Lots of space for an ITX case. All round, high-good quality aluminum body.Lots of vents for air circulation.Space for quite a few difficult drives. Substantial for an ITX caseExpansion slots don't have the "slits" located on other cases that hold the other end of expansion cards down. The tops of the slot brackets are nevertheless held down onto the lip that they rest on with screws, but the other finish of the slot bracket of every single card (the component of the brackets that taper towards the finish) have practically nothing holding them exactly where they are. Due to the fact of this, when you plug one thing into the video card or whatever card you have in there, the card will "push" inwards. The left edge (when searching at the front head on) of the opening of the case for the five.25" drive door has a dent correct in the middle. The side-panel on the left side (when seeking at the front of the case head on) has a gouge on it like an individual dropped a screwdriver straight down onto it from a height. There's some rattling noise when my optical drive has a spinning disc in it.Front panel ports' hard wired cables are way as well extended. I've sent LianLi support an e-mail regarding a number of my "cons" and have yet to acquire a response. It has been a week already.

Excellent supplies, a uncommon mini itx case that can be much more than HTPC. Cooling and airflow. HD cage blocks case airflow even with just 1 disk and directly blocks the intake fan. I can't figure out any way to make my case anything significantly less than a jumbled mass of cables on the inside. Want I got a handful of further modest screws with the case. This case is the ONLY true selection for a core i5-750 / GTX460 gaming rig stuffed into a little type issue. This case has by far the ideal cooling selections accessible at this size, but it nevertheless isn't sufficient for stability in demanding games. BTW, the purpose for the 2 expansion spaces is so you can match a double-wide higher end graphics card into this case. But don't get as well aggressive or cooling will be an issue, like it is for me.

Truly properly place together. Difficult to beat for the value. Drives have been a little problems. I would have liked much more tool-free of charge installs.

-Tiny form aspect-Copious quantity of 3.five bays-Support for a regular ATX PSU-Same high quality of workmanship that goes into all Lian-Li cases-Added frills to make it worth the premium-Lots of airflow in a little enclosure which is uncommon -Vibrant blue fan which doesn't who would get this case-Nonetheless could be slimmed down. Lian-Li is about making issues comfortable to function in, but the concept of Mini-ITX is as smaller as achievable. Space could be removed from the leading and sides from the looks of it.-Two expansion slots? I don't know of a single Mini-ITX motherboard that has two expansion slots on it. I don't actually own this. Honestly I spent 3 months searching for a mini-itx enclosure nine months ago for a 'toaster' sized server. I ended up going by three cases, one that didn't have the space, one that ended up turning my 4 tricky drives into molten bricks, and an additional (Antec Mini P180) that was not mini at all. It was the size of a mid-atx situation and two instances as heavy, only it was produced for micro-atx motherboards.I ended up settling with my original server sized chasis with 4 difficult drives in it due to the fact there was not a happy medium and I ended up with micro-atx motherboard. Even in it's present state this situation would've been a life saver had it been around then and I'm debating on switching to it right now.6x three.5in mounts, ample airflow, and a five.25 bay to boot. This is the perfect toaster sized server situation for a raid array. Four three.5 bays would've worked fine, but this is certainly wonderful. To the other poster, purchase a USB card reader. It's wasted space for most.

Mates perfectly with the new Supermicro Atom D510 board. Im operating 6x 1TB Western Digital Black drives on Ubuntu Server ten.04 with 2GB of Crucial DDR2-667. The memory is a bit overkill (system under no circumstances makes use of more than 512MB), but the much more the merrier. I planned on working with the Chenbro mini-ITX server case at first, but it only didnt have enough difficult drive bays for the motherboard I had selected. Im also running an Antec Earthwatts 380W PSU with this create. I had to buy a blank five.25" bay shield, since Im not working with an optical drive. The LED fan in the front is pretty vibrant, and should not have been used in production. For those that program on maintaining this on the desktop, the fan is an eye sore. I replaced mine with a low-RPM Scythe fan. It reduce down on the noise and got rid of the overbearing blue. Lian Li tends to make a five.25" to dual two.5" bracket that can be utilized for additional storage space (sold at Newegg as well). Im employing a Rosewill RC-218 SATA II controller and booting off of a RAID 1 with 2x OCZ Vertex 30GB SSDs. This is the ultimate situation for a extremely tiny footprint server, and like I said, the new Supermicro Atom D510 board appears to have been made particularly for this factor.

little, but just massive adequate.holds 6 hdd's a dvdhas a removable tray Ɣ drives) and two below that 1.removing the four tray holder makes it simpler to fix last minute blunders (forgot to plug in dvd sata drive lol...)my mobo only has 6 sata ports, but i utilized a m/f sata cable, connected it to the typical f/f sata so i can hot plug play the 6th hdd with a dvd one.the bio settings isnt anything specific, it resets every single time you add a hdd for boot order, so have your boot drive in slot ..... tiny screws? lol, my Gerber worked, so w/e.installing a dvd drive that had a face was ridiculous...i had to take off the complete tray out.the face tray is kinda ... i had to pop out the slots that applied to me, like 2 of the four sata 3. and 3 of the 6 audio outs necessary to be poped. and the eth0 required a pop too.the face for the PSU was upside-down, as well basic, and the screws that came with it sucked... and the regular ones i had were as well big, i used a drill and created pilot holes also easy! im going over seas to Afghanistan so all the holes bothers me? lol, not a huge deal even though. just clean out typically?i have just enough room for a dd-wrt router to stick out, OH, and the guy who stated the fan was defected... it does function, you require to force spin it a tiny forcely initial use mainly because the plastic is force to hit the wall to cease damage in the course of shipping... the LED worked, so there was power, attempt operating with your gear next time buddy.I mentioned 4Ǜ mainly because the non standard screws had been a b*t*hthis was priceythe stabilizing plastic o'rings are a bonus. much less rattling from the hdd's.my rig:ZOTAC H55ITX-C-E LGA 1156 Intel H55 HDMI USB three. Lots of space for a Mini-ITX case.High-excellent aluminum body.Lots of vents for good air circulationHolds 6 disk drives, could be produced to hold possibly more with Pico-PS5.25 inch drive slot for DVD/BlurayRoom Full size PS (more of a con for me)Space for tall PCI cardDid not have dilemma with smaller screws like other reviewers(extra small screws had been provided.)Excellent case for NAS array, but could be smaller Poor arraignment of Difficult disksDisks are stacked horizontally, so heat rises up and accumulates on disks at best of stackPoor cable management / Ridiculous USB connectorPrefer drive connections facing toward back of caseCase is a bit TOO massive for a Mini-ITX board & 6 disks if you don't use full size PSU Ordered this case just prior to Christmas. Did not arrive in a brown shipping box, but factory box with photos etc. and the box hadn't been taped closed. It was also the last one in stock (Silver case). This case had been Used & RETURNED!! The front fan wasn't attached to the case and was rattling around. You could tell it was applied by screw marks where disks had been mounted, and power provide screws. I decided to preserve it and installed anything. Following powering on, the front fan, which I reattached wasn't spinning. I found the fan was defective and FROZEN SOLID/would not move manually. This is probably why the fist person returned it, and disappointing that it was not inspected and re-sold as new! After a brief on the internet chat with client service, they agreed to credit me ฟ for the defective fan. Overall this is the only actual selection for a case if you need room for 6 drives, but there is room for improvement.

Nearly there as a perfect Mini-ITX case.PC-Q07 was a step in proper direction but it was a bit awkward seeking.PC-Q08 gets to proper dimensions for Mini-ITX case.Full size ATX PSU.All that combined with most recent Lian-Li design attributes are a massive PROS. Speaking from experience of numerous builds utilizing Liam-Li cases. Cons:Only one external bay. Far more on that in "other thoughts" All case producers share similar oversight while designing tiny situations, mainly Mini-ATX. They go for smallest possible size sacrificing full size ATX PSU along the way. This is exactly where PC-Q08 gets two thumbs up. It may well not be smallest out there but it is smaller enough but also make additional sense then the genuine dwarfs.Yet another oversight is that we are experiencing major shift in storage:A. disks of 2TB capacity accessibleB. SSD adoptionC. continuing require for media readers (SD cards)D. continuing need for optical discThis is exactly where PC-Q08 and everybody else falls short:Why 6 internal disk bays ? four will be far more then a lot and space saved could be utilised for "media reader".The way it is now I require to make a sacrifice/choice:Optical disk or media reader ?Come on Lian-Li, you can do it !Make PC-Q09 with 2 or 4 (no additional) slots for disks and give two full height external bays rather of one.I will acquire in a heart beat and much more then 1 !

Cons: -Bad front fan filter design, hard to remove-Top fan grill is black, does not match case colour

Pros: -120mm intake and 120mm top exhaust-Nice brushed appearance-Very nice power and rest buttons, the activity light is integrated with the reset button-Good quality feet-Can mount 4 hard drives with a video card or 6 without one + 1 ssd under optical drive-Fits full sized video cards that do not use dual gpu
Comment:
I waited 2-3 months for this case and it was worth the wait. This is a nice case, I'd say it is one of the best gaming itx cases since it fits any single gpu video card. The case has a very solid look. Removing the side panels by unscrewing 6 screws on each side isn't very convenient though, should have thought about some standard slide mechanism. If you place a noisy hard drive with has loud seeking sounds, the whole case will generate a low rumble sound when there is hard drive activity. I'm not sure who designed the front filter but it is a pain to remove and to clean it, I just vacuum through the front holes since it is much faster and much less of a hassle. Good case not without some flaws

Cons: PSU cut-out is a little offYou might experience a little rattle with the HDD cage

Pros: High quality itx casePerfect for itx builds with full length video cardsALOT of ventilation
Comment:
This is my very first Lian Li case and I am very happy with the overall build quality. Amazing little case. I was originally planning on using the Q11 itx case, but decided on this since it would provide a little more room for future upgrades. I am most likely gonna go the water cooling route. I am currently using a shorter PSU so I am not experiencing any problems with the cables pushing against the HDD cage. The PSU cut-out is a little off so instead of sliding the PSU through the cut-out to mount, I chose to mount the PSU from the inside. Other than the fact that it took forever to get this case, Purolators fault, I will deffinitely consider Lian Li for my next build.

Cons: HUGE for a mini-ITX case. The PSU cables are bunched up awkwardly against the HDD cage when fully installed making the PSU wires and HDD cage bend in a way that makes me nervous for the longevity of my hardware. The front panel USB3 connection implementation is downright silly since you have to loop the header out of the case in the back and into the sockets on the back panel. It is useless if you use a dual slot Video card. At least it's got an adapter if you are planning on using just the USB2 headers. The PSU cutout hole is way too narrow. It scratched the crap out of the paint job on my PSU as I installed it. I practically have to force it in. A definite disappointment considering it's a Lian-li.

Pros: A full size mini-ITX chassis. No it's not a misnomer, it seem to be a mini-ITX designed with full size chassis features.
Comment:
Hooray, a mini-ITX case where I can install the Corsair H50 without doing any sort of modding. It is a mini-ITX case with Full size case features. It accepts my HD5870 and with plenty of room for even longer cards. It accepts full size PSUs, full size ODDs, and 4-6 3.5in HDDs. Of course all that features would mean that this is one big case. It is almost as big as some micro-ATX cases. There are quite a number of flaws that prevented this case from being the ultimate mini-ITX case for me. I certainly hope to see a revision of this chassis sometime in the future. Hopefully with some of the HDD spaces converted to 2.5in for SSDs.
