I needed something smaller and lighter than a 15.6" laptop, but with reasonable performance. This Toshiba fit the bill perfectly. It's light, just the right size, and has great battery life (4-6 hours). Performance is also very good for a 1.2GHz processor, DDR3 RAM is fast, as well as the hard drive. The built-in GPU can handle 1080p video and even output it smoothly at 1920x1080 over HDMI.The only drawback is the fan noise. The processor tends to hit temps of 45-50 degrees even while idle, and every now and then the fan kicks in at high speed to cool it down. At high speeds the fan noise is quite bothersome.
