Plugs into a common 4 pin molex connector on your power provide. I purchased three. Every single a single of them has at least 1 LED that is out, one particular strip has 4 LED's that are out right out of the box. An additional strip has 1 LED that works, but flickers on & off from time to time which tends to make the complete case 'flash' like lightning (I ordered blue). I feel these are extremely cheaply made and not truly worth the hassle of returning. YMMV Simply because every single 1 of them has at least a single dilemma I am rating them 1 star since this seems to be a substantial top quality manage difficulty. Turns on and off with the laptop due to the fact it's wired into the energy provide, it doesn't have a energy supply or on/off switch or brightness adjustment of its own. Of course you could wire this up other strategies, it's made to run on 12V DC.Did somebody truly complain about the velcro? |

Fantastic deal of lighting up case. I have just 1 installed and it provides off a good hue of blue throughout the case completely. The velcro kind of sucks. Use some very good good quality velcro like that produced from 3M or any other brand discovered at regional retailers like walgreens, CVS, Property Depot., or anywhere else you feel might sell . Want is came with it's personal switch to turn on/off, but it's still worth the purchase. |

Truly brightens up the case allowing you to see your components. Easy to install. Only one set of installation velcro. If you want to move the bar later for cleaning or what ever, the velcro may not be as secure as it was when you initial utilised it. Not massive deal although. Newegg is awesomeness to the tenth power. |

-truly affordable-rather vibrant-no LEDs burned out yet-cool, not adding practically any additional heat to my situation (thats the LEDs)-lights practically the full length of the stick -molex connector isnt passthrough (i.e. a single side is male, other female)-velcro is terrible, use your personal supplies to affix to case-wiring is questionable (solder joints inside as well as case cabling In addition to the negative velcro and low-cost wiring job [hasn't fried yet], rather very good purchase to add light to your case. I utilized to have to use a flashlight to see inside my situation even though clearing dust, now i do it with the fans on (expells the dust out instead of sinking to the bottom once again) and i can see what im carrying out. with a side window, it tends to make the laptop truly eye-catching. |

Really brightens up your case permitting you to see your elements. Price tag! Only 1 set of velcro. Not a biggie but it would be nice to have the solution of moving this bar about and employing new velcro. The stickem' on the velcro is only good for 1 time use. The moment you peel it off, it is not genuinely secure utilizing it. Newegg is amazing! |

-Vibrant-Easy to install-Fills a situation with light. -its leds, so at some point the strip will be useless following about a day of use, a single of the leds will randomly turn off for a couple of minutes and come back on. Not a major deal truly, but I'm sure its on the way out. I recommend if you want to get this to final lengthy, hook it to a toggle switch. |

They work as advertised. I have 4 of them placed about the window in the side of my situation, highlighting fairly considerably almost everything. As well much light can reveal the dust in a situation. This can be very good in that it reminds you to clean the situation or negative in that it doesn't appear very as cool when it's all dusty. I broke the plastic housings off mine to get them to fit into the situation better. |

Careful when looking at these LEDs, they are so bright you will be seeing spots. |

Purchased 2 of these on March and by now, only 6/18 leds on each stick is working.I know the led themselves are still ok but the peanut shaped resistor is the low quality problem. If any of you guys know your circuitry, this is an easy fix. Other than that just go with cold cathodes as they last longer since it has an actual switch you can turn on/off. |

This LED acrylic tube light up my Antec 902 very brightly with its blue LED. Since this tube doesn't require an inverter, the installation is pretty much a no brainer as it connects to a 4-pin molex power connector. I price-match this product for $5. |

Very bright and will light up a case well. I bought the "duals" for my computer (which were only $4 more) and I would suggest that product as they come with a pattern generator, and you get 2 rods instead of the one.I don't plan on using this in my computer, however, I Think this will be perfect for lighting up the inside of my car when driving at night (plan on placing it under my seat to illuminate the floor). |

Pros: No Inverter, Can be controlled by a fan controller Comment:
These provide a low voltage alternative to using a cold cathode, and there is no inverter to have to place and hide. They give off a decent amount of light but unlike a cold cathode it is more uni-directional so placement of the tube is a little more tricky. Another bonus is that these can be controlled to give a variable brightness through the use of a simple rheostat style fan controller, to either have them on, off, or somewhere in between. There is more than enough attached power cable for these to be placed easily anywhere inside a case, or could be used to illuminate a desk, or keyboard. |
