Cons: cheap plastic barbs

Pros: Thick acrylicmultiple mount hardware included
Comment:
This is my third Swiftech reservoir of this genre, also owned previous iteration. The product is well designed for multiple G1/4 in and out and the acrylic is top quality. The mounting hardware included makes it very convenient to mount it almost any way possible.

Cons: somewhat difficult to mount

Pros: Great construction, nice to look at, came with rubber grommets to reduce vibration.
Comment:
Great product, I enjoy how it looks on my case. I use the top port for filling, I use the bottom for draining the reservoir. very clean looking, no rough edges, no cracks, no problems with spider cracks when tightening things down. The only slight problem I have is that I have to fill it up 3 times and top it off a few times, when I'm filling my system, so I could be a bit larger. On the other hand it is completely versatile in its placement, so that was likely why its a bit smaller. Completely worth it for the price!

When this arrived in the mail I was blown away at how much stuff was included. This product is of tremendous value.-The mounting options are amazing.-The acrylic used is robust, and is crystal clear when filled with distilled water.-Bracket allows for vertical, horizontal, and pivoted mounting angles.Hands down Swiftech has a winner with this item, I cannot praise it enough.

Cons: maybe too small for some people?

Pros: QUALITY!!!!Just the right size.Metal plugs.Works with various flow directions.Fancy mounting brackets included.
Comment:
I was VERY surprised by this reservoire. I cannot believe the quality considering the price. I've gone through 2 other reservoires which were $50 each and the quality is not comparable. One of the coolest features with this one is the support for multiple flow directions. I have the reservoire set directly above my pump so that I can use the hole on the bottom. Also, the plugs are of very high quality. I had problems with previous radiator plugs since they have always been made of plastic. Finally, this reservoire also comes with an elaborate mounting system with brackets and screws and velcro etc. VERY VERY GOOD!~!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Cons: Should have had one smaller barb size and clamps. Should have included teflon tape. Could use better installation options.

Pros: Price, appearance, performance
Comment:
Here is my installation of this unit:http://images.ncix.com/forumimages/1914D800-30D1-4321-841EB8A5BA364D2A.jpgI didn't follow the directions for installing this guy because it didn't suit my purposes. My approach to it allows the unit to be lifted up and out of the case without any parts needing to be unscrewed.I had to buy teflon tape to prevent leaking. It should have been included. I also had to buy smaller barbs for my smaller tubing, but that is somewhat to be expected.

Cons: bubbles can get sucked back into the loop, inlet/oulet close together

Pros: nice lookseasy to installmany ways to mountinexpensive
Comment:
This is a nice looking res that has a multitude of mounting methods. Can fit pretty much anywhere inside your case. Much nicer than earlier revision that didn't have a hole in the anti-turbulence plank (bubbles won't get trapped) and an extra bottom port. Comes with brackets for mounting. I have it installed in the drive bays in my P182 case. The rubber washers that come with it are too thick to fit which can cause those plastic mounting notches to snap. I had a few washers lying around that were a bit thinner so I used those and they fit perfectly. If you have a high flow pump, it can be a little tricky to bleed because bubbles can easily get sucked back in as the outlet port is close to the inlet. You'll have to turn on and off the pump repeatedly during the bleeding process. Bitspower fittings works great with this. This review was modfied by poster @ 03-26-10 08:23 PM

Cons: - threads on the supplied plastic fittings are too long. Read summary. - rubber washers are too thick.

Pros: inexpensive, fully equipped.
Comment:
I've purchased quite a few different items from Swiftech's product line and have grown accustomed to it being a hit or miss experience. But considering their relative affordability, I continue to buy their products, hoping it will be a hit this time around. This reservoir is a hit but does come with some annoyances. The first one comes during the assembly. You are required to insert  rubber washers between the reservoir and the mounting U brackets. That sounds simple enough. Yet the rubber washers supplied are WAY too thick to fit in between.Like ridiculously too thick. So much so that I had to use a razor blade and slice them in half. The second annoyance is with the supplied plastic fittings. The threads are too long. I first noticed that when I screwed them on the reservoir but didn't think much of it initially. I put one of them on the bottom port. The annoyance kicks in when you go to drain your loop. Because the thread stick out like a full cm above the bottom of the reservoir, it doesn't get fully drained. In the end I replaced those fittings with chrome Bitspower ones as the thread is the right height. I also could have simply cut the plastic ones to the proper length but at that point I just had my fill of drilling and cutting and what not......

Cons: top fill cap is a total pain in the neck to get off. filling is hard as well.

Pros: Very compact, easy to see fluid levels, comes with mounting hardware.
Comment:
super compact could even use in lanbox pcsits just so hard to fill because of that stupid cap.comes with lots of different barb sizes.i recommend putting Teflon tape on the threads because mine leaked a little.

Cons: -Compression fittings with this is a nightmare (read summary)

Pros: -4 G1/4 ports-Multiple mounting options
Comment:
I bought this for my first venture into water cooling. Unfortunately, the ports on the front (with barbs shown in picture) are too close for me to use 1/2 ID 3/4 OD compression fittings on. The top and bottom ports are for some reason recessed so that they won't fit there either without an extension or something. Swiftech supplies custom barbs for these ports, but that seems like a quick cash grab to me. Ended up using a compression fitting on the upper side port and one of the supplied barbs and a hose clamp for the lower one.

Cons: You cant fit compression fittings on the top or bottom port without using an extension or a 45. The 2 side ports are too close together to use 3/4 comp fittings in both.

Pros: Big improvement over the V1.Bottom port can be very useful.G1/4 fill port is handy too.Included brackets look nice.
Comment:
A very nice improvement over the old one. This is the best res out there for functionality IMO. The bottom port is great for tall cases where the res is directly above the pump. The G1/4 top port is handy for running a tube up to a fillport if your res is not easy to access and fill.

Cons: -Could come with some metal barbs instead of that plastic junk.

Pros: -Perfect number of threaded holes to give excellent flexibility.-Same durable quality & mounting hardware.
Comment:
This is a major step above the previous MCRes, there's enough threaded holes to run multiple loops through this with ease. The mounting hasn't changed much which isn't bad since it was always pretty acceptable.I only wish that Swiftech would supply a couple of metallic barbs instead of those plastic ones- though to be fair a lot of us guys have them laying around anyway.

Cons: Again, the mounting hardware could use some work

Pros: Even better than the original, better quality and better hose routing
Comment:
This is a much better design than the original. My pump is directly below my res and now I can have the hose go straight down with no bends. Metal caps instead of plastic and much more durable and don't get stripped so easily. Having the option to connect G1/4 barbs to the holes on top and bottom is great. I would say that Swiftech has been listening to peoples complaints and impoved on their product with the user in mind!
