Cons: -Touch pad doesn't support ALL of the gestures.-Unit gets quite warm when gaming, propping up the back of it with something to let more air circulate seems to help. -The backlit keyboard is nice, but its not just the letters that light up, there is a lot of light that bleeds around the edges of the keys, its a little more intrusive feeling at certain angles then some other backlit keyboards.-No hardware indicator lights for numlock, capslock, wireless, bluetooth, etc.

Pros: -Well designed, feels nice to use.-Excellent keyboard layout, has a second backslash key placed for the left hand and also a full number pad.-Nice touch pad, supports gestures.-Plays games well, tested on boarderlands 2 and guild wars 2 and was able to play a medium-high settings at the monitors native resolution with 50-60fps.-Extremely fast boot.-Backlit keyboard is nice.-Operates fairly quietly and cool when not gaming.
Comment:
All in all an excellent notebook, some might dislike the 1366x768 native resolution on a 15.6 display. I personally do not mind it.It is a very quick system, the SSD is very helpful in this regard, wireless and bluetooth functionality seems good. CPU/HDD/RAM intensive things like multithreaded heavy i/o applications and VMs seem to be no problem for this unit to handle.Gaming performance is good, Guild Wars 2 and Borderlands 2 both run quite smoothly on it, getting 40+ FPS at all times when using moderate to high settings at the native resolution. The biggest impact on performance was turning up the nvidia physx effects in Borderlands 2, turning them to medium or high caused substantial framerate drops. The unit gets quite warm in specific places when gaming for a long time, increasing the amount of air between the laptop and the surface on which it rests helps this problem significantly. The keyboard feels nice and the key placement is great, there is a second backslash key on the left hand that makes this keyboard excellent for programming, or working in a linux shell. The full numberpad is also great. The backlit keyboard is very nice, but the light bleeds out from the edges of the keys, and is sometimes very bright when seen from certain angles, its a little more intrusive then the back lighting on some other notebooks. The touchpad is nice, it supports many gestures with the provided drivers, but not all of the most common ones, 3rd party drivers are available for Linux that remedy this, perhaps there is a viable solution for windows as well. One of the only annoyances I have with the notebook is that there is no LED or anything to show you when numlock or capslock is on, so you need to guess if it is or not.One thing to note is that all of the connectors are on the back, under the monitor. There is 3 USB connectors, 1 HDMI, and one ethernet. There is an audio jack and sd card reader on the right side, and a dvd drive on the left. The power button and the power indicator LED are on the front, and while I was getting used to it, I did hit it once by mistake, but have not since. All in all, great laptop.
