Cons: -Windows 7 32BIT-No dedicated buttons for sound-shows some finger prints-left shift key is too small (making room for extra language keys)-Enter button is too far right-Battery life a little low.

Overall, a great laptop. The keyboard is nice to type on, despite the funny location of some of the buttons. The screen is nice and bright with decent colours. The screen is a bit reflective but not bad. I found I had to manually adjust the colours from stock though. I would prefer a 16:10 screen vs. a 16:9 which is featured in this model. There are also a few nice features in this such as eSata and usb charging while turned off. The machine runs quite quiet and doesn't prodcue to much heat. Although I haven't played any games on it yet. The i5 is nice and snappy though. As for the bad, coming loaded with the 32bit version on win7 kind of sucks. I'm lucky that I have a free version of windows 7 64bit that was available to me. Also the battery life could be a bit longer. I would almost prefer a larger battery just to get a bit longer life. A very good laptop with a sleek look at a great value. This thing kicks butt compared to the similar HP laptop that blew up on me. |

Cons: comes loaded with 32bit win7? WTF. Wasted 1 gig of ram doing this?? Please help me understand this logic.

Nice compact sleek unit. Plays games with punch! It has good cooling, throttling the cpu up and down is a breeze like my last Asus F3sv. Icore i5 is tonnes of speed for what I'm using it for. DVD's look great using Powerdvd 9.Screen is high quality. Perfect size for my trip to Asia next month. I'll be loading up a ton of games for the flights. Nice job Samsung. |
Re-install Windows to 64-bit and this laptop runs FAST.It can easily get 7300 3DMARK06 scores on the GT 330M videocard. The laptop can run GTA4 on HIGH no problems, along with L4D2. Also can run Crysis Warhead in 1366*768 mainsteam mode at 30FPS+. This laptop runs very smoothly, make sure you update the drivers. The ones provided on the Samsung website is not fully up-to-date so besure to check around for the latest ones. Pictures cannot do justice for this beautiful laptop. It is red wine but fades to black. Very classy and elegant... I've owned many netbooks + Dell laptops and I have to say this is one of the BEST by far. It is very light and it gets the job done. For $1000.00 WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT? Bang for the buck, you cannot get a better laptop with an i5 processor. The i5 beats EVERY laptop processor in the market currently.
