutes with Hawking support and they finally said, return for replacement. With second extender, I spent another 45 minutes with Hawking support. They said lights on device indicate working but I could not get internet service. I sent back for refund and I am llking for another extender.

Extended range to desired location to 54 Mbps initially, but dropped to 12 to 24 Mbps later. The slowdown could be the wireless router (for cable modem) it extends or the signal from the cellular provider. I will improve my rating if I discover it was the router or service provider. The documentation was not well written or as clear orspecific as it could be. I did get an e-mail reply to a request for support, and I appreciated that.

I bought a Linksys unit and it never quite worked right. Bad connections, weak signal and a pain to set up. I got rid of it and bought the Hawking unit. Quick set-up, really strong signal and never had to touch it again.

I have installed four of these in 4 different applications to extend coverage and fill dead spaces in WAP coverage. They are easy to setup and have solved the problem in all cases. They work wonderfully and as advertised. I had no problems with any of the installs.I will continue to use them in my business for other client applications. Highly recommend them.

I have been on two calls and have exchanged 2 emails with hawkins to try to get this to work. It works well sitting next to my router and close to the wireless access point. When it is moved 30' away it doesn't work and drops the connection to windows. Tech tinks it is a bad antenna. I will try that but this has not been a good experience.

I may end up with a working repeater, but right now I spent $75 for a repeater that cannot connect to the existing network because I have spaces in the pass-phrase. (At least that SEEMS to be what support thinks I should change to make their device work.) I have no intention of reducing the length and complexity on my network pass-phrase for this device, so I won't know if it would have fixed the dead zone in my house or not.

This product solved the problem of the deadzone in the far basement of our large house. I installed it easily, even while being distracted by a teenager. It was easy to install, the instructions were clear, and it works really well. Of course I was afraid I couldn't install it, and more afraid that it wouldn't provide coverage, but it is great. Just remember to change your connection to the Extender when connecting your laptop to the internet. To me, this is one of the best products ever invented!!!!

I switched to T-Mobile at Home for phone service and in the process had to give up my D-Link WR for a Linksys WR. The reception by my wireless devices was terrible and after two Linksys swap out and 6 trouble shooting calls I opted to purchase a range extender. Before the hawking HE I'd get 2 bars of signal strength at best, low speeds and very poor stability. 10 minutes after configuring the Hawking I had maximum reception and full throughput. If you have any trouble spots I'd consider this and put it in a central location for maximum effectiveness.

Based on the other reviews I purchased this unit. It was moderately easy to set up and worked great for a little over a week then failed. I went through the set up process again thinking it might have something to do with poor internet service from the local provider, which is typical. It worked fine again for a couple of days then failed again. Finally it got so that it would only work for about fifteen minutes before failing. Obviously a bad component another example of quality fade from overseas perhaps. I didn't replace it because there were none available. If you get one that works and it looks like most do then you should be happy. This company has always been good about helping with defective products, not man, so no problem there. overall

My parents moved into a large house and my Father built a workshop out on the property. One of the things he wanted out there with all his tools was his laptop. The signal from the router in the office didn't reach far enough so I bought this extender for them. My Dad set it up without even having to call me for tech support and now he has a pretty good signal out in the workshop. I'd recommend this product to anyone based on results and ease of set up.

I replaced a dead Linksys range extender with this unit and couldn't be happier. Quick and simple setup, stronger, larger area coverage (compared to the Linksys), and dirt cheap pricing and amazing shipping speed. What's not to like?

I bought this based on reviews I read on the web. It is as advertised. We use Netflix to watch instant movies on HD TV via our laptop. Followed installation instruction and worked without a hitch. Now we have internet access everywhere in the house.

I was able to set it up in a few minutes. Works well. Basically creates a second wireless hub in your house - you can connect to whichever is closer to your device. Good buy

WOW, This thing was so simple to setup. I am installing a wireless network in a 100 year old country club. Im talking concrete solid, all the way through. I bought a linksys high gain antenna and added it to this hawking and it was stronger than buying three of the linksys range extenders. So you do the math 150.00 for the extender and linksys antenna or 3 linksys at 80.00 bucks per pop and those linksys expanders by the way are a major pain in the arse.
