Cons: -non detachable sound bar

Pros: -multiple inputs-remote control-bright screen
Comment:
I needed a all around monitor to use for gaming, movies, and internet and this fit the bill. I am especially impressed by all the connections, DVI, HDMI, COMPONENT, and most surprisingly of all COMPOSITE. I have my playstation 1, 2, and 3 hooked up to this monitor all at once and they play really well.

Cons: Speakers are bass-less.

Pros: Big size.Non-PC inputs (Composite, Component, etc.).Audio in/out. USB in/out.
Comment:
Before I bought this monitor, I had one 23" monitor, that I used for a PC for coding+gaming+movies/TV. I bought this one to take over on the movies/TV side, and it's way better. It's no 30+" TV, but the room I have this in is only 15' tops from the monitor to the couch, so it doesn't need to be bigger and is not noticeably smaller than other modern TVs. Plus, I don't need to go as far as a TV tuner since I don't get cable, but being able to use my Wii again since getting rid of a big 32" CRT TV a year ago, by plugging it into the component ports, is definitely worth it. 4 stars 'cause it doesn't do audio out through anything but a 3.5mm jack, and 'cause it the speakers are tinny but attached by a non-removable plastic hanging piece. Probably not different than any other similar monitor, but, still not absolutely perfect. Would definitely buy again, though, if I ever needed another similar product.

Cons: Sound is sub par compared to my desktop speakers; picture fades when viewing from an angle.

Pros: Very clear bright picture; HD resolution; Durable Stand; Lots of inputs.
Comment:
I've had the monitor for three weeks now and I can honestly say I'm very happy with my purchase. Even in Economy mode the picture is crisp and the colours are bright. But, when I'm playing a game or watching a movie I will turn up the settings and I suddenly see what I really paid for. Best monitor, I've ever owned.Yes, the speakers aren't very good, but that's not why I bought the monitor.

Cons: - Speakers are mediocre- Would've preferred the speakers removed since it's gray and the screen bezel is black- There seemed to have been some ghosting but it disappeared

Pros: - Perfect monitor size for 1080p ratio, not too big- Lots of connectors, 4 usb ports, 2 HDMIs- Durable stand, it supports the weight of the monitor really well.

Got it for $300 and it's waaaaaay worth it! Nice bright screen, strong contrast, fast response time.Bought this mainly for gaming and watching blu-ray.I still have to use photoshop and premiere on this but from what I've seen so far it's really good even for editing.

Cons: - Built-in speakers aren't great, and aren't removable- Screwdriver which comes with the screen to assemble the basepiece is too dull to screw in the screws (so have one handy)

Pros: - Great picture (blacks, whites, lights, darks, colors all look excellent)- Response time is good- Comes with a remote control to change picture settings / inbuilt speaker volume (it's fairly handy)
Comment:
I bought this screen because I thought my old 25" screen died on me. Turns out it didn't, but I kept this one and sold my old 25" 2509m. This is definitely a great upgrade: Everything is better. It's bigger, the picture is better in every way, the response time is excellent, and overall the screen is just very good.I already have an expensive speaker setup, so I didn't buy this screen for the purpose of using the speakers. I simply read good reviews about it. I almost ended up not buying this screen (since built-in speakers usually puts up a flag that the picture would be bad), however that isn't the case with this screen.5 stars: Not much more can be asked for in the quality of the picture the screen produces, and the number of features the screen provides. It has so many inputs to allow for so many different setups (2 HDMI slots, dvi, vga... lots of slots on the back), and the screen comes with a ton of options built-in to modify the picture. If I needed the speakers, this would be an even better buy for myself (so if you need built-in speakers, that's just an extra reason to get this).

Cons: Sound is weak. Not real bad but still weak. Picture is good, buy it is a TN panel so angles make a difference.

Pros: Crisp clear picture. Good resolution. Large. All the video inputs I wanted.
Comment:
Bought because of all the inputs. Will use for PC and TV monitor on Expressvu. Great as a computer monitor. Pictures and text are crisp using DVI. 1920x1080 is good. Would have preferred 1920x1200 but very little product select ion at that resolution. As a TV monitor the picture is great on HD. SD is dependent on signal quality but looks good with a good signal. The quality of the video cable made a big difference in picture at SD. Do not use dollar-store cables. Remote is OK, although it cannot be controlled by an ExpressVu remote. Bought a learning remote which works great. Did not expect sound to be great and it isn't in most flat panels. The picture is good, but TN panels are limited. Worse angle by far is from beneath so don't plan to mount it where the viewing angle is upwards. Side angles are OK, but there is noticeable change as the angle increases. Mounted it on the wall behind my desk and its great. Went from a 22" to this 27" and it is not too big as a PC monitor at 30" away. DIVX movies from a DVD player look good. Auto-select  of sound input does not work between HDMI and RCA inputs. Have not tried the headphone jack for external speakers but will at some point. Cannot lift it using the bottom because of the speakers, but that is OK with me. Overall very happy. $300 was a great price. $15 for insurance very good (was $50 last time I bought a monitor). I think the basic situation is at at this screen size and cost all vendors use TN and not IPS, so there won't be a big difference in picture quality between any of the vendors.

Cons: TV speaker like sound

Pros: Sharp picture, vibrant colours
Comment:
I was looking for a larger than average monitor and feel most pleased that I opted for this model. Other than the mediocre sound, it's one of the best monitors I've ever owned!

Cons: The screen is tinted more towards blue. The speaker on the bottom is hit or miss, aesthetically speaking.

Pros: Loads of connectors with a lot of real estate.A good price for a 1080p 27"Having a remote is super handy.
Comment:
I was super stoked to see how bright this monitor is. Now I can connect my PS3, XBOX 360 and computer without switching cables around. Personally, I would say that alone pays for itself. All around great buy.

Cons: Just like Harley said, watch out before you lift it not to hold it by the speakers. Oh and USB hub shuts off in standby mode or hibernation so keyboard or mouse plugged into it will not wake it up. For a pc monitor I think the res could have been higher, but if that would affect the price then leave it where it's at. It does the job.

Pros: Size and brightness. Like the speakers. Saves me from externals taking up desk space since I use mostly my 5.1 headset for gaming. All the video inputs are GREAT! Way more than most monitors this size. PRICE! Got it when it was $399.
Comment:
Bought it mostly for gaming. 2ms is just what i decide by. Nothing higher for this gamer. The brightness is awesome! Size does matter! It smurfs my 22".Speakers clear up some desk space. No dead or stuck pixels. Lucky me!Every type of video input.I LOVE IT!

Cons: Speakers can make it awkward to carry

Pros: Lots of inputs, decent speakers, cable-clip
Comment:
Picture is clear and sharp, colors and contrast are good. It's size and number of inputs let it easily double as a T.V. for a small or medium room, which was my intent. The built-in speakers are actually pretty good. They certainly can't compare to an amp + speakers, but they're fine for a smallish room and help save space. The only problem with the speakers is that you can't hold the bottom of the monitor to carry or adjust it, so you'll have to keep that in mind. There's a cable clip at the back of the stand that keeps all your cables tucked behind the stand, which adds to the aesthetics since you don't see a bunch of cables dangling behind the display. I recently got a bd-rom drive as well, and the blu-ray movies looked excellent on the screen. I don't think it says anywhere but it does have mounting holes, 100mmx200mm. The stand comes pre-attached so I'm not sure if or how it comes off. Also, the correct picture is the one shown in the features section of the product page, not the one shown at the top of the page.If you sit very close to your monitors it might be a bit too big, but the size is fine for me since my desk has me sitting a ways back from my monitors. My unit does have 1 stuck pixel, but I decided it wasn't worth exchanging it since I live in Ontario and didn't want to wait for shipping again.Overall I'm very satisfied with this monitor and would highly recommend it.
