Small size. It's quite *very* tough. Mine has seen some actually horrid therapy and bad luck. It's been washed, three times, gotten piping hot in the dryer twice, it's been left in a driveway, rained on, sun-baked in summer time, and run more than many instances, bending the metal shroud about the usb contacts (easily bent back). it's been dropped a lot more approaches than I can count. I typically leave it out in the vehicle as a music library for my automobile's stereo, in anything from 100degree climate (up to possibly 140 in the auto) down to -20 in winter. And right after all of this, and two years of "regular" use, it nevertheless operates, no loss of speed, no errors. Reasonably quick, Rugged construction. I have purchased a fairly a couple of Patriot drives and have but to loose a single other than the 1 I landed on during a fall. This was in fact a plus for my application, but would be annoying to some.I would like to see a 16, 32, and 64GB version, but these are not offered. If you are searching for a hard decent USB flash drive, obtain this one. I have bought eight 1GB, two 8GB and 2 of what ever the purple a single is and have been very satisfied with them. The rubber bit slides off with a tiny persuasion and when combined with a Rosewill 7 port USB hub and a Linux Computer can be created into a strong state RAID array. |

Cute!Orange!Red LED, not blue! The loop on the finish of the drive is only by means of the silicone sleeve and not through the physique of the flash drive. I bought one of these and then I lost it. I bought 2 a lot more of them and modded them and Ive had them for months discover. These are held in place by friction, Mod guidelines-------------------------------------so my resolution was to pull the flash drive out of its casing. In the center of the metal there's a space, if you grab the edges with pliers and pull them at a 90* angle, then you can push it back in its casing. Push the metal via the rubber, and bend it upward creating a duel fishhook that keeps the drive safe permanently. p.s. dont bother attempting to preserve the cap, its falling off anyway :( if you don't mod it you will shed it i have 2 on my important chain. I keep 2 7.2gig truecrypt containers with a mojopac OS in a single and use transportable apps. Great device! |
