Cons: * Not modular
Pros: * Quiet* Long cables* Stable power Comment:
I bought this on sale to replace an older PSU. I am quite happy over the purchase so far and have not had any problems. The only downside is apparently these things have a high failure rate, so I would recommend taking the gamble. |

Cons:
None that I can think of
Pros: 800W, modular design Comment:
I've used OCZ power supplies in the past and have been happy with their quality. I've got a 500W running in my HTPC for the past 3 years and it hasn't complained. I would definitely recommend their hardware to anyone without hesitating. |

Cons: Failed after only 1 year
Pros: Good solid power... while it ran Comment:
Was a good solid power supply while it ran. Only had it a year before my computer would not turn on and the power supply displayed a continuous red light. Did a search online and found that the survival rate of these power supplies is typically measured in months not years. To OCZ's credit they're no longer producing this PSU and am replacing mine with a newer model. Still expected much better reliability from this company. Will see how the replacement fares. |

Cons: Needs good RMA service. Well-established reputation for unit failure.
Pros: Relatively quiet, stable, long cables for flexible use, strong RMA service Comment:
Twice had to return (good RMA handling though). OCZ has discontinued in light of EXS models; very high failure rate. See OCZ forums for proof. |

Cons: Faulty Design, dies after a few months
Pros: Delivers nice power, quiet Comment:
STAY AWAY!! Dies after a few months. My first ocz800exs died after 3.5 months, my second just died after 4 months. This power supply is faulty, stay away. Do a search online and you will see MANY other reports of the same problem.OCZ has excellent tech support and replaced mine with a superior PSU, but the hassle is just not worth it. Go with something else. |

Cons: none yet, but some won't like it because its not modular
Pros: very affordable for a 800w power supply Comment:
So far I'm very happy with the OCZ 800EXS. Picked it up for $140 plus a $20 mail-in rebate. So a very good price for those who want to power a GTX 260 sli or 4870 CF. Not modular so there are lots of cables but I managed to get all of them out of the way in empty harddrive and optical drive slots. Very satisfied with my purchase so far! |

VPN: OCZ800EXS

I bought this for a new build hoping that it wasn't the "flawed version" as the description stated. Unfortunately it failed after 34 days of modest use (Computer LED's came on as did the orange one on the PSU but the computer wouldn't POST). This PSU had some coil whine when I first installed it but that went away within a week. It also made a very loud grinding noise whenever I shut down the computer over the last week.
