Kinston is a very good brand and I've utilised it before. I haven't had any difficulty with them and, so far as I know, the RAM I bought worked fine. It didn't operate in my HP Pavilion ze4430us. Properly, it runs fine on my IBM Thinkpad T30 when its docked Pc reliably freezes up when your undocked. You can only run it smoothly when in Secure mode. Knoppix seems to run with it fine also. I purchased the ram simply because it was a great worth and matched the requirments that this laptop could deal with. Its a DDR266 (PC2100) kind of memory which matched the current RAM variety so I figured it would get along fine with it. I even attempted operating the 512 memory module by itself in either slot and it nonetheless froze up. I was suspicious that some process was causing the laptop to freeze up. The laptop does not lock up if I run just the old 256 Stick. It may be one thing with the undock/dock computer software trigger. |

nice refreshment for old laptops. none so far if chip is not DOA, then it does what it is suposed to do :) with this chip I went from 512 to 768 MB ram - definately feel the difference when switching in between the dozens open applications.
