I put appearance under the strength & weakness area because I really think it depends on age and personality here. If you like plain and simply, there are other units for you. If you like flashy and annoying, then definitely buy this one!I bought 5 when they were on sale and gave them all to a buddy of mine for his kids and a couple young relatives. I find them annoying. |

I needed a spare USB Hub. This one works fine. Unlike my last one, it supports USB 2.0. It is not powered, so it won't work for devices like iPods that charge through USB, but the price is right and it works perfectly for what I need. |

I bought this on special sale, it was 2.99. I bought this for customer's that needed more ports, for non-energetic hungry periphericals. Its very good when you can get it at this price because, I wouldn'T pay more for that item. at 3$ it is sold the price it is worthing, some people may complain there is a led on the top of it, but comon just DON'T look at it, or like some other people did, just put a tape on it so you won't see the light blink anymore!. |

Cons: i understand not providing an external power source for it, but a spot to plug one in would have been nice.
Pros: disco light! i like light shows. 3 usb port exstension, very nice usb extender. nice layout of usb placement. looks cool. easy to hide behind computer if you dont like the lights. does what its designed to do. Comment:
i've bought a cheap usb hub in past with a place to plug an external power and i ended up frying the hub (ooops). i have flash drives hooked to it and performance is fine. i find it useful for things that dont require much power for what usb was initially designed for such as a mouse, keyboard, printer, bluetooth. for all your power hungry needs, stick to the usb ports on the computer. |

I have another powered hub but it is not always practical on the road. I bought this hub a few months ago to take along my HP Mini. It works just fine. Like others, I don't really care for the flashing lights but our admin assistant does and she swiped the first one; so, I just bought another. For the price, you certainly get what you paid for; also, it comes with a 40-inch USB extension cable that would cost more if bought separately at other places. And the red colour means that I can find it easily a the bottom of my bag. |

For the price, you get what you paid for. I won't be buying this product again. About the only thing I can plug into this without it dying or having a choppy connection that prevents file transfers is USB flash card readers. |

good hub for laptops. Most laptops only have around 2-4 usb slots and this does the job well. The LED changes colour and is very annoying... would be better if it had no LED and the cord longer. |
Works fine, not much more to say about a USB hub that costs 3$ on sale.I wouldn't use a hub if I can use ports right on a machine, so I won't be buying many of these.
