This is a great H77 board with all the modern features such as USB3 and 3rd gen PCI-E slot. It forgoes all the overclocking features of the Z77 chipset but is otherwise the same and would be perfect for an SFF m-itx build. Highly recommended for first entry into m-itx builds. |

This board is perfect for the Fractal Node 304 case which, coincidentally, has room for six hard drives. I paired this board with a i3 3220 and it's very snappy as an HTPC running Ubuntu 13.04. |

This is the 5th Asus board I've used over the years. Always solid and offer mainstream features for most uses. It would be nice to have on-board WIFI like some other manufacturer, but then it's not that difficult to add one if needed. Both VGA and DVI means more flexibility when it comes to display connection. |

Good board, no complaints. Works with 16gb of ram and a 3470 as a VM host. Don't need anything bigger than ITX to fit a CPU, a couple sticks of ram and a single HD, so it's nice to see a board with this form factor at this price point. |

I do not recommend anyone buy from this company unless you want headaches. After talking to multiple Customer Service Reps i've come to realize it wasn't the people i spoke with but this companies idea of what serving the customer is. Asus Mother board 5/5. NCIX Customer Service 0/5! |

Installed a I3-3220 and 8GB Patriot in a Apex case. Works like a charm... VGA/DVI/HDMI and USB2/USB3... every thing is there! WOW! Like it. |

I had switched over to this board after the Gigabyte board I had before was causing me issues. No complaints really, it works out of the box, and good price for a budget board. Would of loved to see more features, such as Wifi, and Bluetooth, like on the Gigabyte board I had before, but that's not important (for me at least) |

Another solid product from asus. If you are running the integrated graphics over HDMI, I hope you see this cause it will save you some time. Go into the bios and make sure iGPU is set as your default GPU. If you dont do this the hdmi will fail to work after you install the intel graphics drivers. However still a great board, running a 2400s in a m350 case, small yet snappy system! |
I purchased this on 2013-09-25 as I required a second server for source control and archiving (I am a professional software developer and IT).The build includes: Node 304 case, ASUS P8H77-I, i3-3240, 8GB Ripjaws CL7, Seasonic G 450W, WD Velociraptor 300GB (OS), 2x WD Black 2TB, 1x WD 320GB Blue, Silverstone SATA cables, Windows Home Server 2011 (Server 2008 R2 x64).The server is fast and a pleasure to use.Most of the computers in my office are running ASUS motherboards, everything from mini-ITX to the lower-end uATX to the high-end Maximus.As with all ASUS motherboards, this P8H77-I does not disappoint.It doesn't have all of the features of its big brother, the P8Z77-I, but for a source control server there is no need for Wi-Fi or Displayport.The P8Z77-I also has only 4 SATA onboard with the other two on the rear as eSATA, so that is a plus for this P8H77-I model which has all 6 SATA onboard, and is one of the reasons why I chose it.WHS2011 (Server 2008 R2 x64) installed without any major hitches, and performs exceptionally well.The latest motherboard drivers should be downloaded from the ASUS website, use the Windows 7 x64 drivers for WHS2011.The Ethernet driver will have to be extracted and placed on a USB stick in order to install it when prompted during setup.The Chipset, Management Engine Interface, Video, and USB 3 drivers should also be unzipped, and the Windows 7 x64 driver folders copied to a USB stick or the OS drive, for installation as soon as the desktop comes up.Install the drivers manually through Device Manager.For network data transfer rates I am achieving a solid 85GB-100GB/s for medium-to-large files over the gigabit ethernet to the shares on the WD Black.Robocopy and SyncToy scripts run quickly. I am well pleased.
