Performs good, no problems. Took a small longer to arrive than anticipated. But no massive deal. Switching out a 128 MB stick with this made a big distinction in efficiency, so obviously it functions fine. If you want a 168 pin SDRAM memory stick then this one particular performs just fine.Certainly make sure you know what kind of RAM you want just before you buy.

The package design and style is what sold me. I figured if they care sufficient to make it appear marketable, then the memory need to be highest quaility. Don't go by look ! The 1st set of 512mb x2 performed so poorly I could hardly sort out an email, there had been so numerous errors. The computer ran like an old 386 on XP. I got a replacement from NewEgg no trouble, but after using it for a month the computer system ran better but would give me BSOD many instances each day. The past two days I ran MemTest86, 12 hours now, and one particular of the DIMMs is packed with errors. I wanted to return it and get another brand, but now all I get is a "Not Eligable" message. I'm stuck with bad RAM. The RAM is exactly what the Motherboard specs call for. I don't do any hot rodding of computers beyond specs, and XP is on a fresh set up 2 or three occasions this month, with simple, signed drivers. Manufacturer Response:Dear Anonymous, I'm sorry your RAM is malfunctioning. I would like to help you RMA the module if you nonetheless have a copy of your reciept. Please speak to me at the address beneath and we will honor our lifetime warranty!John SmithPatriot Memory Technical Support Groupsupport@patriotmem.com

They perform. Memtest came up with no errors. No failures immediately after many months of use. none... effectively.... we do get out of memory pop ups with internet explorer. Using Firefox eliminates that problem. Possibly not associated to the memory set up didn't really look to speed up the 1.6ghz processing speed very substantially. Memory speed was matched for what speed the board could manage. I'd like to say that HD activity declined but with no clear visible HD activity light to view on the desktop, I'm not even confident of that. Memory functions, don't be afraid to get it, just didn't have the marked functionality improvement that I would have expected with the maximum permitted memory on board.

I installed the RAM in a Dell Dimension 4100 and it runs certainly great. The boot time has really enhanced and am very happy with my obtain. There is hardly something to complain about at all. The packaging was skimpy as it contained no paperwork or manuals whatsoever but truly, as a laptop technician I'd trash it anyway.

Almost everything is working fine now. The price tag with the rebate was unbeatable. Good buyer service if you have a challenge. The rebate was only applicable to one particular item, so watch out if you are acquiring several products! This was not apparent on the newegg internet site, only when I read the rebate modest print after it arrived in the mail. Buyer service worked this concern out with me in a timely and specialist way!

Im setting up a media center with my old laptop or computer, replaced a 256mb stick with two of these bad boys. Its an old computer that doesn't have to deal with something but Movies, modest games, music, and world wide web. not operating any hefty applications on it which consume a lot of ram. So with a mere gig of ram I'm zipping around. Where as just before with the 256 in it, it felt like I was powering this issue by steam. five eggs for no far more keyboard smashing!!! hmm. . . nothing at all on my end other than it was kinda pricey for such a little quantity. but I would guess If your operating Larger programs and several applications I believe you will see lags. My suggestion is to just completely upgrade your pc to something far more present day, you can discover lots of other style ram that have more substantial amounts per stick and are timed way faster. . . want it came in a more substantial size would have liked to fit 2-1gb sticks in it, but it will function for my purposes.

I'm utilizing a custom built old as h*** system, a p.o.s., really...but it required an upgrade...badly. Props to Newegg for still carying the ancient stuff..lol It took awhile to reach me, but I was prepared to wait. Computer didn't initially recognize that it was in there, had to shut down, remove it for a few seconds, then put it back in and restart, after that, it posted just fine. Can't beat free shipping, no matter what you're buying, specifically if you're on a low spending budget. Again, props to Newegg!!

Its the memory I need to have Didnt work for me Upgrading and rebuilding a Dell Dimension 4300 for a friend going from 2x256MB to 2x512MB which is the max for this machine. Memory installed and XP booted but began getting random and unusual errors whilst in XP. Lastly decided to run memcheck and came up with all sorts of errors. Not sure if its the memory or a compatibility issue but the program doesnt let you to make any adjustments so I'm sending it back and just reinstalling the 2x256 which functions fine. I've had a lot of luck with Patriot more than the years but this a single didn't work for me and it wasnt worth the time to replace it or try yet another mfg due to the fact the machine will be employed for incredibly light operate. RMA and completed. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Buyer,We are sorry for any inconveniece this may possibly have induced you. Its operates fine, its got a low latency (Good) for what it is, and appears to be reliable. Worked fantastic in an old Slot-Loading iMac G3 that I upgraded the bajebers out of. :-) Its high-priced. This size DDR= 15 bucks, This size DDR2= 10 bucks. But, I guess due to the fact its old its rare...and the cost goes up. hura! Its ram, it operates, and if it outlasts that iMac, nicely thats what it ought to do.

Does what it's supposed to Doesn't miraculously make a ten year old laptop or computer run faster. I am nonetheless shocked that they charge folks income for this ancient memory but I guess every little thing comes at a expense. There is only so significantly you can expect to upgrade a pc that came stock with windows ME on it prior to you can safely say you are beating a dead horse. lol

Working fine in an old Gigabyte GA-7VX Motherboard. Filled the third and final DIMM for a total of 1GB of Process Memory. Operating XP Household OS quite nicely now with an old TI-4600 4x AGP Graphics Card I had layin' around gathering dust. Fine for e mail, websurfing and playing older games that won't run on my Vista systems. I referred to as Patriot and they told me this is low density ram. The GA-7VX MB can use low or high density ram, but I read that low density ram performs far better. Totally free Shipping got right here faster than usual this time. I really like me some no cost shipping, in particular when it doesn't take forever to get here. Newegg, are you listenin' ? Rather costly when compared to current DDR2 and DDR3 memory costs. But still soooo a lot more affordable than it was when this technique was new. I Docked 1 egg since this memory must be about ten bucks. Athlon 1.2 ghz processor. In a Huge Full Tower All Metal Situation. I take the side off and there is a lot more space inside it than in the trunk of some automobiles I have owned : ) Manufacturer Response:Dear smoke I'm sorry the price tag point of this memory is restrictive for you. As manufacturers we are subject to a technology pricing window. Older parts and newer parts are additional high-priced due to much less demand for the finish item. The high volume elements are less expensive simply because the sell additional which is the basis for present mid range finish solutions. I hope this explains the situation and look forward to your ongoing connection with Patriot Memory!John SmithPatriot Memory Technical Assistance Teamsupport@patriotmem.com
