Cons: Nothing of note

Pros: Works as expected, supported in 64-bit Windows 7
Comment:
I purchased this card for use with an Asus P6T6 WS Revolution motherboard running 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate edition. Physical installation of the card was straightforward - it uses a 1X PCIe slot and has a Molex power connection that I attached one of the free cables from my power supply to (USB 3.0 can supply more current to attached devices than 2.0 can, hence the need for the power connector). It's a low-profile card that comes with an included low-profile bracket.Windows 7 did not recognize the hardware on it's own, but installation of the driver from the included mini-CD was painless. The driver was created by NEC electronics, so I suspect that it's a generic driver supplied by the maker of the USB chipset on the adapter, not by Unitek themselves. With the driver in place, Windows recognizes the card and it works just like any other USB port. I also bought a Unitek USB 3.0 SATA docking station - that works fine and during file copies I saw transfer rates of up to 100MByte/sec using a 1TB WD Green drive, much better than the real-life 30-35MByte/sec that USB 2.0 tops out at.With the docking station containing a drive plugged in and turned on, you get the same "Eject Drive" taskbar icon which works just like a USB 2.0 drive would work.As an experiment I connected the dock using a USB 2.0 cable. This gave a pop-up notification that the drive was connected but that it would perform better if used with a USB 3.0 port - this mirrors what happened with USB 2.0 devices plugged into a USB 1.0 or 1.1 port. All in all the card completely meets my expectations.

Cons: Vista will not recognize without supplied drivers.

Pros: PCI-Express 1X & two USB 3.0 ports
Comment:
Works well once I installed the supplied drivers, backwards compatible usb 2.0 and 1.1. Once it was installed, it seems to work well in USB 3.0 mode but I have had much to test it with. I hope to test with more usb 3.0 equipment when they are available.
