Operates excellent for my SSD. Popped the drive in the dock and it slid proper on into my case without having any issue whatsoever. I will absolutely be making use of these in the future anytime I get a different 2.five" drive. None CoolerMaster HAF 932 case

Value is reasonable. It performs as advertised. Not difficult to set up/use. Inserting the drives requires two hands and the spring loaded clips are the only fasteners holding the drives in the bracket. Probably not a con since you want a snug fit but it is all I can assume of. There are some set screws that permit you to slide and clip the whole issue into the bay. The set screws aid guide the bracket into the bay. If you remove the set screws, you can safe the complete point with typical HDD/case screws. The kit also involves some coarse wood screws if you are also lazy to remove the set screws and nevertheless want it secured in location. I would obtain this again.

Installs simply with no tools.Fits 2 two.five" SSD's in an internal three.five" bay Using the no tool installation appears somewhat loose in my bay. The bracket won't come out of place but it wiggles a little, not a major concern. You can constantly screw it firmly into spot like you would any other 3.five" device 1 egg off for the loose design, but I could have effortlessly screw(e)d it in.Holding a Vital C300 64gb SSD

Fantastic high quality, easy to place 2.five drive in... no screws necessary. I purchased this to mount my 2.5 SSD in my 800D in the bottom drive bays, and the screwless drive mounts that come with the 800D for the reduce drive bays don't match the holes on this drive adapter... the rear holes extend beyond the reach of this adapter, so it was a no-go.

Hard plastic, rapid mount feature, and can hold two drives, it's does it's intended job excellent. The gold screws in the photo can be removed to make it a difficult mounted function as well, additional bonus for Icy Dock. And the value, phenomenal ! I could see immediately after time the quick mount function becoming flimsy but I hope the average user isn't pulling this in and out constantly, and these that do possibly wouldn't be making use of a solution like this.

Low value, effortless to figure out, holds two (two) 2.five" drives snugly. I like how simple it is to place in and take out basically by squeezing the back ends of this enclosure and pushing/pulling. I have two SSDs in mine, and they're snug, I have no worry of them coming out. None. Appropriate now, I can't feel of how the screws worked placing this into the three.five" bay, but I don't bear in mind it becoming tricky, either. Obtaining this in my Antec 1200 case was straightforward as pie.

Simple to use, lightweight material however feels sturdy. Not actually a con for the product, but doesn't match in the case I will need it to. The tension ears at the finish of the adapter avoid this case from reassembling. The case was Item #: N82E16856119018 I'm nevertheless seeking for 1 that is precisely the exact same length as the disk bay

Worked fantastic. I'm reusing notebook drives in my desktop. Fantastic way to extend use of two.five" drives. Not truly a con but when I pushed to plug in the power and SATA cables the drives popped out the back of the dock. Just use care and it works fine.

None Does not match a 80 GB VelociRaptor. Does not match XBlade case HD enclosure. If you can, get the measurements for this factor and evaluate it to your HD and enclosure just before you obtain it.

It is an interesting contraption. I did not consider one particular could screw up one thing that adapts a 2.five inch normal to a 3.5 inch regular. I was incorrect. This device tends to make a 2.5 inch drive the size of a 3.five inch drive without giving anything useful to mount the three.5 inch drive. My SSD remains mounted in this item, with the product simply suspended by its cables. The addition of 4 screw holes would make this unit compatible with 99% of 3.five drive mounting procedures. Avoid this solution.

SSD attaches very easily and as desired, when icy dock fits effectively into three.5-inch bay. Flexible, sturdy, protects drive and has adequate space for two of them if you so need. None that I could determine. Following sale cost, free of charge shipping, and manufacturer rebate I picked this up for under 5 bucks. I would have rated this 5 eggs no matter what though. I previously had my 60GB OCZ-Agility Series SSD rigged up to the inside of the five.25" portion at the front of my tower ahead of I located this good, low cost converter.

I purchased an ICY DOCK MB990SP-B dual two.5" holder and it is fantastic. Get a molex to two straight SATA power connectors adapter if you want to place 2 drives in this. You can use the SATA energy cable from your PS but it puts a lot of strain on the power plugs on the drives. I will in all probability hold this... A couple of also several moving parts. the end exactly where you slide the drives into pops loose if you are taking this in and out of regular tool-significantly less drive bays. The handles you squeeze to compress the caddy so you can slide it into the bay add length. Makes it difficult to get in and out in a standard mid size desktop case with the graphics card installed... Check out the Rosewill RX-C200P for a less costly option. I made a raid five from three - 160 gig WD laptop drives with 2 of those. uncomplicated! Small drive arrays are cool (literally) and use low energy. They can be rapidly also if you obtain the WD AV-25 or Seagate Hybrid drives. My raid five with WD Scorpio Blue 160 gig drives got a five.7 in Win 7 Pro.

Simplicity and ease of use. Can be utilized inside or in your front facing unused 3.5" floppy bay for hot swapping (Easy open swing doors). Open style enables the use of two.five" platter drives to be cooled. Although this version is not totally enclosed like their 1st single drive enclosure (designed for SSD), you still have some restrictions when it comes to platter drives. In my box my HD fan would hit the door side (but great for front three.five" bay hot swap). It's sad when persons place low scores becuase of the vendor or they didn't bother to measure for fitment or understand the fan air flow would be blocked (like their totally enclosed version produced for SSD) when working with a platter drive. SSD's don't want to be cooled!

Killer item that works perfectly with my 2x 500GB WD Black hard drives. Operating these drives in SATA and they are absolutely SILENT. The audible difference in between these and SSD would be apparent to dogs but not people. Saved a ton of income going this route. The dock is properly engineered, properly built and a excellent product. Couldn't be happier.I paired this with a five.25" bay converter with fan intakes for added cooling, and swapped the 40mm fans out for Scythe 19dB fans. Quite pleased with this setup. None whatsoever.

* Properly created - Strong construction, good components* Documentation is effortless to comply with and appropriate* No screws, secure adequate fit for a desktop or server * The 'tabs' stick out the back, which may be an concern in a really smaller situation. I didn't have any issues even though. I've just applied this to install put two 2.five" SSDs into a mini-ITX case that has only a single 3.5" drive bay. Slid in completely on the initially try, secure 'snap in'.
