Cons: keyboard labels are stickers, "f" keys need extra lock key first

Pros: wireless, comfortable, good build quality, 1 dongle, lots of special use keys
Comment:
So far I found build quality to be reasonably good.Main reason for purchase was for general web use and wireless convenience & short term/ occasional gaming (although have a wired KB for that).Mouse: can use with either hand, good size (i have large hands), side buttons took a bit of time to get used too as smaller than on my old Logitech. Wireless. Bluetec for multi-surface tracking - which works well. Con: very smooth scroll - not even subtle click (so not as good for game use).KB: key action is reasonably quiet & some design/ build quality thoughts such as keys have subtle slope/ angle, many special function keys. Con is that labels are 'stickers' - obviously no wear yet. "f" keys are secondary so need to push lock key first. (Might take getting used to).

Cons: Slippery palm wrests. No rubber on keyboard riser legs.

Pros: Stylish, quality keys, loads of shortcut buttons
Comment:
Bought this on line. I wouldn't have purchased if I could have tested first. Mouse is not responsive if dongle is placed on rear of my PC only about 2 feet away. Keyboard keys are nice and quiet, but the palm support is very slippery. Legs on keyboard don't have rubber when up, so keyboard slides. Mouse is a good size and works well if dongle is placed on front USB.

Cons: No backlit keysMousewheel

Pros: Good wireless rangeUsable keyboard and mouse
Comment:
This is NOT a gaming combo. If you buy this for gaming, you need your head checked. Both the keyboard and mouse will never be responsive enough for your gaming needs. This is primarily a wireless media or HTPC combo. Having that said, it is sufficient for use with games that don't mind input latency, mainly MMOs.Keyboard... Only the newest wireless combos are starting to get backlit keys. If you don't install any of the keyboard/mouse software that comes with the combo, the far left column of keys have no function; the top left row of four keys will open the default programs on your system (mail client, browser, etc.). Media keys (play, previous, next, stop, volume up/down, mute) work as is. Calculator button ontop of the numpad opens the windows calculator. To have the F1-12 buttons work like all other keyboards you need to press the blue F-Lock button once. It is very usable - just don't expect to have the features of such high-end boards as diNovo.Mouse... there is one big problem with the mouse, and unfortunately it's shared amongst many other mice from Microsoft: the mousewheel is nowhere as accurate as those that give noticeable "clicks" as you scroll. In some programs, scrolling up on the mousewheel does not necessarily make the viewing area within the program to scroll up. It's annoying. The rest of the mouse works as you'd expect.Both... Good, usable range and battery life on both. The usual RF device restrictions apply (won't work too far from receiver, keep it free from obstructions, etc.).If you insist on gaming with this combo, use a wired mouse along with the keyboard. In practice I have no lag issues with such a setup.

Cons: Mouse and keyboard are both big and heavy. Made by MS for MS software products.

Pros: Solid build. Blue track works well. Good RF range. Made by MS for MS software products.
Comment:
I purchased this combo due to a favourable web review that said it was better value than competing products. It's slightly cheaper, but its value is questionable unless you like relabeled/mislabeled keys in the wrong places and a big clunky mouse that doesn't work correctly. The wheel either skips and does nothing or registers twice, making it impossible to scroll accurately. The function keys have all been relabeled for MS software, are too small and have been offset compared to standard keyboards which makes them difficult to find. Overall, this is an terrible product compared to the competition. There is much more usable stuff available for less money and much better stuff if you don't mind paying a premium for a really good keyboard and mouse.

Cons: No spacing between F keys, ambidextrous mouse less comfortable than righty one ones

Pros: Good range, nice looking, excellent battery life
Comment:
An excellent set for a great price - lots of function buttons on the keyboard, excellent little buttons on either side of mouse to act as back/forward buttons in Firefox.Only problem is that the multifunction F keys are not spaced apart, are smaller and don't protrude as much. Not quite used to them yet and I still have to look before hitting the keys.

Cons: Keyboard F keys

Pros: WirelessBlueTrackBattery Life
Comment:
Got this combo in replacement of a Logitech S510, for the price this is a better bang for the buck. This combo is very conformable and very good performer. The battery lasts very long and the wireless range and signal is very reliable. This review was modfied by poster @ 03-16-10 06:02 PM
