Cons: modular plug burned from the inside, died with an ~750w load

Pros: efficient, cheap
Comment:
One of my modular plug burned, that gave me a lots of headache since the plug was working 90% of the time, Symptom was GPU failure after a few hours. The PSU eventually died completely while having only 3 GPU on it.I am totally in love with the 850w model though.

Cons: none at the moment

Pros: very nice packaging, easy install, very powerfull.
Comment:
have received this item, all in perfect condition... if you look at the unboxing video it will show you that it comes in a nice little material bag, plus there is also a pouch for the extra cables that come with it. it is working fine in my build at the moment which prolly doesnt need more than a 700w but since this was on sale for 129cad it was a very good buy and more than enough power to upgrade still. would recommed to anyone who has a high powered budget build. wait for a sale and your getting a lot of power for your buck.

Cons: - Though within specification the ripple on the 12v line is a tad higher than I would like but no cause for alarm

Pros: - Very Quiet even under an ~850W load- Aesthetically pleasing- Great assortment of modular Cables- Low voltage ripple on the 3.3v and 5v lines- At this price a TOTAL bargain ($114 CAD)
Comment:
Probably the best purchase I've made at NCIX thus far. At this price there is no reason why a person should not purchase this power supply. VERY impressed. To top it off the unit comes with a 5yr warranty from OCZ. What more could you ask for?

Cons: Had some trouble fitting in my case (Raven Evolution) – fan grill prevented filter from attaching to back of case Failed shortly after first year.

Pros: QuietNo WhineModular PCI-E cables Long 8pin and 24pin
Comment:
Power supply fan died just after the first year (14 days). OCZ warranty is great; however, I was initially only given the option to mail the power supply in for repair/replacement. After asking about an advanced replacement, I was told that OCZ rarely gives this as an option (although, I was given the choice). OCZ would charge my credit card the recommended retail cost and upon receiving my defective PSU (mailed at my expense), they would issue a refund. Luckily, I was within two hours of the Ontario Warehouse and was given the third option of driving to the warehouse for an exchange. During the year that I owned the PSU, it was quiet, and made no noise (no whine or fan noise). I would have recommended this PSU to anyone, and after dealing with OCZ RMA department I am still satisfied with my purchase. As with everything, there is the chance that it will fail. If I had the opportunity to buy an OCZ PSU again, I would.

Have had no problem with this running my system i7-920 with 2 EVGA 470 GTX cards. Looking to upgrade and want to put another one in my new rig. Bought the 850 gold model for my wife when her old PS failed. It too runs like a charm.

Been powering my components just fine. 2700k at 4.4ghz with SLI 460's and now issues at all. There have, on occasion, been a small wining noise after it's been under load for a while. But it never bothers me, and hardly ever happens. Hopefully this will last.

Cons: Extra unneeded wires, that could be made modular. Doesn't have a module connection for old peripheral devices.

Pros: Worked out of the box.
Comment:
I upgraded my machine to dual-SLI for Christmas. Needed a new power supply and this fit the bill. Worked out of the box after plugging in the device. Greap price when picked up on sale!2 Compliants thought:- The device includes 2 different types of auxiliary mother board power connections straight out of power supply (non-modular connections), but only motherboards will need only 0-1 auxiliary connection; therefore, the other wire you have to just tuck away in the case.- The second thing is there are no modular connections provided for using devices the old peripheral (pre-sata) power connections. I have an old drive in my computer, that I had to use a converter for.

Cons: The extra CPU power conections could have been modular.

Pros: Lots of Power. 100% rock solid in my overclocked, crossfire, power hungry system. 5 year Warranty. Trusted brand and good customer service from the manufactureer from my experience.
Comment:
Most of the cables that are not modular will be required to power any system. Modular just makes cable management easier. More airflow is a joke. I went from full tower to mid three years ago so I pretty much have a Full stuffed into Mid. There is little to no room for cable management so cables are crammed everywhere. When you look in my window you see devices behind cables haha. Fortunately, the cooling options designed with my case keep my system 2-5 Celsius cooler than similar systems in a different case. I bought the OCZ Z-SERIES 1000W PSU in Nov for $109 after $30MIR. Just got my AMEX GC and the PSU is rock solid so far. Some of the cables are not modular (24pin 8pin 4pin Etc) but they are ones you will use. I replaced my 5+ y/o PC Power and Cooling Turbo-Cool with this model for an all new i5 2500k build. I doubt you'll find a better PSU in this class near this price. I spent $200+ originally on my PSU and it was well worth the money. It will probably last another 5+ years in the PC I put it in. Price is not an issue to me as long as the product can out perform models in cheaper catagories. The best PCP&C offers is the TurboCool line and current models are $400+. You can easily buy a PSU with similar performance and a quality design for around $200. I feel like I own one for only $109 after rebate.

Cons: Nothing really except that it isn't fully modular.

Pros: A lot of overhead for upgrades.Plenty of wires for SLI or Crossfire, and tons of RAIDPartially Modular
Comment:
I've read that people have been complaining about their unit screaming under a load. I have not come across this at all. I have 5 fans in my case and I can't hear it at all. I'm OC'ing my Intel I5 to about 4.0Ghz and running a GTX 580 3Gig on games for hours and I haven't heard a thing.

Cons: Noisy, It is not fully modular

Pros: 1000W power supply, 80+Gold, PRICE!!!!
Comment:
I got this OCZ PS with $30 dollar rebate. Which was a great deal at a time of my purchase. Few things that you should know about it before buying it: 1) It is noisy, every time you power down your system, it feels like that it is still running, humming noise. It could be because I am using Crosshair V motherboard, which keeps the board in standby mode untill you flip the switch to Off on the back of the PS. 2) This device is not fully modular, and if you want your system to be looking nice and pretty, don't buy it, get something that is fully modular and has nice wires so that you can hide them. I give this device a 4 star rating since it is 1000 and can handle lots of heat.

Comment:
I got this PSU for a very good deal. The 1000W power will last me several years at least. The modular design of the power supply is good although the 8-pin CPU plug is non-modular. For the price I got this for, I can't really complain. This might be the cheapest 1000W semi-modular gold rated PSU that you'll ever find (when it's on sale). The gold efficiency of this power supply will save you twice the energy compared to a regular one (at 80% efficiency).
