Bought this P7H55-M Pro motherboard and I5-650 combo setup. Every little thing functions fine. I read a evaluation that said he could not get W7 Ultimate to set up. I had no problem installing W7 Ultimate on this setup. The VGA and HDMI each function with this combo. I utilized Corsair CMX8GX3M4A1333C9. Put in a Hauppauge HVR-2250 tuner PCIE card and a Lite-On iHBS112 Bluray burner. Almost everything operates with each other fine. I do not overclock if that matters to an individual. A lack of the usual superb ASUS motherboard extras.

- User friendly BIOS configuration even if you're not used to play with it.- Simple overclocking capabilities by working with the "AI Tweaker" menu. Just be sure to set the correct DRAM voltage as it could result in instability. Similar issue with the CPU. Don't go more than the voltage advisable by your CPU. The motherboard won't limit this setting and you could damage seriously your processor.- Based on the size of your graphic card, you may possibly loss a PCI expansion slot and get only sufficient room to use 1. Be advised. None so far - More PCI slots would have been fantastic.

good feature set, fantastic cost point for a price range build for family members member to use for internet surfing, watching on the web videos and basic computing will not prepared memory that is on the qvl list every thing else appears fine, spent a half hour on the telephone with asus tech help this morning attempting to resolve (they had me try everything I have already tried to resolve the issue) RMA is going straight to asus and I will update the post after I get it back. I have built three other asus systems and under no circumstances had a single issue until now. motherboard arrived looking like an open box item which is not how it was advertised by newegg (very disappointing!!) I attempted to unique forms of Kingston memory with this board with the exact same benefits (nada) hyper x (not on qvl list) then I tried Kingston worth ram (on qvl list) and neither are ready whatsoever.I wonder if I got someone else's rejected board which is why I am most disappointed here. I know from time to time you will get undesirable components but when I order one thing new I do not count on to get something thats already utilised.

Runs beautifully just soon after set up. Constructed in video is superior than my old 7600 GT. Been working on obtaining a steady make given that Mid March. Haven't been prosperous but. Even RMAed the board. Hold possessing difficulties with on cool boot. Stop for an hour or two and the subsequent boot is undesirable. Their are also driver concerns with Win 7. It may well be just me. ASUS was good about the RMA, but even the new board isn't functioning... Have to be something else that causes challenges on boot.

no comment no comment I did not notice when I ordered the motherboard but it came with only two connector cables and no installation hardware. The hardware I am concerned about are the screws and posts required to mount the motherboard in the case. So when I opened the box I found I had no way to mount it. And two connectors cables? This is inexpensive.

decent MB for the price general nothing at all seriously, may want to see my tips in "other thoughts" If acquiring this MB make certain to check that the RAM is compatible with this MB! Some say PCI slots too close but lets be honest it is a mini ATX, that and Graphics cards are becoming substantially larger than in the past, so if creating a gaming personal computer and making use of PCI -Ex. most likely will take the subsequent slot as well.

HDMI out. A lot of USB and SATA ports. Turbo boost. AHCI. The suitable motherboard for a HTPC. Bought this as a bundle with the i3-550. Nice blue colour that will never ever be noticed as it is enclosed in a case. Price was correct. BIOS settings are a bit confusing and occasionally useless with AHCI enabled. I haven't seen an update to the BIOS or chipset since acquire. ASUS on the net support has been somewhat OK. No Firewire or esata. OS was not recognized on numerous occasions with several challenging disks. At initially, I suspected the HDD and cables. I replaced all, and the difficulty repeated. I switched to one more SATA port, reset the BIOS and selected the boot drive and BAM! it boots! I suspect I have a poor SATA port.

Bios was uncomplicated to use, could effortlessly overclock my i3 processor and the iGPU. Construct good quality seemed decent. The pcie x16 slot did not perform. At first I believed it was graphics card and I had to rma one particular of them, the 2nd one arrived and it also didn't work. I as a result suspected the mobo and had to rma it. I got one more mobo and the graphics card operates fine.As nicely, my new mobo appears "stiffer" than this one particular, I am not sure if it is due to the fact it utilizes Ŗ oz. of copper" to help the board but it flexes significantly less. It seems like a great motherboard, other than the reality the pcie x16 didn't work.

effectively laid out.has ASUS's common straightforward bios, good for OCing no RAID (see bellow)child blue color scheme.H55 will only boot from SATA (not ASUS's fault)warning: even with OEM bios setting the chipset can get dumb hot. plan on receiving aftermarket heatsinks if you are going to OC or you could nuke the board. i got a pure copper set by ENZOTECH, dropped temps huge time. i would never have gotten this MoBo if it was not component of a bundle, but it is a rock solid board that is great for spending budget systems.

It's an ASUS Corrupt BIOS. It may sound Geeky but it was not truly a con, it was enjoyable also troubleshoot. Board was shipped with what I think was a corrupt bios. SLOW SLOW SLOW, even to post. Attempted to install OS but it would have taken hours. I flashed to BIOS to latest version and we were off to the races.

Constructed my first LGA system nowadays with a I3 540 and it was a breeze. The board has an eight-pin EPS energy connector that comes with 4 pins covered, worked properly as I was replacing a server bard and employed all 8-pins fine. Someon said a video card may well block sata ports, my MSI 260GTX is longer than this board is wide, requires up two slots and it doesn't block any of the sata ports. There was no hole in my case for the bottom suitable screw-mount so I had to use a plastic standoff, I didn't want to drill a hole but my ATX case is over 5 years old. I constructed my new technique since my old one particular was a server board and really hot. I compared energy usage with a kill-a-watt meter, my old technique was 180 watts at idle 240 under full prime95 load. This method idles at 95 watts (including 5 difficult drives) and maxes at 140 watts prime95, BUT I pulled the MSI card and am employing on-chip, each video cards have been idling. I strategy to plug the video card in when I game and leave it out to save on the power bill. CPU idles at 38-40C and does hit about 60C beneath full load. Win 7 x64 provides me a 4.8 graphics and five.3 gamin graphics with on-chip. Haven't performed any OC but. I am loving this board and questioning what CPU I could upgrade to in the future when I have more money.

Nice board. Booted on initial (and each and every) attempt. Has all the connections I necessary (and then some) plus it has PATA support (transferred 2 IDE drives from an old machine). Nice layout and attributes for the price tag. Employing 4gb ƒx2) of G.Talent memory that is not on QVL but didn't encounter any issues. Great choice if you're not developing a top rated of the line gaming machine but want one thing for everyday use. So far so very good. No complaints. This is the initially time I've bought a micro ATX board (prefer the added space of complete ATX boards) and I am happy with it. Had to replace a Pc promptly and had a restricted budget, but I was capable to construct a decent Pc for about 踰. This Pc is mainly applied for net surfing and media streaming (to an Xbox 360 and a PS3) and makes use of the integrated graphics on a Intel i3-550 (no video card) and has worked flawlessly. I do not strategy on overclocking employing this board (no explanation to do so).

This is a great built for the entertainment purposes simply because of the HDMI, all I actually require to say is ASUS it speaks for its self. This is my 2nd Asus build (a friend create the 1st one particular) and I had no challenges with either board.I3 clarkdale 550Ripjaw 4gb 1600) memory160gb hdd (for OS)two 1tb hdd raid1 for videosThanks to the guy who wrote the threat prior to me, I looked into the bios settings and changed the video memory from 32(default) to 128 and now operates flawless for Blu Ray the Antec case warning speaker didn't match up to the pin cluster on the board. so I dumped it a bought one particular from newegg, just pluged it in (it only has two wires Ƴv an speaker wire) and it works..

Now that it is functioning everything is running smoothly. The only BSODs came from operating Firefox 4 beta although attempting to submit this evaluation lol. Has adequate sufficient ports for a moderate Pc gamer. Well Asus tech help positive took a whilst fixing the issue. They weren't lying when saying it'll be up to 10 days but just to flash a bios update come on. Don't listen to what they say on the forums it isn't your PSU. If you have a Core i# or any CPU not outright supported by the mobo you will need to flash the bios. Now if you don't have a different CPU laying around and who seriously does if you are acquiring this get ready to wait for an eternity to repair the difficulty. Also an additional eternity to get to you and superior hope they have the suitable address.

Where to start off! It's incredibly good worth! Best top quality, very very good documentation with the mobo, solid packaging. I love the express gate, its enjoyable to mess with, and aids if you just wanna verify one thing genuine quick.Came with ALOT of software, very valuable factors, drivers had been up to date and installed quick. Express gate wants to be completely installed so you have to install windows before you can run express gate. I known as Asus about a quick query with the CPU energy and I was put in a que then a person picked up and asked for my name and quantity since men and women had been busy, thought it was a recording so waited for the beep and the man stated hello?! Asus didnt impress me with my first mobo, M3A, but because then i've bought a G72GX Notebook and I adore the good quality of their hardware! I choose Asus as my ş favourite Mobo manufacturer.

Rock strong board. Running 64 bit Win 7 with no concerns other than a minor one particular which I'll address under Cons. No driver for Uncomplicated PCI Communications Controller. Opened a ticket with Asus but they are clueless as effectively. No Q-connect block/s incorporated with this board. Is Asus failing us the customer, I feel the answer is yes. The 5 Asus boards I bought over the final handful of years all had Q-connect blocks. It produced factors straightforward and slick. Put the Q-Connect blocks back.

It does anything I want. I use this, along with a GTX-260 to max out TF2, L4D and COD5. Only 1 PCIe x16, but you really should know that going in, microATX and all. I didn't use the ASUS Express gate issue, but it appears quite cool. The BIOS has almost everything I wanted.Because I have a discrete video card, I can't comment on the core-i3Ǜǝ GPU efficiency.

Very good utilities incorporated, uncomplicated setup. My program screams! None so far I purchased this to create an i7 technique, which suggests I wasted the built-in video, but the price was still cheaper than others I looked at. I choose utilizing a graphics card, anyway. I needed a lot more than a single PCI slot, which eliminated really a few.

Affordable, shipped with 0601. Operates. How it got passed me I dont know, But I was so glad to find out that the onboard GFX wouldn't function with the i5 750 I installed. I have been building and repairing computer systems for more than a decade and In my encounter you don't want a particular cpu to energy integrated graphics. Now you DO. so Read Read Study! And a special shout out to Intel for creating the Processor Model numbers, product lines AND Connected information much more confusing and convoluted as ever. Ran to Microcnter and bought a affordable geForce 210 for 35 bucks and got back up and operating with all the similar possibilities, DVI, VGA, & HDMI. However had I know then What I know now.. I would have gotten a P55 mobo not H55. On the other hand, the program is substantially more rapidly than anticipated! Prime 95 for 12 hours w/ no prob amongst other burn ins and benchmarks, and Passmark x64 overall performance test scores are blowing previous other systems with the similar chip. Win7 x64 is awesome as well! Operating Steinberg Cubase four on here mainly. In a position to load projects with 32-48 audio tracks loaded with Plug-ins that would stutter and NOT play on my previous P4 system.
