Bought for Laptop to Hook into DJ Equipment. Works with DJ Software after having to load both decks, otherwise has choppy audio. Also Passes a ground loop so an Ground Loop Isolator was needed with system. The Driver does use some CPU cycles for processing multi-channel info, but can easily be dealt with.. Good product for the money, but does have minor issues to contend with... Used on a Gateway Laptop... |
Purchased this to fill a specific requirement for a USB digital audio output and in spite of several attempts at different settings and/or drivers it simply does not fully meet those requirements.Output seems to be limited to 48Khz 2 channel PCM, and supporting software doesn't appear to have any control over the audio. There isn't even a balance option let alone working EQ.I suspect the issue might be related to poor driver support under windows 8.0/8.1 but haven't tested under windows7 to verify. It should also be noted that this issue seems to be an issue with all USB c-media chip based audio products (even the higher end creative model is suspect).Would have given it a 2 rating, but wasn't sure if it'd make it onto the site with that... Would definitely not purchase again.
