This is a no-brainer. I installed it in my XP Pro Home and it found the driver automatically. It worked on the first try. Now my old printer prints first time, every time. |

The card that is shown is not what I received. No disclaimer on page stating product may be different due different manufactures. |

Product was generally easy to install. Hardware and software wise, drivers were confused at first but it all sorted out. |

I bought a HP desktop from here and needed this card to hook up a laser printer that did not have a network card. Works great. Had no problems setting it up. |

I'm surprised everybody had such trouble with this card. My experience with it was good. Works as advertised. Installed in new XP machine. No problems at all. |

As with everyone else I had an EXTREMELY hard time installing this card. I was ready to send the damn thing back and get something that would actually install until I found that someone else had been able to install it. It was still quite difficult to get it to install properly but I finally did. the card works fine but the installation is a bust. I wouldn't recommend it unless you know what you are doing or can follow instructions really well. |

The card was easy to install, but the driver was a total pain on XP. I was finally able to get it done with the instructions from this reviewer: TheFatherM Reviewed Jan 18, 2008 |

Bought card a year ago. Couldn't get it to work on 2000, XP, Vista, and Linux(any flavor). Left it in my Vista machine and fahgohtabohtit. Today, a year later, under Devices, it is reported as OK. Plugged in printer - it works great. I'm going to church Sunday. |

I finally gave up on the disk and went directly to the Microsoft Update site and used the Hardware section to install the device after moving it to another PCI slot. So much for the disk. |

Piece of junk. I don't know how anyone posting here got this to work. The CD contains drivers not supported by XP. MOS Driver would not install, kept spitting up error about some Windows Service. The website in the sparse documentation takes you to a web site crawler which attempts to direct you to software sites you must download & pay for s/w. I had to go fishing for the drivers and when I finally found them, unzipped, read the README1ST.TXT file, in plain English it states ''NM9735 - will NOT work with Windows-xp or Windows-2000''. It listed this for the 9705, 9745 too. |

I was able to install with just a bit of trouble- thanks to the review/info submitted by TheFatherM. the card does work, it just takes a bit of patience installing the driver. Not the best support, but for the price... |

I had the same trouble installing this device on a new core2duo desktop pc from Dell. No other cards installed and no conflicts. Succeeded by following the procedure described by the previous reviewer. The product suits my needs, allowing me to use an obsolete parallel printer with a pc with only usb. Should make the work-around more available. |

I could not get the drivers to load on XP ether. I did finally get it working though here is how... I went to the folder \SD-CARD07A\NetMOS\NM9805\Win2K_XP_2003Server on the driver CD and ran the uninstall.exe then I rebooted and pointed the driver install dialog at that same above folder. I did this both time it detected it. It sat on the detection screen for a LONG time after hitting next. It DID detect and work after that. This port's drivers simply would not install in a WindowsXP box. After hours of trying I gave up. An email to the manufacturer resulted in a boiler plate response. When I replied to the email telling them it still didn't work, I got no response. |

I'm using XP and all I had to do was plug the card in and go. It took care of everything with no problems. |
