Fits properly into a Mac Pro mid 2010 edition. Apps load somewhat more quickly through boot up. It did not reduce down set up time though (slow cd access?) but did make globe of warcraft load quickly when changing zones / load screens. Anticipated more! I was expecting a blazing rapidly response when i changed out my common mac book pro 5200 rpm tough drive. The value was not worth the "extra" speed i got out of it. Overall I'm okay with it. I installed 4 of these in RAID0 on an LSI 9260-4i and it freakin screams!!!蒤mb뫸mbWhile I will say that overall it is tricky to really feel any discernible distinction in efficiency amongst 1 drive and four in Raid0. Quick - when it's working Unreliable. Drive failed/died immediately after 7 month using. Appear like numerous have reported same problem soon after using x months. Did a fresh install of Vista 64 bit professional with no configuration needed. Boots up rapidly and shuts down quick.
