Cons: If you want to upgrade your NH D14 with this PWM fan be aware that the mounting clips are incompatible with the 120mm hole spacing on the NF-A15 and you will need to contact Noctua for replacement clips.
Pros: PWM fan that moves a surprising amount of air and is very quiet. Noctua's prices are very reasonable for such premium fans and they look like chocolate icing donuts. Check the dimensions and if the NF-A15 is compatible with your heatsink you should buy it. |

Cons: Mounting clip of the Noctua NHD-14 don't work with this fan, i had to use zip tie to install it. And as usual with Noctua fan, it's ugly.

i want to install PWM fans on my Noctua NHD-14, and what can be best than Noctua own PWM fan, and there is not a lot of 140mm PWM fans out there right now.As a performance stand point it's perfect, but i was disappointed to see that he original heat sink mounting clip was unusable This review was modfied by poster @ 05-27-13 03:00 PM |
It would have been nice to have NH D14 compatible mounting clips included in the box however it is clear that this fan was designed for general compatibility with many brands of heatsinks, and the NH D14 even without PWM control is perfect as is for most users. I contacted Noctua for the replacement clips and received them seven business days later.
