Cons: This motherboard runs with DDR3. I would have preferred DDR2 but none was available new.
Pros: Low cost. Support Legacy LGA775 CPUs Comment:
Bought this to replace a broken motherboard on a 4 or 5 years old computer's friend. I also had to buy DDR3 because his previous motherboard was on DDR2. For the price, I can't ask for more. Stable right out of the box. |

Cons: only two slot of ram
Pros: great price, use ddr3 (Cheaper ram)qood quality of construction Comment:
Bougth this board to rebuild and old server. I had e5200 cpu so decided to go with 775.The quality of construction is great. the blue color is good too. The bios has many tweakable setting for an mATX board. Seem stable and able to run by DDR3 memory (Kinkston Hyper-X 1600mhz cl9) at cl5 with no problem. I never had problem with asus board so I try to stay with them. |

Cons: -Last Gen MB
Pros: -Good MB For Price-Has A IDE Port Comment:
I actually had two friends with LGA775 MBs that died at around the same time. They also still had IDE drives they wanted to keep using. After not having any luck in finding a current gen MB with a IDE port I found this one. After installing the mb and ram I booted up and it ran like a charm. This would bea great HTPC MB or someone who wants a very inexpensive MB. I wouldn't recommend for a power user but would definitely build with it again. |

Cons: Nothin
Pros: Upgraded memory capacity Comment:
Replaced my other G41 ddr2 with this one in order to get at least 8gb. Work faster than the other because of the memory capacity now i 8gb is better. |

Cons: Couldn't get it to install win7 on ide hd
Pros: Working great to revive an old core 2 duo Comment:
Grabbed this with a bunch of older parts to make a cheap htpc and works great, too bad I could not get the settings right to install it on an IDE harddrive, I tried everything and ended up using a smaller 2.5inch sata |

Cons: mATX, no change in FSB to RAM clock ratio
Pros: Great price, DDR3, 4 SATA ports, good quality Comment:
I bought this board because the last one (4Core DualSATA2) didn't support the new video card we just bought (HD6670). I wanted something cheap that would allow to run the CPU for at least a couple of years and this board seemed to have good reviews.I installed it last night and everything went fine. At last we can use speedstep, that was not possible with the last motherboard. The new video card works just fine, I suppose this board accept all video cards which was not the case again with the last motherboard (I guess it was a special motherboard, AGP + PCIe). The RAM is only running at 800 MHz even if it says 1333 MHz is supported. This is because there is no control on the RAM speed, it got a fixed ratio with the FSB. But anyway, the speed of this computer is not that important. Maybe we will overclock it in the future if we feel it needs to be faster. I saw there were OC options in the BIOS so it should do fine, after replacing the stock CPU cooler. |
Good board for cheap. The Northbridge chip worries me. It is very hot to the touch. Wish it had more slots. One PCI slot is buried from the video card covering it. It is hard to find the drivers for it now. The BIOS download and drivers have disappeared from the Asus site. The non plus board has a different BIOS. This mainboard has good value for the money. The rest of this review is filler for the insane requirements to post a review.
