Cons: Asus tech support, very short battery life, runs really hot, touch pad stopped working properly.
Pros: FAST wireless connection. Very quiet. Numeric pad. Comment:
Disappointing purchase. The battery only lasts about 2 hours. Asus tech support is very limited. Unable to resolve simple problems. Searching on the internet provided solutions. I would not buy this computer again. |
I just recently purchased this laptop as a desktop replacement for my Home Office which would allow me to work and play some moderate gaming. My first impressions were really good, very solid build, has a full size keyboard that's very comfortable. My only issue was that when gaming I had issues getting certain games to work (mafia 2), I tried downloading the newest driver for the 310m of nvidia's website but there is a warning in the release notes that it does not support hybrid graphics which is where alot of negitive reviews come from. Once I updated my drivers with the latest ones on Asus's Support Site the laptop was perfect. Playing Age of Conan, Mafia 2, Crysis 2 without any issues at all. The updates also improve the batteries life a good bit. When i'm working, using the Intel Graphics the laptop is very silent and cool.
