Cons: Needs more high current outlets. Pricey unless on sale.

Pros: Well built. Improves audio system performance.
Comment:
I bought this on faith not knowing if it would be worthwhile. But the price was right and I couldn't find any negative reports for the device on the Internet. The first thing I noticed is that it's built like a tank and the power cable is heavy and almost as thick as a garden hose. this thing exudes high quality. There are ten AC outlets on the back grouped by output function - high power, digital, video, receiver, spare, coax. Only two outlet are designed for high current devices - I'd like to see a couple more. Green LEDs next to each outlet light up to tell you all is OK. There's three pairs of coax connectors too on the back too. There's also a series of switches on the back that control power up delays to the different outlets, so, for example, when you hit the main power switch on the conditioner, power is applied first to your preamp then there's a delay before power is applied to a power amplifier. Nice. The front panel is dominated by a red LED display that shows line voltage and current draw. The brightness is adjustable. To the left of the red LED display are a series of green LEDs that monitor for abnormal conditions, and a single blue 'clean power on' LED. To the right of the LED display are four knobs and push buttons that control display brightness, turn power on and off to the rear AC outlets, and one that works with a remote control function that I don't use.I bought it for the price and what Monster says it can do - improve the performance of a home entertainment system. I can say that it definitely improves the sound quality of my audio system. The first thing I noticed was the improvement in the bass. It's much more extended and natural, almost like adding a subwoofer. In fact when using the Monster power conditioner the entire audio spectrum is less gritty and more defined. It does what the manufacturer claims. I haven't tried it with my HT projector yet but I wouldn't be surprised to see a significant improvement in the picture quality.I don't think I would buy this at the regular price of $1000, but for the sale price of $350 it's a bargain. And it works.
