Was much less expensive than buying from apple. My IMAC24 had the the slots filled with two 1GB Chips so I had to waste 1. and I'm at 3gb rather of four. I'm gonna grab an additional one of these later two max it out at 4gb.

Straightforward to set upDon't have to configure anythingLets me have a lot more applications open at the same time, no much more page outs or swap. (: - Utilized this on an early 2008 20" iMac (iMac8,1). Went from 1 GB RAM to 3 GB RAM. (:

Simple to set up. Extremely affordable price. Operates great. Big difference. Do a lot of perform with pictures and applications run significantly more rapidly. Seriously?!? its only that a lot for 2 much more gigs of RAM. None so far. I was reading the critiques. 1 mentioned this would not work on the 24in. You require to verify the generation of iMac you have. Current iMacs (early 2009) run off a DDR3. The early 08 iMacs run off a DDR2. It does if installed in the proper generation. Newer generations (early 2009) in both 20in & 24in run 1066MHz DDR3 (PC3-8500) and the early 2008 in both 20inቴin run 800MHz DDR2 (PC2-6400). So make positive you confirm your model # and serial quantity against the apple site to see which generation you have. Or less complicated just check the specs of the existing program by opening program profiler and picking memory. Match up the specs and viola. A lot more ram that works wonderful for a great price tag.

Chips were unopened, but Kingston chips have always been 1st class in my experience. Nonetheless, it looks like they will not be returnable, even unopened so beware. Check with Kingston. According to Kingston Tech Assistance these chips are NOT recommend for use in the Imac 24. They told me to stay with the 667 chips. ව-134-373. The information on the Newegg website is not right. I ended up taking the 1GB chips out of the Imac24 and putting two in my Macbook Pro,Intel core duo 2.0GHz. That worked fine, The Macbook will only assistance 2GB of memory. I place 4GB of 20-134-373 chips in the Imac. Worked fine.

Wasn't in a position to uncover out... I was led to think by other critiques that this RAM would be compatible with my dad's iMac, which needed a RAM upgrade. He has a comparatively current model, the 20" aluminum and glass two.4 ghz Core 2 Duo model. Popped the RAM in, no boot.... Tried several configurations... Googled it, located some answers. Apparently this Mac doesn't help DDR2 800. Fine... Here's the stupid part. According to what I discovered, this RAM ought to also be capable of down-clocking itself to run at the speed this computer can handle. Sadly some makers are from time to time a little sloppy about making confident their SPD settings are appropriately programmed. The nitpicky Mac bios picks this up, and refuses to boot. A workaround is to have one particular stick of stock RAM, and a single of these installed, the stock SO-DIMM will force the other to run at 667 mhz. I tried it, and it worked. The computer booted, only to crash soon right after I logged in... Back it goes, gonna discover myself some slower RAM. :(

Rapidly. Inexpensive. Operates with existing 512MB stick in my late ག 17" 2GHz Core two Duo iMac (Model MA590LL). Harder than hell to seat appropriately in the memory slot - which led me to think there was a thing wrong with the item. Keep trying and you'll get it. So, I've in no way replaced memory in my iMac just before, but it was tougher than my other experiences with tower desktop PCs. Once I finally tried a couple of different instances, I finally got it to take and once I replaced the memory door I haven't looked back. It surely perked up my personal computer quite a bit, apps open quicker and Aperture has finally come alive.

Great value for a traditional brand (Kingston). None. It worked flawlessly. No troubles with the current 1GB stick. I advise going to YouTube for videos showing how to alter the memory on a iMac. It is not difficult but a video is considerably far better than the directions on the base of the iMac.

Straightforward install and work as expected. None. I purchased two of these to replace the 1 gig cards in my 2008 24" iMac. So far, so superior.

I bought this for my girlfriend's imac, popped it in and it worked like a charm. Her personal computer is running far better then ever, although prior to hand it only had 1 GB of stock ram ƒx 512mb)Lifetime warranty, works very properly, noticeable improvement if your method is running a bit laggy with opening factors. Nothing, likely will be acquiring yet another soon.

Not high-priced, straightforward to put in (instructions on bottom of iMac), and makes a big distinction! None, works perfectly in the newer Core two Duo iMacs. Still can't believe how affordable this upgrade is... so worth it!Just be positive to discharge any static electricity before you touch the memory chips and begin opening up the iMac and you should be fine.

Did precisely what it was supposed to do. Increasing from two to 4 gb of memory improved the speed of my Intel iMac (alluminum/glass model). None but.
