Cons: Not enough power to supply external 2.5" hard drives. Cables become a mess when connecting all ports

Pros: Look is funky.
Comment:
It works and "does the job". However, your cables will be a mess without any real way for strapping them in a bundle... and the big one, you will not be able to power any external 2.5" hard drives with this hub.

Pros: -Tons of ports-Cheap-Powered
Comment:
I got this to power a webcam that is sitting across the room, and wasn't getting enough power through a long USB cable. So far it's working perfect. It's been operational for a month or so - who knows how long it'll last? Hubs seem to have very short lifespans. For the price, who can complain? At the time of purchase this was cheaper than the cheapest 4-port powered hub.

Cons: Rarely detects devices

Pros: Cheap price
Comment:
External hard drives and even memory card readers don't seem to register. Even if they do, interacting with files could result in losing connection. Do NOT recommend.

Cons: bright blue lighting effectshort built in-usb cable

Pros: lots of portsseems well made
Comment:
This is a nice hub actually. It's got a lot of ports and yet remains relatively compact. It seems fairly well made, but I haven't exactly thrown it across a room yet. Everything I've plugged in has worked perfectly, including a webcam, a scanner, USB memory sticks, a USB optical drive, and an external harddrive. All at the same time even just for fun, and it worked perfectly. My only real negative is the cord is attached permanently and is fairly short. I had to use a USB extension cord, but that was because I want the hub fairly far away from the computer. If you're right next to the system you'll be fine. And this may be a negative or a positive: it has a blue light on it that in a dark room shines off the walls and ceiling, outlining the nGear logo. So I see the word NGear on my ceiling as I'm falling asleep...not the best thing in the world, but for those who light lights, I guess it's cool.

Cons: Super bright blue LED that shines the logo. USB cable is short and directly connected (not plugged in)

Pros: 10 Ports, low cost, external power connector
Comment:
This seems like a good little USB2 hub. I had been looking for one for a while because all my ports were being used and I had to resort to unplugging stuff to use other things which can be annoying. There are a few things that could be different. An on/off switch for the blindingly bright LED on the top, though that can be covered with duct tape or in my case a piece of paper folded in 4 does the trick. It would be nice if the USB cable could be plugged into the back of the hub so that you could replace the 2 foot cable with a longer one and put it anywhere you want. Though an A male to A female extension does just fine. But if anything happens to that cable you pretty much have to replace the whole unit.I'm happy with the unit.

Cons: -The blue LED light is too intense.-Outer shell is thin plastic.-Power transformer (plug side) is quite large.

Pros: Ten USB 2.0 Ports; 'nuff said.
Comment:
A very simple 10-port USB 2.0 hub that does require external power to medium-duty USb items (like a multi-card reader). As mentioned in other reviews, the blue LED is intense enough to cast  a logo on a ceiling. The low-budget solution is a strip of duct tape over the top of the unit; the logo will still shine through but will be diffused enough not to cast  a glow on the ceiling. Still load testing.

Cons: Kinda cheap plastic.

Pros: 10 ports, sleek looking.
Comment:
This was kinda cheap, not too expansive, for a ten port hub. If you have many usb gadgets lying around, like me (lamps, neons, hdd, etc...), than this hub is for you. Works good, no problem with the unit. Enough power to go around.

Cons: Flimsy, LED is annoying

Pros: 10 powered ports, wow!
Comment:
I thought this was a joke when I ordered it on special. 10 ports for 10 bucks?? Wow, that's 1$ a port! And on top of that POWERED?? Now that's a bargain! Problem is: Plastic housing is SUPER CHEAP, plastic piece broke off inside the unit before I even got it. Still works like a charm, but wouldn't buy again.

Cons: - Wires end up more cluttered as the ports surround hub instead of being on one side.

Pros: - 10 USB ports- Externally powered
Comment:
Had too many USB devices and not enough ports on my computer. This hub fit the bill. No problems found with it so far.

Cons: slippery base, blue LED beams "nGear" on ceiling at night

Pros: 10 powered ports, looks sleek
Comment:
Offers 10 powered ports and looks sleek on the desk. The blue LED is annoying tho, I see no reason why I need the words "nGear 10 PORTS HUB" beamed onto my ceiling at night when the computer is asleep or off.... I'll likely end up cracking it open and removing the LED at some point, but I shouldn't have to...In addition, the bottom surface is smooth, and the thing slides like hell on my desk. One shouldn't have to firmly press the unit down to plug something in. Needs those little rubber feet that almost everything else has, or some tape in a pinch. Cons: Built-in USB cord shouldn't be there

Pros: Price, performance, appearance, utility
Comment:
The only thing I don't like about this unit is that the built-in cord is flimsy and not really that long. There should have jsut been an attachment to have a standard USB cord be able to connect.

Cons: Poorly constructed case.

Pros: Lots of ports and a pretty blue light.
Comment:
I bought two of these and both were in pieces when I received them. The problem was not shipping ... it is a poor design in how the case parts are joined ... small screws and brittle plastic don't mix. However, given the sale price I just glued the pieces back together and they are both working just fine.

Cons: None.(Cable could be longer)

Pros: Sturdy design10 port hub for only $10.
Comment:
Compared to other hubs I've purchased, this one does the job without any problems. If you plan to use this in your bedroom though, and you leave your computer on... it would be a good idea to cover the top, lest you want to read messages on your ceiling coming from its in-built light.
