2 gig for significantly less than 40 bucks .. cant beat that ! prior to i instaled this stick i had 2x1GIG Samsung Ram Sticks Vista rating system rated em at five.9 which is the highest u can get, but when i put this one particular in and ran the rating ptogram again i got a base score of 5.1 LAME!! Great RAM. Was a strict Kingston user up until I necessary a low-cost module. Seen Patriot and took a risk. I own five computer systems and they all use this quite module or equivalent modules with not a problem. two of the computers have had these modules in them for about a year and have been extremely incredibly pleased with them. Their no Cosair but lets face it, extremely few persons can honestly say they want that a lot energy. Save your self the problems and acquire this RAM if you will need an upgrade. No disappointments here. I honestly can't consider of any. Out of ten of these orders, all 10 sticks have correctly installed. No trouble. Only one I guess I can assume of is that when I bought these sticks, they had been worth twice as considerably. Second stick of Patriot brand.... and I am incredibly pleased. I like that it has a cooler on it. This stick performs flawlessly and I have a Quite - Extremely picky motherboard when it comes to RAM (ECS Nforce 570 SLIT v5.1) none Ran memtest86 on this stick for 15 passes and not 1 error. Vista doesn't give me the nvlddmkm driver error... like just about every other stick I have tried. Don't let the other critiques discourage you... this is a extremely great stick of RAM. |

upgraded from 512mb ram, took out the 512 and put in this and my comp. sped up like brand new. so far no concerns found place it in began up like a charm none so far quite nice ram for low end comps like mine. |

Great value, if you get one that functions. Process kept freezing/rebooting I added this stick to my system which currently had an additional Patriot stick of the identical part quantity, and the program became incredibly extremely unstable. Rebooting/freezing only a handful of seconds into windows. Took the new stick out, process runs fine. Ran JUST the new stick and tested it with MemTest86+ , it failed horribly. I ended up upgrading an "OLD" 478 board...the other one particular wouldn't boot any a lot more, sooooo...started off with a board that would accommodate my old processor. Luckily, it was the mobo, and got bought this ram...and whamo!!!!!...like a whole new laptop or computer...Good adrenaline shot for this old processor. Non at all. Makes my old machine run at least twice as excellent as prior to. Possibly I should have started from new and updated, but the old program worked great enough for what I use it for, and I'm glad this upgrade worked out...total for the upgrade was about one hundred bucks. Not poor. PS...this machine is NOT a gamer. |

Just functions None so far Place this in an atom 330 program to use as a central file server on household network. No complications at all. Have tried with windows server, vista, fedora, ubuntu. If you are looking for cheap ram to use in a small household server or maybe even a low use computer this is the correct item |

2 gig stick looks sleek and challenging and it functions no issues instaling it. my windows knowledge index on memory went from 5.9 with two 1gig samsung sticks to five.1 with the patriot two gig and 1gig samsung stick i guess they dont mix and mach as nicely. i may buy one additional of these sticks, to see if the index gets any superior. thats why i was hesitant to purchase two of these sticks, lead to i read alot about vista 32 bit only being able to read three gig.accurate or not im ,nonetheless gettin one much more of these. Great, low-cost, rapidly memory. Wonderful upgrade if you have onboard video, or any card that uses shared memory. I got two of these, but one was DOA. Return shipping expense, and lengthy time to get a replacement makes these not such a wonderful value to me. memory has the heat spreader, all mem must come with this. It snapped in and the personal computer came to life without a hitch. newegg RMA return was flawless on other memory that wouldn't function. no cons, this is a winner
