Functions excellent for what I have utilized it for. Affordable value, excellent for low price range builds. Lots of Bios updates for much better support on the CPUs (im operating v1804 from factory v1103). Has Phenom II X4 955 assistance (with bios update) but not the 965 CPU (still lets you load windows it just likes to remind you it doesnt help it when you turn it on, have to hit F1 to continue (or F2 if it says to load Bios is F1: mentioned this initial and now just says to push F1 to continue). The only difference in between the two is clock speed (according to the AMD employee I purchased this from). Bios update was a bit annoying to figure out (see other thoughts). Bios update utility doesn't perform on this mobo. How ever I have discovered you can download the ASUS (different applications) updater which also updates Bios, to get the best update even though you have to dl the file to your pc, run the updater, and pick update by means of file, then chose the file folder from exactly where you dl it to. Flash, reboot and carried out. This implies you dont have to download an immage and put it on a disk or stick and do it the old style way.

Fantastic specs on this motherboard for just โ.Running Windows 7 Ultimate ࿠-bit) with no difficulties or errors so far. None so far. Could use a couple much more slots for RAM. It only has two, but it's operating just fine with 4GB... for now, anyway.

Tiny, light, plenty of USB ports. Sata ports are nicely lined up on the side difficult drive side & uncomplicated to operate with. Comes with PS2 mouse & keyboard ports (for your budget clients/needs). Lots of capability packed into a small package! ***NOTE*** I was a little confused when I got it, as newegg and the Asus web site says it's AM3 compatible, but the box and documentation said AM2+ (nothing about AM3). If you're deciding upon AM3, the finest I can tell is that it will function, but may well not take full benefit of all the AM3 processor's capabilities. AM3 processor (AMD Athlon II X2 240 worked one hundred% fine)****** Recommend this board for just about any create. I have mine with an AMD Athlon II X2 240, 4gb DDR2 800 memory, and a ASUS EN8400GS Silent/P릘M GeForce 8400 GS for a spending budget light gaming personal computer for a client of mine, and its a dream!

It's low-cost and it posts. That's all I necessary and it delivered them each. As other people have stated you get an error "No TPC Found" on boot. It doesn't influence anything so it's a non-issue but nonetheless a bit silly from a trustworthy firm. I got this as component of a combo deal a whilst back. I lately threw it with each other with some spare components cannibalized from old machines and CentOS to make a small house server.

Employed this to rebuild a old Compaq with a asus board that had a lot of terrible cpu regulator capacitors. I saw that asus has upgraded the capacitors to the solid variety in this new board which ought to make it far more trusted. Reused old cpu and memory with no issues at all. If you have a massive graphics card you might have clearance issues and if you use a floppy drive the graphics card may well interfere with access to the connector on the board. Wonderful board for the money.

Affordable; worked out of the box no challenges. Manual directions clear adequate when installing into case and connecting cables. Old technology, but I knew this, and it's why it was a deal; no HDMI with the onboard graphics. Speedy boot screen, have to be ready to hit DEL important fast if you want to get into BIOS. Got specifically the board I was searching for standard HTPC: affordable, nothing at all fancy. Money saved on the combo this came with went to a Radeon 1GB 5450 card, and nonetheless it was a deal.

I'm operating it with Geil ram and it seems to agree with this board, (I've generally had very good luck with Geil)

Inexpensive, performs with older cpu's? I can't get it to boot from the CD/DVD drive in order to install windows. Also, I get error message on boot "can't detect the tpm device". Does not seem to be any AHCI help. I attempted to disable TPM in the BIOS but there is no setting for it. For the boot dilemma I have tried several distinct CD/DVD drives and none of them will boot. I quess I will have to do an RMA. This bit with the shipping is acquiring really old. And, this cheap MB just got far more costly. Can you say local supplier?

This is a replacement board and for โ it could not be better.ASUS quality and three year warrenty. Permitted me to use my ddr2 and get up and running inside 30 minutes cheaply. No bios upgrade required in my case. No troubles with placement of something. Comes with antique driver disc, but who cares? Windows 7 did it all. Thanks Newegg for bailing me out once again. And did I forget to mention the 24 hour delivery. It doesn't get any far better than this.

Great, complete-featured Board. Installation fine. ASUS shows on their help Site that this board will help Penom II X4 9850 [wi/bios update], which is why I ordered it. It does not!.....after looking by way of several Forums I found why not. This motherboard does not have native help for any processor beyond 95 Watts.

Asus general tends to make good items, I bam a technique builder and purchase most Asus motherboards. Be careful of the plastic cpu heatsink clips. I have been obtaining a few that break more than time. Greatest to attempt to get a mother board with three clips.

Comes with all the simple features you'd want for a normal DDR2 Pc at a decent price.Mine was open box, so I got it for affordable. When booting, it halts and says my CPU is not supported by this motherboard. It is a Phenom X4 9850, which is supposed to be supported because BIOS 0204, and it currently has BIOS 1402.I told the BIOS to not halt on the F1s to Continue. I nonetheless get the message, but it boots on to Windows. The Front Panel Connectors are located far from the Front Panel, obtaining you stretch the wires clumsily across the motherboard. Replaced a FOXCONN MB that blue screened for the duration of a BIOS update. :(This offered me a low-cost way to get an older DDR2 processor up and running.

Was in a position to preserve employing old AMD 6000+ and ddr2-800 ram a bit longer.Good board to run old gear a bit longer Boot up with "No TPC Found!" for an addon that was optional and never purchased got downright tiresome right after 1st day.Did not like new AMD 955 even following upgrading BIOS /sad( I did say Legacy, I was not listening, I would guess),񢒨 bus needed vs 1000 offered could have a thing to do with it, and it was nevertheless twice as quickly, woot) Truly ran the AMD 955 even soon after saying it was not supported!! Took five minutes to boot but...BIOS upgrading is so effortless with Asus, gotta luv em...

Have carried out hundreds of builds in my time... this is a very good microATX DDR2/AM2/AM3 board. came in AMD bundle for a excellent value... nevertheless does well and a cheap "intro" for some to AM3. built for a buddy... super inexpensive and he's SUPER happy! Not the most feature wealthy board in the globe, but in the combo it came in, a great value.

It's as simple to low-level gaming as they come!My Gigabyte motherboard goes up to 񢄂 O.C.) 16GB's, 4gb per slot, but just one particular PSǘ port. This motherboard has two PSǘ ports, two PCI, 1 PCIe x1 and 1 PCIe 2. x16, which makes this a "perfect" light-gaming motherboard & did I mention it has Nvidia based graphics?! The maximum memory (RAM) is false on the 8gb is a lie, I've noticed the maximum RAM as 4GB on Computers Plus, the model is the exact same, I'm not blind, Newegg needs to get their RAM details suitable, simply because the max. memory is seriously 4GB, not 8GB, this is my only criticism on this good solution!

Nice motherboard, with decent characteristics for a mATX mobo. Will not recognize 125w CPU's. * this excludes most Phenoms BE's* Doesn't mention this in any specs that I have observed right here on the box. This motherboard will self destruct if you leave a 125w cpu in the socket for extended periods of time (so I study on Asus forums).

Good Cost, excellent Motherboard, fast, really nicely organized specifically the SATA ports on the front all lined up incredibly neatly instead of crammed in the corner like most other mobos I've worked with. The CMOS on this mobo seemed a little outdated, haven't tried flashing it but I favor a menu with additional selections. Other than the CMOS, I liked this Mobo extremely considerably. I used it for a rig I built for a pal. And every little thing is operating smoothly. It was a wonderful motherboard for the budget. Highly Recommend!

Good board for the price. Make for a affordable upgrade. Had no issues loading drivers and runs as anticipated. For a Micro ATX the Front Panel Connectors are positioned far from the Front Panel, getting you stretch or splice the wires clumsily across the motherboard. The IDE connection is positioned suitable behind the SATA connection if you require to use each challenging to use SATA due to the fact of IDE cable.
