Cons: Cable management from PSU compartment to the motherboard compartment is too tight, top usb/sata ports useless if case under a desk, no instructions.
Pros: Great fit and finish, very quiet, good space to work in, native ssd mounting, good air flow over chipset and mobo, lots of exhaust for hot air. |
The case has great air flow and holds everything I want and is great once everyting is in place. The challenge is actually getting everthing in place.The PSU power cables come out from the bottom section right a the bottom corner of the motherboard where most sata/usb/headers are, and makes things really cluttered in that area. The plastic that lines the holes pops out really easily and is annoying when routing cables.The case is also not tooless as you need a screw driver to get the optical drives in place. There were no instructions in the case I got, and after trying to put the optical drive in from the back (it can be done but there is lots of cursing) I realized if I removed the face plate everything would be much easier. I mounted the optical drive to be flush with the front of the case as it is black and fits in well. The face plate door stuck a bit with opening and closing. The big 140 MM fans move lots of air but are whisper quiet when on low. An improved optical drive setup and better cable routing ideas would have made this the perfect case. PS if you need an 8 pin connector for your motherboard you will likely need an extension if you do not have super long leads on the PSU.
