I picked this motherboard for my initially construct since it is future proof with its 2 PCIE X8 Slots, 4DIMMs, support for six-Core CPUs, 8-pin EPS connector, AM3, ect. It also supports Core Unlocker, MemOK (which I needed to use), Turbo V, SLI, and EPU. (Full list on ASUS site) Only four fan headers, only X8 bandwidth, no onboard video, no USB 3. or SATA three. Strong design and style, a lot of overclocking characteristics, unlocked 2 additional cores on phenom II 565 with just a press of key four at the load, and bam! quad core. Incredibly steady, totally zero BSDs. Adore it! ASUS>MSI all day extended! none Compared to MSI NF750-G55 this board rocks! Even although these have the very same nvidia chipset, it's way far more stable than MSI. I've produced a error getting MSI board which began providing headaches within less than a month, so I RMA'd it and got this a single as an alternative and incredibly happy, Thanks ASUS!

Wonderful searching motherboard, especially for the cost. Lots of cool capabilities, SLI and hybrid SLI with the Nforce chipset. I know SLI only runs in 8x but with 2 PNY 9800GTX+ cards I can run Crysis on extremely high settings all day long!Present setup: M4N75TD mobo, Phenom2x4 955 at standard clock speed, 2 PNY 9800GTX+ cards, 4x1GB Important Ballistix series ram cards(the ones with the LEDs), WD caviar Black HDD 500GB, Apevia mid tower case. only obtaining 3584mb of ram usable out of the 4096mb installed, I don't know if that is mainly because of the ram or the motherboard, I AM running 64bit windows 7 so it must be able to use all the ram but the minor quantity that isn't usable doesn't hurt even when playing games such as crysis and civilization 5 so I'm not going to blame the board.

AMD + SLI = Very good times....eventhough it's only 8x There is a list of supported RAM DIMMs that in my opinion, must have been posted on the world wide web. Verify it out on ASUS.com. First 1 was DoA, but I truly can't blame Newegg or ASUS. Anybody who regularly purchases laptop components knows what stuff like this just happens.

Excellent capabilities, simple install, ASUS tech is strong as usual, AMD AM3 processor amazingness, and nVidia chipset characteristics paired w/ SLI make this board a ought to have! Slightly disappointed in the SLI 8xǞx only mode limitation but that's observed on alot of boards at present still. Buy this board for confident if you're searching for an wonderful piece of hardware for a higher finish develop...it WILL NOT disappoint!

Supports SLi... when it operates Doesn't operate! The motherboard will POST Often, but most of the time I end up just staring at a blank screen. I've but to get it to POST on a lot more than 2GB of RAM, and even with only 1 stick it hardly ever operates. My corsair memory performs excellent in all other motherboards. Swapped out with another motherboard and low and behold no issues! Asus tech support is terrible. They get quite hostile swiftly, and refuse to acknowledge when a issue is theirs. The only factor Asus tech help is good for is referring you to other firms for support.

Fantastic board for SLI. This was a breeze to setup and the BIOS was already updated to the newest version. Running two 9800GTX+'s and games are Very smooth. Make certain you pair this with a Fantastic Tricore or Quad core to get the best functionality.I also upgraded to a Cor**r F60 SSD and WOW what a distinction! Games are virtually immediate load and the complete computer feels like it Need to. Only con I can think of is the lack of a PCI-express x4 slot. WIth all the PCI SSD's that are comming out.. that would have created this board the a single to beat! Fantastic shipping. Newegg eggsaver is the USPS.. but I went ahead and spent the 1.99 additional to do UPS 3 day. Basicly if you are seeking for a good SLI board and have an AMD proc.. this is the ideal out there.. the 9 series are slightly far better but WAY more pricey. Cheers!

It doesn't make substantially difference being in the case, but it does look cool. Expressgate is a really cool feature. Lots of extras like the core unlocker, SLI help, and turbo V. Pretty simple install and setup. Excellent cost for the attributes and top quality. It appears that Expressgate demands a wired LAN connection to completely function, it doesn't load the drivers for wireless cards. I didn't actually look into this though simply because I don't a lot care, I bought it for other factors. I utilized this in my first ground up make, and as but I have no complaints. I paired it with the Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition and all my games and programs fly. It does NOT have an onboard GPU in case you are like me and skim through specs and critiques. I don't consider this a poor issue, simply because it keeps the price tag lower, and typically onboard graphics are poop anyway. Just be prepared to purchase a graphics card if you don't already have a single. For 贄 I seriously don't believe you can do a lot far better. If you want a fantastic board at a fantastic price, this is it. ---Plus you don't have to spend out he nose for an awesome CPU to energy it.

Firstly Loads of O\C'ing possibilities, a lot more than i can use actually, and ive been O\Cing due to the fact my first pentium-75 rig! Unlocked my X3 720 BE chip with switch on M\B. operating at three.4 at 1.385 V. flawlessly havnt attempted pushing to anyhigher, yet. running 2 GTX 260 in SLI, DDR3 1333 memory posted 1st time up with new bios .good distance between wide cards for very good air flow and no heat concerns whatsoever. my personal stuborness, I resisted Asus M\B for years, tried all the rest and located each and every brand generally was missing somelittle factor that made me attempt a various brand. Asus i need to say has all the bells and whistles and significantly less quirks than any M\B brand ive utilized to dats. Asus driver flash tool is most productive and painless Bios update tool ive found so far. All my Equipment i use is from the CosmicEgg, im in NYC and most points ship from depot in NJ, overnight everytime at base rate rates. Guys lose that brownpaper wadding in packing and a little more care in cpu(oem) packing please. Otherwise i say once again All Hail the CosmicEGG! press that button get it you know you want it. no greater AMD\Nvidia AM3 M\B for the Jing!

Core unlocker seemed to have worked on my X3 720 BE. I have it operating at 955 speeds so far so great. May possibly have been fortunate with the cpu I had that it was in a position to unlock. Updated to most up-to-date bios right after a handful of random slow downs and extended win7 load instances (may have also been my memory issue). Heat sinks on board appear loose. Core unlocker is a excellent function and the only purpose why i bought it, was searching for a budget upgrade and did not want to purchase a new cpu. I was incredibly satisfied when the 4th core worked and created this purchase worth every single penny. Would have been upset if core was defective.

Good seeking motherboard love the layout, got my 550 unlocked to a quad :) accepted my A-Data 4GB kit 2x2GB, didn't have to reinstall vista, just plopped it in and vista took care of all the drivers :) the very first PCI-e slot was dead spent bout any hour trouble shooting till I figured it out, sending it back hope I get a board with each slots functioning, I run SLI so I kinda will need both slots!! Just operating 1 vid card blows....

Also has the added 8pin power plug for the new am3's.Good seeking heatsinks on the bridge and on the voltage regulators It's blue. I like green much more. Can't wait for the new PSU and use the software package to overclock the phenom II x965 quad core i got in it :)

SLI capable Positioning of PCI-e slots interfere with PCI slots. If your setup includes a bottom mounted power supply and 2 SLI video cards, the fan from the energy provide will blow straight on the 2nd video card causing it to overheat.Appears finicky about what RAM can be applied.Says it is 6 core ready but can only unlock four cores.Parts (SLI bridge, added USB ports, and so forth) were inexpensive or nonexistent compared to past ASUS boards. I've built five diverse PCs making use of ASUS motherboards. This technique is by far the worst one particular due to the fact it's the only a single that hasn't reliably worked because day 1. It keeps locking up after booting to linux. I will be applying for my RMA later on these days.

This is a great spending budget MB for gaming. Pared it up with a 3x 720BE and unlocked it to 4 cores at 3200ghz and a EVGA 460 Can play all my games at 50 to 60 fps Individuals who do not know what they are speaking about. See below Individuals please cease giving out wrong information. This is ccp from the Asus web web pageExpansion Slots 2 x PCIe two. x16 (dual at x8 mode) If you are utilizing 1 video card you are operating 16x speed not 8. If you do use dual cards all the key overview web-sites say the identical issue that you will not shed a lot overall performance operating at 8 as an alternative of 16.IMHO SLI is a joke!! 98% of the time it's more affordable to buy 1 highend card then 2 midrange cards

Great construction, no crooked components, normally solid and nice screw hole placement. Good layout for cooling and perfect compatibility with all parts I applied. Good BIOS capabilities offered also. Beats any big manufacturer's board hands down. Each fan hookup and everything is areas perfectly so I can't discover one particular single complaint about the layout. This board is Enormous! It doesn't look somewhat square in the picture simply because it's short, it's due to the fact it's exceptionally wide. I had a fairly medium sized ATX situation and this was about a quarter inch from touching the aluminum sides that would hold the 2nd DVD drive so there's no way one would have fit. Make positive you get an exceptionally substantial situation for this board! Came with a fashionable case badge!

straightforward to setup, as normal ASUS merchandise are prime notch. this is why only 2 eggs...Newegg site makes it look as if it is x16 if you only run one particular PCIe card, and even on ASUS internet site makes it sound like that.Nevertheless that is not the situation, when i got the mainboard & looked at the manual, there was an updated page in the front. it stated that Both PCIe slots are x8, no matter if you run A single card or 2. This is extremely disappointing to what is a really solid board & has lots of capabilities most overclockers want. mainboard should have been at least x16 for one particular card. And no, it is x8, i looked by nVidia's personal tools that are loaded when you set up the video driver and it shows it as x8.

1. Good style and layout for the 2 PCI-E x16 slots enabling space between the cards when operating SLI.2. Amount of USB headers on the board for upgrade room.three. Mem-ok button for when you have memory difficulties it saved me when i got the wrong memory. No case wiring header as was told comes with Asus boards no major deal lead to I know how to wire but it would have created an less complicated install.

Good mobo, attractive design and style. I like the blue =D DDR3, Core unlocker. Got my Phenom II 550 x2 to a x4 and it's wonderful. Not definitely much of a con but i bought mine open box and it didn't come with the installation disc :( so it's been confusing attempting to get on the world wide web without having working with my ethernet port >_< Other thoughts, get it. It's a fantastic mobo, I popped this child in, put in my new DDR3 ram. and unlocked each my cores. I employed to get a max of 50-60 frames in BFBC2, now im scoring 100+

Uncomplicated installation and setup, all hardware booted up just fine, alot far better than the SLi 550 chipset I had, much more alternatives, core unlocker is awsome! If you want a unexpensive gaming mobo, this is it. As of appropriate now, NONE! Applied the A-Data ddr3 1600 memory, AMD Athlon II X2 250, two nVidia GTX 260's in SLi, and a Corsair 750 watt ࿰+) powersupply & this thing rox! I had a SLi 550 chipset just before w/ AMD 6000+ X2 and ddr2 1066 (same graphix cards) and I scored 1788 pts larger in PCmark Vantage and 2133 in 3Dmark Vantage and the processor clocks are the very same, so the A2 X2's are cheap and more quickly than the AM2 processors!

This issue as bells and whistles up the wazzoo! Certain it works as a AM3 motherboard with SLI capabilities, but the BIOS alternatives you're given are amazing.Overclocking, a web-browser built into BIOS, Nvidia Hybrid SLI, Core-enhance, and on and on and on! Just a matter of configuring all these bells and whistles to a happy medium you can appreciate without blowing up anything at all.

Its a fantastic mother board, and performs well with my AMD AM3 Phenom II x4 955 CPU, DDR3 1600 RAM, Radeon 5850, and my HDD.It is an ASUS so you know it is of excellent good quality. Little post construct setup was necessary. I was mislead to think this was a 16x PCIe mobo with one particular slot. Some have said it is on ASUS's web page, it is not. If you go to their USA website it nonetheless has the identical specs newegg has on: 16x (dual ʈx). When I went to their Euro branch web page it mentioned the opposite. 8x regardless if you are working with one particular or two cards. Is this a Huge dilemma? From a efficiency standpoint, no. There is not a huge distinction in between 8x and 16x. From a customer trust standpoint, yes. In the future I will be Extremely wary of ASUS specs, even on their web site. I may well come across myself to be very disappointed, even if 8x is not a massive reduce. I expect ASUS to be greater than that when telling me what the specs are. Do not let this deter you from the board in common. It is a wonderful board and operates properly. I had no severe complications setting it up. One thing else noteworthy though, this is an ADM board and it has an AMD problem with RAM at times. Examine the BIOS and see if your RAM is operating at its advertised speed. I purchased 1600 RAM and it was operating at 1333 in the auto detect mode. This is solved easily by adjusting the setting in BIOS.I sent ASUS an email requesting they give me the true specs. It was a discomfort contacting them electronically.Over all: great board, excellent features, effortless to setup, just be conscious of the RAM problem. Even so from a consumer standpoint I am really disappointed with ASUS. I might look elsewhere in the future.
