Cons: - as stated in professional reviews, cable management could be better. I drilled my own hole to route cables directly between the side panel and the mother board back plate - but I already knew I was going to be doing that, checkout some pictures on the Lian Li website, you'll see what I mean- only 3 HDD bays (but more than enough for me)- mother board mounting bolts are not standard size, need a non-typical socket size.
Pros: - light weight aluminum chassis (for only $100 CAD)- more than enough room for 8800GTX- outward facing HDD bays w/anti-vibration grommets- stylish, well built, quiet (although, I replaced the stock fans with Noctua 'NF-S12B FLX' fans for increased air movement but remaining relatively silent, so I can't really comment on that) Comment:
Overall, only minor difficulties in an otherwise great case... not enough to take away a star. I would recommend this case to any enthusiast (keeping in mind only 3 HDD bays) that don't mind doing some minor modding. Not that you have to mod this at all, I'm just picky! haha. Great case! |
Maybe not the best case ever made but for a 120$ case, you get something very good. The design is very nice if you're looking for something minimalist and subtle. The front 12cm fan cool your HDDs just perectly and the grid finish with the logo is very good looking. Front USB and audio well placed and discreet. Its all made of aluminum so its all fresh all the time and has a good back grid to evacuate the heat. I'm very satisfied.
