Cons: Very little room for the slim blueray. For some builds with low profile CPU cooler it may fit in OK. Forget about installing a 3.5 inch drive, use 2.5 drives only. The large ventilation grills allow fan noise to escape, so think very carefully about what goes inside if used as a silent HTPC.
Pros: Small size. Well ventilated. USB 3.0 ports on side of case. Sturdy construction. No sharp edges. Looks great as an HTPC. |
I love this case, but if used for an HTPC, make sure you use silent case fans and CPU cooler. You probably will have trouble fitting in a slim blueray drive, so check CPU cooler heights before going down that path. Use only 2.5" drives, a 3.5" drive is very unlikely to fit in although theoretically possible. I have no real complaints and recommend this case. The listed cons relate to this being a slim case not designed for regular sized components. I recommend you use low powered small devices only, otherwise noise levels for cooling, and space limitations may be too much for an HTPC build.
