Cons: -The Power gear utility was causing my processor to be dramatically underutilized. It was set to quiet mode but this really limited the CPU to ~10%. I tried playing with it to use more processor but to no avail. So I set it to entertainment and it started to use the full processor again.-Sleep mode, power light flashes on/off quite bright in dark room
Pros: +Incredible quality of the case+The aluminum finish does not show fingerprints+Great Hinges - Closes/Opens very smoothly.+Keyboard is nice and large for a laptop. Size of keys bonus.+Smooth touchpad/buttons.+2 year Warranty protection.+Integrated graphics with 1gig+Bright screen |
I am really amazed at the quality of the case from ASUS they really made a solid piece here. There are so many versions of these laptops that it's a little overwhelming when trying to find one for what you need.All in all I believe this an excellent mid range laptop.These Sandybridge processors are somewhat different for laptops so it's good to do your research.For example this I5 is a 2 core with 4 thread processor. Some other processors are 2 core with 2 threads... Some are 4 core with 4 threads... etc. Just something to look into when you are researching.
