This puppy uses the C-Media CM108 audio controller. I bought it to use in my Kubuntu Linux system. Works great, no problems, no drivers needed. |

Pros: Easy to install. Works well for systems without 3.5mm jack for mic and earphones/speakers. Comes with an extender so you don't have it getting in the way of your other USB devices. No bloated software to install to get the drivers. Comment:
Well priced and easy to setup. Drivers are required for this so it's not plug and play. Driver installation does require a restart. No bloated software either which is a big plus for me! |

I have my monitor and desktop about 10 feet apart. I have all the wires hidden. I needed to add speakers and I did not want to worry about the wires. Plugged in the adaptor to my USB monitor and sound worked great. |

This audio jack is great. Plug it in and go. My son's computer had a non-functional sound car. 2 minutes out of the box and this adapter had him up and running. Thanks for an innovative product! |

This device allows buying low priced phone headset that do the job instead of expensive kits wit an included USB card. More: the cable supplied protects the device that hangs from the USB port instead of jutting out the PC. |

Nothing overly special about this unit. I hooked it up to my Win7 portable, plugged in my external speakers, and the sound is as good as my connecting directly to my laptop (whose jack is inaccessible when in my docking station). I noticed some periodic, audible interference from something other than my cell phone. I haven't figured it out and it may be solved by moving the speaker cable but didn't have this same problem when direct connected to my laptop. For the price, I'm very pleased |

My mom's HP laptop is just over a year old and the sound card died. She skypes with her family around the world and she was looking at an expensive repair or replacement. I ordered this hoping it would work and I was amazed! I tried it on XP, Vista and Windows 7. It worked every time AND without installing drivers on each operating system. Thanks ! |

I ordered this adapter to use on my computer at work, because I didn't have a sound card. It works great. I just took it out of the box and inserted it into the usb port, then plugged my speakers into the adapter. Easy for anyone to use. It was exactly what I needed. Thanks for a great product and price. |

I am not computer smart I only had my lap top a year. A virus messed my lap top up. I used my lap top for work and to play music and XM radio. My ear jack went out, I was told about the USB adapter I called around and checked everybody wanted more. I found your adapter and store order it got it when said put it in and it works like a charm. THANK YOU MUCH ODDIS LEWIS PS ANYTHING I NEED YOU GUYS ARE MY CHOICE |

Worked right out of the package on either Win2K or XP and gives portability as bonus. Well worth it for the few bucks. |
The headphone jack in my laptop got nudged out of place, so I only get sound out of one side of my headphones at a time. This was the perfect solution. It does exactly as advertised - plug it into a usb slot, wait a few seconds for it to do its thing and connect, and then you've got a new usb jack ready to go. Sound quality is just as good as before. I love the fact it comes with an extension cable, although now I only have one spare usb slot at any given time. But I'm sure there's neat little gadgets to help that problem, too.
