80 Plus GoldGives plenty of powerfive year warranty Not genuinely created for bottom mounting in a complete tower situation.Cable management not what I expected provided the modular design.I ought to have accomplished a little far more research before getting this PSU. It actually isn't designed for a total tower bottom mounting scenario with clean cable management in thoughts. The 24 pin power and the eight pin CPU energy cables are not lengthy adequate and have to be routed over the top of my video cards. The SATA and MOLEX energy cables only have three connectors on every cable. So just for my 4 SATA HDD, I have to run 2 cables, and one more cable for my two disc drives. On best of that I have to run yet another MOLEX cable for my case fans. These SATA and MOLEX cables are lots extended adequate, just not enough connectors on each cable. I have to give this PSU 3 stars for the 80 Plus Gold and surely the 5 year warranty. If they had created the CPU energy cables and the 24 Pin energy cable longer for suitable cable management in a total tower case with a bottom mounted PSU as nicely as place four connectors on each SATA and MOLEX cable, this would have been 5 stars. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry that the cables were not really the length you necessary. Bottom mounted PSU's are not a normal ATX design, and can demand longer cables dependent on the size of your case. A PSU that operates nicely in bottom mount full tower could be a problem in a major mounted case due to the cable length. We attempt to strike a balance. Thank you

Cons: Power whine at idle and at loadCables reached, but some were a little short (raven evolution case)

Pros: Fully modular – more convenient than expectedQuietLots of cables Looks great
Comment:
I received this power supply as a replacement (RMA) for my 1000W z-series that failed just after a year. It has been in the case for a few hours, and runs quiet as expected – the PSU does have some minor whine (at idle and load). OCZ’s RMA process is fairly simple, however the ‘power swap’ warranty requires that OCZ charge your credit card in full for the suggested retail price. Upon receiving the defective package (mailed at your own cost) they will refund the cost of the power supply. Or you could send your power supply in for warranty and wait up to 3 weeks for a new one to be shipped. I was lucky enough to live within two hours of the Ontario Warehouse (in Markham) and drove to exchange my PSU. They did not have any z-series and replaced it with a zx series. As with all warranties – you need to read the fine print.

Cons: metal fan cover stuck out making it slightly more difficult to install, had to apply about 5 pounds of pressure with my finger in order to put the thumb screws in... that is the only con I can gather from this so far.

Pros: Quiet, doesnt 'scream' on heavy load, more than enough power to keep me going for awhile.
Comment:
Very easy wire managment, more than enough "extra" cables to do as I please.I have not heard the fan going, I'm tempted to shove something into it to see if the fan works as it's that quiet.Got it on sale, with additional discount for buying with something else and a rebate to boot. Well worth it.

Pros: Highly efficient (80plus Gold)Modular design

Bought this for $149 that came with a $20 MIR. Has all the power necessary for a triple SLI/crossfire configuration if needed.

Cons: no MOV (Metal-Oxide Varistor) in the filtering stage

Pros: cables, fan noise is very low, easy to install

The mov protects against incomeing voltage spikes. Cheap psu's don't have one. Plug you computer into a surge protector.

Cons: Semi-Modular

Pros: It gives 83 A (enough for SLI)
Comment:
I got this PSU for 60% off during boxing week sale. It was a great deal however, it is "semi-modular". What I mean is that all the necessary cables needed are not modular however, you can add more 8 pin, 6 pin, 4 pin molex cables etc. (I'd assume this is why they put the PSU as modular) But I can't complain with the price I was given for the PSU. Works perfectly with my rig.

Cons: None

Pros: Quiet, so far reliable PSU
Comment:
This PSU runs very quietly. The modular cables were very easy to install, and the mesh loom on them helped keep them tidy. The reviews I've read on this PS were positive and I got a very good deal on it ($134.99). I'd heartily recommend this PS, though perhaps try to catch it on sale.

Cons: Maybe more discounted promotions?

Pros: Amazing PSU! Modular and powerful. Comes in a wicked packaging which includes a dust bag! No idea why it needs a dust bag but it's a total win! Great performance!~ Plugged it in and works perfectly! Low heat as well!
Comment:
I got this for $139 after Mail in Rebate. It was a sweet promo and I took advantage of it right when I saw it. My pc was 4 years old so I figured it's about time to replace the old OCZ gaming series 600W psu and this one was the perfect choice. Great for future upgrades as well (ie crossfixe or sli).If the promotion was still going on, I would definitely buy a few more and sell it for a bit of profit! I totally recommend this to any gaming rigs!

Comment:
One of the best for high quality SLI/Crossfire builds. Clean appear, quiet fan, modular (a ought to for DYI builds), sleeving is high good quality and very versatile and single rail is excellent. Nonetheless... The principal cables are brief. If you have a huge case (HAF X, 800D, ect) then you will Need to have extensions for 24pin Ƒ), 8pin to Mobo ƒ), and maybe 8pin gpu cords Ɩ, if in sli/crossfire). Most full situations come with 8 pin extensions but if you dont want to acquire a 24 pin extension, you will have to face the fan down to reach the 24pin conector on you mobo. Peripheral cables can be a chore to squeeze into you connectors so a gentile touch is necessary for those, sata'sྫྷ) are fine. Anybody know when ꫦW PSU manufactures are going to stop producing main connectors 20Ʋ?? If you have a MoBo with a 20 pin major...Ƒ) Hi! I'm the 21st century, good to meet you! ƒ) What are you performing searching at this high wattage of PSU? Ɠ) It creates a lack of "sturdiness" in primary connectors. Fine for splitting the gpu plugs, but the principal? genuinely?

Cons: found the stock CPU cable, and atx cable kinda short.

Pros: Definately a beast, probably won't need to upgrade to a new psu for quite some time. modular cables come sleved.
Comment:
Decided to upgrade my psu this year but was on the fence bc of price. Then I saw this bad boy for 129.99 after checking out reviews online I decided to buy and it. So far the PSU is quiet even with the 140 mm fan. The fact that this PSU is completely modular was a bonus. The only negative thing I have to say about this PSU is in regards to the stock modular cables. I found the stock CPU and ATX cables about 2-3 cm short for a nice fit (with a little slack) onto my coolermaster sniper, but they are workable. The other sata, and moblex power cables were however very easy to work with and fit nicely with the case.
