Pros: All the features of the previous S1500 model, but with extra functionality such as wireless and faster too. Comment:
Had the S1500 model for a couple of years and have always been happy with it. Tried this new version and it's even better. Wireless scanning to tablets, better feeder, faster, etc. Super easy to use, good quality scans, highly recommended if you want to get rid of all the paper documents in your home or office. |

This fast scanner has a small footprint perfect for someone who needs to scan plenty of paperwork. Handles multiple sizes of paper simultaneously. Has a text deskew option in the rare event paper gets fed askew. I've only had one paper jam so far and I cleared it in about 2 seconds. Very fast to open the interior of the machine. I don't use any of the software as I scan directly to Windows folders, except for a full copy of Acrobat (1 version behind current) which allows me to edit PDFs. |
This is the document scanning choice used by professionals everywhere. I've been eyeing previous models for a long time, but hesitated because this required to be connected to a computer.The new WiFi feature makes this really convenient because you can put it near the place where you open the mail (the main hallway for me). Location is key (as well as a nearby but well-hidden paper shredder). Otherwise, I'd have bring it into my basement office -- which wouldn't really happen.
